They are cool. I have a 2001 5.0L V8. When I bought it the previous owner had done coils, 2 inch lift, custom exhaust, headliner, timing chain, valve gaskets, and resprayed it with Epsom Green. I’ve put brakes, rotors, wheels, tires, heater core, fuse box, BECM, ECU, LEDs, and on and on. It puts a smile on my face more than almost anything Else I’ve had. Yes, it’s English. Yes, it can annoy you. BUT…it’s just COOL.
I have had mine for a year now, under rated cars. The Callaway is neat too. Best driving position, greenhouse is excellent and you sit up top. I think they get a worst rep then they should, they are known to have tons of electric gremlins but now being a 20+ year old car there is tons of info out there on them and tons of knowledgeable people and most has been figured out, plenty out there that have no lights on the dash and are working as they should. But just like any old car they need maintenance. Cruise control buttons are the bottom ones on the steering wheel. Is this one still on air suspension?
Great find for the price! Especially with EAS. Sorting it is going to give you some brain damage, but there is so much info and good help online via FB and RRnet from folks keeping these on the road. I honestly don't know why discos of this era get all the love over the P38.
That's why you convert it to coil springs. There is no point in fixing that system and is will never ever ever be fixed and done. I drove my Callaway on the Bumbstops several times and finally had enough. The guage cluster will light up like a Christmas Tree any time of year. Extreme rare and awesome vehicles but so unreliable it's disturbing.

Lovely P38,
I have a 1997 4.6 V8, just love it,
We love these. Definitely a diamond in the rough if you have the patience to own one.
