    Dear Ember-
Effing phenomenal. All of it. This is the new front-runner for me and my family. If I could change one thing, I would make that ceiling height 7ft. It already feels big and open, but a 7ft ceiling would drastically increase that feeling, making it truly ahead of everything else in its class.

    • @EmberRecreationalVehicles
      @EmberRecreationalVehicles หลายเดือนก่อน +1

The height is variable inside, slightly taller in the front and sloping to the rear (for water run off). Best to actually walk the coach to feel it out!

This company, Ember, is so on the ball. You look at one and say wow, that's is so well built and so nice. Its exactly what I want. THEN.....they come out with a newer model and you think , I like this better. What a company, just cutting edge and better.

I love this one!🥰 Especially the bunkbed option or extra storage! The one things I wish to see in campers is options for easy rolling extensions tray in the pass through storage! The ideal of trying to grab items out or putting items in cans be exhausting or hard for people with back issues! I know that you will lose 3-4 inches in the space but it beats trying to get to storage boxes in the middle or taking most of the items out to get what you need! Murphy’s law say the item you wanted will be in the middle!😊
I know most people may not want this feature that why I say optional! Overall I love this camp! It hits a lot of wishlist we wanted! I like removable tables for the sofas!

Love this Ember product. Speaking from a solo traveler with a ride along sometimes… I will never get any RV with a slide. That being said I really like 99% of this Ember. If the slide was removed, I would replace it with a fold down table along the wall and 2 chairs in place of the sofa - then I would be 100 % in love with this one. Traveling with one of my sisters that may come along or one of my adult kiddos bunk area and Murphy bed works.

    • @janmoline
      @janmoline 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

@@JoshtheRVNerd absolutely but what intrigued me there was that the base portion could remain the same. It looked like a flag pole could pop right in just as it was. I've seen a hitch mounted bike rack that pops in petty much the same way. I know the physics change as more weight and torque are placed on the hitch but it would be interesting to see if a few options could be developed.

It’s a tribute to the team at Ember that they not only make products we loved at first sight, but then went and listened to the feedback and made products that are even better than before. There’s so much to like about this including just how they did so many things right in the first place.

I'd put an awning over the slide out. As for the convertable bunk/storage room, I'd remove the bunks, have a fully screened enclosure added to the back opening to be used as a catio, and a plexiglass door to close off that area from the main area. People love their pets! This would be an excellent business opportunity for those with building skills. IMO. I'd have this parked permanently on a small rural lot. Heavenly, to me.

I've got to assume that other manufacturers are looking at Ember with the realization that the game is changing for everyone. Ember is moving the bar and it's exciting to watch! A serious candidate for being the only RV you ever need and it looks like it's built to last a lifetime. Like off-road vehicles, the heavier duty components tend to last longer because of the build quality. You pay for that but as the old saying goes, you get what you pay for!

The convertible bunk may have me sold. I've been considering many bunk house models with the intent of removing the bunks for storage. With this model, there is no need for the removal. More manufacturers should copy the convertible bunks. I hope Ember offers this feature in all their product lines.

Love what they're doing! If Ember is still listening, I'd love to see their 201FBQ without a slide, with a pass through bathroom (please give us a bunch of room around the toilet in exchange for a big sink and counter), and with seating/windows in the back of the trailer. It'd be okay to sacrifice some storage and maybe going up to 25 ft total length.
We'd be a working couple full timing or mostly timing with a love for boondocking. If the kitchen counter or relaxing area could do double duty as desk space, that'd be awesome but not necessary. All we need is separate spaces and a walk around queen gives us that.
Also, does anyone make a smaller AC that doesn't mount on the roof? Or first RV didn't have an AC so the previous owner installed a small window unit. It took up cupboard space but that's okay... we don't need the microwave! It worked awesome and was very efficient.
Last comment I have is that I love all their high quality choices and for consistency, I'd love to see some Victron solar bits and bobs.
We'll keep watching and when the get closer, we'll see Josh and his peeps immediately! Thanks for all the great tours Josh!

