mana does everything! true not in this live, but, basically all music in the background of every song, he has composed and recorded himself. he writes all the songs (with exceptions ofcourse) and designs all the outfits, writes all the lyrics. hes amazing.
Wanted to say that too! Also mana did compose a lot of stuff but Kozi as well ! Not everything is from Mana chan ! (Judging by the superb bass here, this song might be from yu ki ?) Also LE CIEL was composed entirely by Gackt.... So yeah. Mana did a lots but not everything. MM was a band, not a solo project. Oh and last but no least : hamon and regrets have ZERO mana in them. It actually is. Someone I know died...and whenever I listen to this, I become very happy, I think about him and I'm all better. Trust Mana and Gackt to do it for me.
TECHNICALLY, the band isn't disbanded. On their website, it says they are on an "indefinite hiatus". Tetsu is completely correct, he didn't like the overall craziness of the lives, mostly. Many things factored for Gackt. Him and Mana had artist disputes on the groups image, and he also was being pressured for a solo album because of his success with the band.
I haven't listened to Malice Mizer for years, and suddenly wanted to find a song. Think you can help? It sounds kinda whimsical, with an instrument that kinda sounds like those pop-up clown boxes, and the song is pretty short, maybe 2-3mins. It's about someone trying to remember their love's face or something like that, and the lyrics described a world with horizontal out-stretching lines. I'm sure it's Malice Mizer, but there's a small chance it may be Gazette.. listened to both of them around the same time, over 10 years ago :'(
