I went to double check since I think multiple people were speaking- not sure but it was hard to try and separate in my brain. I'm pretty sure she did say 'uta' or 'utau' but those translate as 'song' or 'sing' which is a different word than what 'speak' translates into. In vain! I was not the only one in that situation.