Love this, wonderful amenities. I have been keeping an eye on them since you first introduced this brand. Got to walk though and see them in Denver a few months ago. Only fault I find is why they have a round kitchen sink (at least its deep)... should be illegal in RVs along with ovens! So many kitchen items are square or rectangular so you loose a lot of sink space trying to wash items. Ovens should not be default on RVs, should be an option only so happy to see they dont offer it.. The space RV builders use for ovens is so wasted, losing so much storage space. We are on our 4th RV (travel trailer, toy hauler, 5th wheel, Class A) in almost 20 years and we are lucky if we use an oven once a year and we have lived in them full time off and on - our class A doesn't have one and it was top of the line. Convection microwaves are the way to go. If someone really thinks they need an oven then can have it added.

I just love it! It's perfect - that's exactly what I was looking for. Especially the Murphy bed with the cabinets on the side just like I requested! My only option would be a desk under the Murphy bed instead of the couch but you need to have some place for the electronic stuff. But other than that it's awesome! I would probably leave the very top bunk in for storage and maybe put a little patio table and chairs in there and open up the door, close the screens and have a little indoor patio or breakfast nook. And I like that they have the bathroom enclosed also! Thank you so much guys for listening to us! When I get rich and famous I will be ordering one from you! Lol!

A canvas sheet that stows under the bunk mattress pad, with a rope sewn in the top edge with clips at the end. The clips clip to the wall so you've got a kind of side hammock. If Ember reads this, they're call a 'Lee cloth' on sailboats to keep you from falling on the floor when leaned over and bouncing over waves. They'd be easy to add to the bunks, then you'd just need some pad-eyes on the wall.

They also took out the shelf on the right side of the gear box, so you should be able to fit 2-3 20lb tanks on that side if you want to really maximize propane for cold camping.

The info you shared on towing with a lock-n-roll hitch and electronic sway control was especially helpful and gave me some great additional information that I was able to research to better understand both ESC and the brands out there with quality ESC products. The fact that you, Ashley and the rest of your senior mgmt team, as well as your engineering team, take the time to rep your products in person at regional RV/Outdoor shows is just another way that Ember stands apart from other RV manufacturers. Always have loved that big window up front, that's what first caught my eye. I am a complete novice to RV camping from an owner's perspective, but I can see how this one would be so versatile and allow me to work from the road without feeling as though I was camping per se. I also love that you can camp in colder weather as well. I love the screen wall in the back. Aside from Josh's idea about the back door screen, If it was possible to have some sort of reinforcement to the screen to protect it from overly protective Pomeranians or other pets from putting holes in it in the bottom section, that would be helpful. Maybe even depending on what is stored there. You might want airflow but at the same time have the bug screen down. The flagpole idea is also a good one or maybe integrate a way to put a pole for a satellite thing like Starlink. This model is definitely on the top of my list of towable RVs. Josh: What size vehicle could tow this? I wonder if my 2012 GMC Acadia Denali AWD could? I think it's probably still a tad too heavy for it. But am not sure. Would you happen to know?

I don't like the sofa mount tables; I'd prefer free standing.
Does the bunk mattress really hang over the edge of the bunk by a few inches or was it just not put on properly during vid?
I wish you could put the bunks side-by-side, maybe with a fold-down center leg, to increase the weight limit. With 3 platforms & mattresses you could do a lower double with an upper single bunk. I'm imagining camping with my daughter, her husband, and a grand kid (which she doesn't have yet, lol).

