As a skateboarder that grew up near snow I wish this was more a thing back when I grew up cus we had to wreck old boards to try to skate on snow! I think it’s not bigger cus most of skate culture is in areas where it doesn’t snow! So I don’t see people traveling to snow to do this when they could just skate their local park! This is niche cus if you live where your local park is covered in snow you have no other choice!

It’s wild to see the progression in snow skating being that it’s still pretty low-key when compared to skateboarding.Gaps are getting gnarlier, all this late shuv and late flip shit is pretty crazy, and then there are just the spots and what actually is skateable that’s intriguing as hell to watch. I hope we get another full-length video out of Ambition later this year though.

I remember back in the late 80’s I took the trucks off an old skateboard and waxed the bottom of the deck with car wax and hit the hills behind my house. There definitely wasn’t any of this going on back then. These guys are killin it! Gotta get one of these boards and hope for some snow this winter.
