15mm Figures Wargaming - Changing the number of bases without rebasing

  • Sometimes we want to use new rules that require units of more bases than the ones we already had prepared... This happened to Lluís Vilalta and me, although I was just starting my army, Lluís had already painted two armies with units of 3 bases (18 figures) perfect for the rules he was using until now.
But finally we wanted to use the Maurice rules, which uses units of 4 bases (24 figures) which forced us not only to buy and paint many more figures, but also to make them look more or less the same as the old ones. Some of them are not even still in production.
We tried to adapt the rules by changing the number of disruptions to break the unit, to not change anything and to dispense with the units being of 3 or 4 bases being the same in both sides... But we were worried that in this way the armies did not occupy the battle front that the rules suppose them. Finally we have tried the methods that you can see in the video.
    What do you think?

Good ideas for different frontages. In france we can buy a square or plastic hollow section the is just the right internal size for dice.

In Spain I have not seen these plastic parts, but here almost everything that is not 28mm we have to buy it abroad. Thank you very much for your visit and your comment!

Buen trabajo.

      caliga.net/imagenes/bases/a%20medida.jpg