Honestly I love this trailer…the layout is amazing, especially the bunk/office area…this would work for now for my claustrophobic daughter with using only one bunk but then when I retire I can use it as an office and occasional adult kids visitors space! And I love the update of the screen!!! Great move…I wasn’t a fan of the velcro style…too easy for bugs to get in!! Ya ya I know, I’m camping! LoL Love ‘The Chase’ scene at the end haha! YES!!!! FINALLY!!! I love everything about this 221MSL. Ember really has been listening...and I've been patiently waiting for it! But some specific things that I REALLY LOVE that are fairly recent additions include:
    - The new sliding screen on the MSL cargo area!!!! That's WAY BETTER than the Velcro or snap version they had previously
    - The tie-downs on the floor of the cargo area
    - Bendy bed for max pass-thru front storage, but with option to leave down permanently in "road mode" with a traditional one-piece mattress
    - That they eliminated the shelf in the righthand side of the storage box to allow for clear-span storage area!!!
    - Black "EmberTrack" rails to match the rest of the interior instead of leaving them unpainted/silver
    - The return of the drop-down stabilizers and Euro windows
    - The change to Victron solar components
    - The location of the TV and added interior storage is MUCH better than the 191MSL
    - The new Truma air conditioner...and I'd like to see Ember move towards a 12v air conditioning unit
At this point, any WANTS are pretty much nit-picking, but a few suggestions would be:
    - Agree with you that I absolutely would like a pull-down screen or small screen door on the back access door to open it up and/or the side door for airflow
    - YES, modifying the front tongue-jack hole for a flagpole holder would be AWESOME...because you could use it for a flagpole with either a flag or as an antenna pole for mounting a cell booster/internet antenna!!!
    - 12v power line to the front storage box to mount things like a Viair air pump or other accessories that need power
    - Small gear access door(s) on the outside of the slide (ala Rockwood/Flagstaff) to access the storage behind the couch from the exterior. - - - - Since there is no option for a dinette, adding doors should be straightforward and that allows you to store messy things in that storage area that you don't want to haul thru the interior of the RV
    - The option of a third interior EmberTrack rail on the inside wall (outside part of the bathroom wall in between the two existing rails) like on the 191MSL prototype video, and would also like the option of a full double upper bunk (or even better, optional hinged flip-over/folding bunks that can serve as the base of a single or double bunk)
    - A return of a second ladder mount on the non-camp-side of the RV...maybe in front of the slide where you can reach the solar panels (to clean them) without climbing on the roof
    - Absolutely would like to see a convection microwave option since Ember has made it clear that they are not going to consider adding larger stove/oven units
    - A couple of 'grip clips' mounted just inside of the bunk-side cargo door to store the removable wheel chock grab bar/'gas station murder hobo defensive club'
    - I'd still love to see Ember bring back the single-post entry stairs that they had on their original prototypes (but couldn't get mass produced)
    Questions:
    - Why don't they align the three solar panels at the front of the roof instead of off-setting them? It seems like that would better maximize accessible roof space. Is there a reason they don't line them up?
    - Did I see a new air vent into the storage box in the upper corner of the righthand side of the box?? What's that for??
    - It appears that they have put sturdier latches on the bunk-side door, which is great...are those the same as the deadbolt lock on the rear door? (For security, they should be)
    - I see that they moved the solar controls out of the front pass-thru...where are they now (they didn't make the video footage)? Are they just inside the door on the upper cabinet?
    - Is that stylish backpack and water bottle on the floor by the front door included with each MSL model??? 😁
Regardless of my few 'nit-picks', this 221MSL is nearly perfect 'as is' and I'll be buying one with or without any further improvements!
P.S. If you have "a video on every single Ember made" (which I know you do because I've seen them all), why are you "so tired for filming all day"??? What else could you possibly have been filming all day at Ember???? 🤔😉

I want something like this. I am 71 and will be living in an RV by the end of the year. I need to haul 23 totes and an 84" Sofa I just bought. A travel of 2200 miles from Texas to Spokane, WA. After there the totes will go into a 2 car garage/shop, and trailer, possibly behind my daughters home for a summer home for me and fly to Texas November to April. My pickup will tow 8750 pounds, but it's a 2016 Ram with 140K. It's getting tired..
I kinda like the Surveyor 190RT but this is better for me.
But I keep watching you. I like how you give the specs right at the beginning. Not many provide that anywhere in their videos so I just stick with you.
Ideally I would go with a murphy bed and couch plus a dinette model. I priced a PODS to ship the stuff and it's over $4500, I'm down to my bare minimum. What don't fit in the before mentioned totes it's not going. Tough love.. I'm going from a 2100sqft home to this, a lot of stuff to get rid of.
I may explore destination trailers if the more permanent site at my daughters can be legally accomplished.

