Agreed. Imo it's most fun making decks that turbo out garbage old boss monsters just for the spectacle, and using them to obliterate NPCs. They're sometimes fun in casual too, but it really depends on what's going on in casual at the time. I remember making a sick Masked Beast Des Gardius turbo deck using rescue rabbit and other stuff to fulfill the material, with the mask exchange skill to more easily search the actual guy. I even played mystic wok so I could send him to the GY to activate his effect on command lmao.
Deck building is like Chemistry. First rule, is to know all rules. The 2nd Rule, is to know all the exceptions to the rules. If I'm going to mix to archtypes together, I should know if they will explode or not :p
I'm with Sigmaballs guy. I love master duel until it become stale with nothing happened but chaos. Yes, I can build a meta deck easily, but there's nothing happened than a ranked event. So boring, that I move to DL again because of the newest addition of coin mechanic. Sadly Konami got greedy again and stop the distribution and at this point idk if I should play DL again since the events are as stale as MD
Aromage is a pretty cheap and easy deck that's simple to build and let's you flex into extra deck monsters with needing to run any to do what the deck does
It's good... for farming. it's not that viable competitively in ranked. The power level nowadays is tooooo big for Aromage to handle. Heck, it wasn't even competitive 2 years ago. I think newest deck nowadays can achieve a lot like both farm and ranked of think than old deck. But if there's 50% off discount, then go for Aromage.
@@moh.syafrianabie8899 I've been playing since launch and kog consistently, aromage has always been a pretty decent rouge deck and even today you can KOG with it, ladder is no where near as competitive as DLM tournaments and stuff. the deck is simple enough to pick up and play, has a decent power level and lets players dip their toes into the extra deck mechanics and stuff, its a solid deck tbh
@@alsparkproductions7849 I haven't used only them to KOG in a while, I've used them on the way to KOG but the deck is rather grindy so just playing them to KOG would be a slog. I've been playing Duel Links for a week now and actually managed to craft a solid Gravekeeper deck, since I got pretty much all the cards there. The only thing I'm missing is a 3rd copy of Necrovalley. I'm not so lucky with Dark Magician... some cards just aren't easy to come by. Trying it now with a Gaia deck and a Warrior deck. Nevertheless, Gravekeepers are a lot of fun right now, although of course they can't compete with "Legendary Decks". But they are running stable and I can fusion into Quintet Magician relatively quickly
you know funnily enough, i havent even watched this anime yet, but for some reason youtube keeps suggesting Sakanaaaaaa to me. Which is clearly perfect for this.
I stopped playing yu-gi-oh! almost 2 years ago and now I am approaching with my girlfriend a new card game. We watched this video togheter and we "fixed" our decks. Now we play with more confidence against each other. Thank you for this video
Me as a broke dark world player in DL... my god you're right, and honestly I found it both tragic and hilarious because it has been taking me quite a few months to build the deck only using free gems, but boy when the deck (even incomplete as it is) goes off, it's so satisfying.
I usually run a toolbox of timelords alongside 3x speedroid horse stilts and 3x speedroid razorang and a montage dragon. 1 forbidden chalice, 2 kiteroids, 1 empress's staff, 1action magic full turn, 1 celestial transformation, and a rank 4&10 xyz toolbox complete the deck
2 more additions: You will always hate graveyard effects and if you want to watch the world burn and feel like going into your villain era, you can always play burn decks
Addendum to how many cards you need: Ratios and percentages are important. Example: If you want only 1 card starter in your hand, that is 8 in a 40 card deck, or 12 in a 60 card deck to maximize the odds of drawing only 1 copy in your starting hand. Because you draw 5 cards which is 1/8 of your deck if it is 40 or 1/12 if it is 60.
Funny story. I got really into deck building with the game Kingdom Hearts chain of memories. You use cards to attack in this game, and i made a deck that could abuse a mechanic called Slates so i could press one button to beat most of the games fights. Good times.
I've tried to make Melffy work but we have like 4 Melffy cards which barely work together and have no wincon without raccoons/generic beasts. Anywho, nice little guide for starting players. Might be a good idea to make a video on things like inherent summons and chain timing for things like Roach and Dweller. I mentioned chains for Dweller because I've seen people try to chain dweller to a graveyard effect during my main phase when it's already too late. And Roach, well, I'm sure a lot of new players will struggle with the wording and why it isn't stopping Blue Eyes from being summoned during the End Phase.
Ive thought about making an advanced guide for things like chaining, chainblocking, inherent summons, damage step, etc. Though I know galaxy guru has been doing those little by little as well.

I'm a new player just learning the rules coming from MTG. I'm looking for deck recommendations with a few stipulations: I want to limit everything aside from Normal Monsters to Effect Monsters and then either Synchro, XYZ, or Fusion. (And maybe Link Monsters if those are necessary with any of those strategies?) Also, and maybe most importantly, I'm "not interested in winning"... I wanna play a T4-T6 win deck haha Edit: These stipulations are because I'm still learning and I need to limit the number of things I'm trying to play at once

I tried deck building with a spell caster + warrior archetype… but then decided “fuck it” and focused efforts everywhere and decided that 2x tribute summoning was the least I wanted and went for special summoning. Nothing was ever more annoying than trying to match having a Dark Magician and two tributes waiting. Or having only a dark magician and no lvl 1-4 monster to play. Also I got into XYZ summoning. So. There was that. 😂

I wanted to make a Madolche deck because monsters are adorable, but now that I know they're a toxic deck I don't know whether to continue with it. Can you recommend me some decks with adorable monsters?
They're not inherently toxic, it's just the way they're played right now in DL. Nobody's gonna hate you for playing madolche simply because it's not top tier, and also you shouldn't care in the first place Aromages are hella cute and fun to play but terrible Melffy is cute but not strong Fur Hire is arguably cute, decent and will get great support in the future Solfachords are arguably cute and very strong Magician girls are cute and average strength Rikkas are cute, decent and will get amazing support Trickstars are arguably cute and top tier, but will become progressively worse Witchcrafters are cute and would be decent if they actually unlimited them, but I don't think they will and their support isn't too great either Hope that helps!
@@phromkatv well if you want to😂 but generally all these decks are better if played with other characters. Best for Ishizu is orcust, which is definitely not cute but definitely top tier
basic explanation: some effects make you decide on what its gonna hit right as you activate it, and some effects make you decide what its gonna hit when it resolves. Main 2 differences are: 1 that some monsters will specifically be immune to targeting effects ("this monster can't be targeted") and 2 since effects that target make you select targets when you activate it, your opponent can chain effects that can counteract what youve done to those cards.
As a Superheavy Samurai player I rebel against society and attack in defense position. Some tryhards that only look at meta decks and not rouge decks get flabbergasted dueling against Superheavy Samurai and most of the time lose because they never seen a deck like this (or I immediately lose to "there can only be one") One time I attacked with Stealth Ninja to attack directly and the guy asked why his "Sphere Kuriboh" didn't activate? most painfull for f2p because you dont have good card .
It seems like it, but I still can't find a video that explains deck sizes and card limits. Like, I think a "playset" in Yugioh is 3 cards, not 4?
