As soon as I watched the trailer and heard the song, I knew I had to find it immediately, that's how I found the original Ellie Goulding version. Always loved the song from there on but also finding Active Child's version, the original creator of the song, I think, was just a true blessing. And now she's gone to another country for many years, and everytime i play this game, i always remember my lovely sister that we were playing this game together on PS2 and GOW3 on PS4.

Ascension its probably the tragic story in the series, Orkos fought for Kratos's freedom to the point of giving his life only for ending being slave of his own rage resulting in the destruction of the world, the exact thing he was triying to prevent Kratos fought for being free of the Fury's illussions and get the truth to only results in his nightmares and desire to never have found it, to leads to a Kratos to still has a little of hus hummanity inside of him to the animal fuel with rage that was in other games

I come here when I feel the need to cry for my fallen dad who died last year from sepsis. I was still in the Navy and on deployment somewhere in the North Atlantic on a carrier and when I received the news from my CO personally. I immediately went to the fantail to watch the sun set over the Atlantic ocean and cried bitterly on the railing for what to me seemed like hours. I wasn't able to be there for him in his last moments...but he'll always be like Kratos in my mind. Forever.
Revenge has two parts in it, the first is getting even, maybe making the ones who hurt you suffer the same feeling you endured, maybe making sure the sinner is punished or probably letting karma have its way, and the second moving on... Sadly the latter is oftentimes harder...
It's sad how the trailer was able to convey more emotion than the actual game itself...I'm the biggest God of War fan there is but they really blew it with Ascension,I hope that with the return of Cory Barlog at Sony Santa Monica Studio,the God of War franchise can find its stride once again and return to bask in the glory of being one of gaming's biggest franchises wiping off any wrongdoings that Todd Pappy might have done to the franchise with Ascension! I have faith in Cory as he brought us the best GOW game with GOW2 so I hope he succeds...Until then I look forward to Stig Asmussen's project since he's also one of the more talented dev's from SSM and hope that,in 3 years time,we will talk about how God of War redefined the genre one more time! Tate Armstrong I never said it wasn't a "good" game but compared to the other God of War games which were beyond amazing it was just a dissapointment,it felt like a rushed game with few boss battles,some bad design choices(like making the parry useless or instead of aquiring other weapons with different magic you just have some different elements to 1 weapon-it feels cheap),the story was just eh...(for reference I cried when I saw the live-action trailer but the game made me feel nothing) and I could go on...but basically It just wasn't as polished as the other games in the series and I'm not the only one who felt this way after playing it!
***** I think the game as a smaller entry was fantastic! The most emotional part for me was (SPOILERS) when Kratos had his hands around the Fury's neck when she was assuming his dead wife's form. That just made me feel sick, and I loved it. With regards to the weapons, I really liked what they did with the blades of chaos. REMEMBER, they allowed you to use spears, swords and the sort! They didn't overburden you with tons of useless weapons like GoW2. Granted, the story wasn't that great, but a solid entry in my opinion!
Make the creator see this, GOD OF WAR ISNT ABOUT KILLING GODS! Its about a man, that was broken by the gods, got his revenge and has been trying to redeem himself ever since the first game. The first information we get from him, even before knowing what he did, was knowing he spent 10 years serving the gods to be forgiven and having his nightmares removed.
Its because if you truly follow the series then you will understand how amazing the storyline is and all the pain and torture that Kratos went through... the loss of his family... If you get submerged in the storyline like alot of people do then this trailer tugs at the heartstrings and perfectly embodies the feeling you get from the song.

Its because if you truly follow the series then you will understand how amazing the storyline is and all the pain and torture that Kratos went through... the loss of his family... If you get submerged in the storyline like alot of people do then this trailer tugs at the heartstrings and perfectly embodies the feeling you get from the song.
