      @@bobbowie9350 I get that, but I’m just really glad we have a Z in this world. Collectively, we have nearly made cool cars extinct with having everything be overly practical. I say the more sporting cars, the better even if they’re not perfect.

      I don't feel like the pricing and packaging was very sensible. Base model is less equipped then even far more affordable cars, and the top trim everything isn't much cheaper then a Supra or loaded Stang. Which both outperform the Z.

  • @TonyKimtheamusementparkfan

    Love that Nissan has decided to make a new Z car~ I mean analog cars can be good, and it's nice that this car remains very mechanical like the previous generation was. I mean between this and the GT-R (which is sadly going away soon), both are very mechanical, raw, visceral, and still quite fun. Sometimes you want a sports car that feels older, more raw, and more connected, and I think Nissan achieved that.

    • @WD.909
      @WD.909 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    • @TonyKimtheamusementparkfan
      @TonyKimtheamusementparkfan 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@WD.909 It's probably because Nissan has to meet certain regulations for the GT-R to even be able to be sold in certain countries, but unfortauntely it didn't. It wasn't sold in 2022, but it will be reintroduced for 2023, and after that I think the R35 GT-R will not be sold anymore until a new generation comes out hopefully. GT-R hasn't received a major update since 2017 and has remained the same. I mean $113,540 is not cheap anymore and certainly probably not a lot of people will buy the NISMO GT-R, which is now $210,740, so a lot of people really don't see reason to buy the GT-R anymore, since it hasn't changed and Nissan is trying to at least make a little more money on what is left of it, but there are some who really like it (including myself).

    I don't like the fact that it is about 150 to 200 lbs heavier than the 370Z and has a less responsive electric steering system than the 370Z's manual hydraulic rack. With a good aftermarket exhaust and intake system plus a dyno tune, my 370Z is putting out about 378 hp at the crank with a normally aspirated engine. I've taken about 65 lbs off of my Z and so my horsepower to weight ratio is about the same as the new Z, for about $15k less. I prefer the German Supra with the manual honestly. You get a premium sports car with better numbers than a 23 Carrera T at a Toyota price

    The competition is that 86 in terms of sales, hell that Ford GT is more appealing than both cars in my opinion

    Throttle House had a great, if disappointing video on the new Z a few weeks ago, if not longer. I’d say check that out, but if you’re here you might have already seen it, and was just hoping for a more positive review. 😅

    useless car when dealers are asking for for ridiculous amounts of markups still, especially when they are effectively forcing you to get the upper trim for the LSD along with the other useless options

    I don't see a compelling reason to choose this over a Mustang GT or Camaro SS. All 3 cost about the same and drink gas, but the V8s are more powerful in the real world, sound better and offer vestigial back seats. The Supra is probably the fastest of all but sniffs $60K and will have BMW maintenance costs.

    Nowadays cars with no physical button, only digital, cars drive yourself won't age well. Instant torque is the only thing EV has.
