I'm laughing because i rubbed my TV screen a few times on the prior episode thinking it had dead pixels or grease on it. LoL seeing the whales has to be exciting. Very interesting material from the docent at the whaling museum. Sounds like it was a miserable dangerous job in many ways.
😊whaling was definitely a miserable job, both for the mariners and for the whales. Thankfully is over except for a few countries in the world. 😞 Thank you for your comment

Ahhh, Stellwagen!!!! Good on Ya! Tristin & Flabio- come on- those are stage names!!! But, if you're gonna expose your life on YT, I guess you should protect your privacy. My stage name is Curly Indianhead, so- you both beat me by a mile! I worry less about the smaller species of whales but -the bigguns make me nervous! What if they decide to breach right by your shiny new Seawinds 1600 'Wanderlust'? Oops- sorry guys- didn't mean to shatter your boat! Loved the video capture at the whaling museum- priceless gift to those who have no idea of the hardship of coastal life from the late 1600's to the late 1800's. Not sure if you got the same feeling that I always do seeing the entrance of Gloucester Harbor- I think it's a mix of relief & joy? Invariably, I had to sail (whatever boat being delivered from 34' to 60') in the rain & cold to ensure arrival at a specific time for the owners to arrive? I honestly can't remember a sail that was sunny, clear (no fog or low clouds) and warm- let alone a combination of any of those features? Hahaha Ah, the joys of New England sailing, but- you've already had a few weather adventures so far (Henri & Ida, recently). But, Gloucester is such a beautiful harbor, it brings soul peace to the conflicted. A great place to be in a storm- those moorings are checked annually- no weak fittings, everything works as described & my favorite "Calibration Not Required". If your ball is good to 50'- it really is good to 60' regardless of displacement. Not many harbors have that kind of safety- I sleep easy in Gloucester. Obviously, I'm so enjoying your trip, I think you'll be passing the house on the way South towards Annapolis & the Chesapeake soon. If you need anything...(don't have a spare auto pilot laying around tho!) just reach out. Us Yankees are ingenious and find ways to get needed things & stuff. If you get to Portsmouth or Seabrook... Travel safe, enjoy & hope to get to Annapolis to meet you!
We’re so glad you enjoyed the video David! New England weather is a rollercoaster for sure but overall we’ve been quite fortunate. Gloucester is a beautiful harbor with an interesting history and seems to be battling a changing world in regards to fishing regulations and climate. We’re in Maine now, heading back down south. They had whales in Boston harbor this summer who needs a whale watch boat😱😁😁 by the way to try to squeeze that thing through the anasquam River🤔👍