I think they should figure out how to keep the bunks from the bank house (cause rhey are really nice). And just have them on sliding tracks and still removable/foldable. They are so much nicer than these "planks" in the MSL. Or even just one of the bunk beds from the bunkhouse on Tracks that could be lifted out of the way. And you can still have a hammock and a kayak (which are two of my favorite activities).

Some AMAZING things for sure, that suspension😍convertible bunk area 🥰huge skylight 😮, TV across from the couch 👍front hitch area 😎, but I just can't get past an RV that doesn't have a door on the bedroom. I know too many couples who have bought an RV layout without a door to the bedroom and they always, always end up regretting it. Someone inevitably wants to stay up later or wake up earlier and sometimes you just want some privacy, especially on those rainy days when you can't get outside. GREAT video though.

I love it. This is a great upgrade with the slide down screen. I was thinking the back cargo door would be great with a screen of some sort or I would get one after market. Then I can work in the breeze.
I am so glad they changed the slide system. That was making it tough for me to push these up my list before.
I do hope they get the convection oven in there.
The one minor thing is the tv spot isn't great, but I don't see a better spot in this one. I like the location in the bit bigger ones.
This is for sure at the top of my list.
If I was being picky they would have some kind of recliner or foot rest even if it is just flip up fronts.

Regarding Solar Panel Mounting - Carry those front 'shark fin' rails back along both sides so you can mount lots of solar panels in a rack system instead of poking holes in the roof. Look at the Imperial Outdoors rail/rack system on the X195 and X145. More panels and bigger batteries!

      I want this quad-msl
      as a Solo-Full-Timer.
      -I have a Dodge 1500 v8
gas 4x4 to tow with, and a
GCWR of 12,250 half+ is the
fully loaded truck by itself. (6,250lbs w/full cargo)
**I know I’m not the only shopper with a 1/2 ton, who
      really wants this quad-msl,
-but the weight of this unit
      is pushing me out.
      Even a ‘slide-less’ version of this quad-msl, w/east-west
fixed bed or maybe the orig. east-west murphy, then pair
with a wall mounted table or
      wall mounted lagun bracket,
(ipo slide, in that area), then
      add back overhead cabinets,
      adding 2 really-truly Comfy,
      movable, euro style chairs or
recliners, like toy-haulers use, and This would lower the weight and maybe the
      length for 1/2 ton tow-r’s
and keep the same function with the quad-msl. The two
chairs can tether in the back
      for transport using the
E-tracks, and one or both can be fully removed for weight concerns.
      **This unit, (slide-less) can
      also be made for wheelchair
      accessibility without many
      more mods. (just a thought)
I did see the sneak peak that
Josh got at the end of the
video, but all the units had
      slides that were seen, and
      appeared to be 3/4ton rvs.
I’m not going to replace my 1/2ton truck, so i’m shopping
to find a well-built unit with
      quad-indy suspension.
      -5,000lbs unloaded weight
      would hit the bulls-eye for
      my purposes. Ember has
      gotten So-Close, but it’s
the 1/2ton truck I’ve got to
      shop for. No-Bo’s have the
      same quad-suspension and
      drop-stabilizers, but forest
rivers build quality is not good on most of their rvs.
      (Rockwood is the exception)
      Please Ember,
you guys are so close to the
      5k unloaded, 1/2ton tow-r’s
      bullseye, is there another
      innovation that we 1/2ton-r’s
      can anticipate in the quad?
      -Most Sincerely-
      Eliza G.
