your looking sensational! you can really see the difference between those photos! so glad your work has those soups available that's going to make life easy post surgery. I have my appointment today with my surgeon hoping to get my surgery date... eeeek i can't wait to be on the losers bench with you!!
Thank you so much Claire. I do feel quite good about myself right now. Well at least in comparison to how I felt before. You are already on the losers bench because you have already started. I am excited about seeing how well you do.
You're doing fantastic, I wouldn't be upset about your loss this week, most people have a three week stall around this time. It's just your body adjusting to the change. I would definitely ask the Doc about the poop situation and make sure they clear you for extra exercises other then walking, remember you just had a major surgery and you need lots of time to heal. You look great.
Thanks Kirtie. I saw the doc today and he didn't seem concerned by the poop and told be to take more fibre but I already have quite a bit of fibre, so not sure. He did say I should be exercising now.
Hey girl! so we chatted before. I'm 5 weeks out tomorrow. I have been cleared for treadmill, stationary bike, and elliptical machine at the gym. no weights as of yet. I believe once I'm 8 weeks out they will clear for all exercise. I'm surprised you are still on puree, I was on soft foods like scrambled eggs, fish, canned tuna, cooked veggies etc after my 2wk post op appointment. As far as going #2 lol I also only go once or twice a week since surgery, very normal says my doctor.. I used to be daily. I also got my period the day after surgery while I was still in the hosp and once again since the surgery, all normal. I'm able to get all my protein in between 60 to 90 grams each day, but I have trouble getting in my water, 64oz is sooo much. I pee so much less now haha I'm never thirsty anymore. I just need to keep sipping. as far as intimacy, I'm right there with you, I always keep a tank top on with my boyfriend, always have. I hope to lose the tank top someday when I feel more confident! you look awesome! keep up the great work!
Hi Mel. Thank you so much. What you say is all very reassuring. The advice I was given was purée till the end of week 4 then start gradually adding more solid foods, which I am now doing.
30.2 !!! you definitely count the .2! Congrats on the loss. As far as exercise for me I did a very strenuous hike up a mountain in Colorado for over 2 hours (out and back) and it went really well. We packed some snacks and water. I just got cleared to go back to the gym on Friday and will be trying that out this week. I am a little concerned, but I think with the right amount of liquids I should be fine. As far as walking I have been really able to do as much of that as I wanted since about the first week after surgery.
