I wonder why there are barely any/no similar bands like Malice Mizer, as in style and quality. Man... Can someone recommend bands with the sound of the album "bara no seidou"? Y'know, metal, industrial, organs and choirs. preferably not japanese?
I'd say "Nocturnal Opera" from Moi dix Mois (which you may already know since Mana is the composer) might be the most similiar album to "Bara no Seidou", albeit different, but it's got what you're looking for. If you're looking for non-japanese original artists that might remind of Malice Mizer (but that aren't metal), I can think of "Army of Lovers" and most importantly french singer Mylène Farmer's early works, who was the main inspiration for Malice Mizer (you can see it even in the naming and logo of the band). I hope you find what you're looking for.
