I think that's the biggest problem w yellow hybrids. Figuring out what 'the sauce' is. It has lots of tools! But putting a working list together just isn't easy.
Nice presentation. Always appreciate how succinct your videos are! My money's on Mirage Galaxy Soup. It has not only had high presence in the top 16 of competitive events for the past few sets, but it also takes top 3 slots frequently. I'm excited to see if the cards we get from the Limited set can shake things up.
Thanks! Galaxy soup had a really good shot and i don't think its a stretch to see it win at all. I would be surprised if all of these decks didnt make it top 16 at least since theyre all pretty great
Yellow Hybrid is a solid idea, but I prefer to go with the easiest answer. Probably is going to be Mirage, or Fenri since both decks benefit from scramble cards, are easy to piolet, and can ignore whatever jank the opponent is doing. Sure Venus shuts it down for a turn but they probably are not going to face a yellow hybrid deck since there is not a lot of current players of it showing. If yellow hybrid is just a tad to slow it will be ran over by the plethora of otk decks.
THIS. THIS RIGHT HERE. This is why I want Venusmon hit. In this extremely aggro heavy format between aggressive removal and aggressive tempo swings, Venusmon tells the opponent "No you can't play the game" when every deck needs to use its When Digivolving effects to prove why it's useful. It's unfair to other players or the game in the same way Numemon was unfair to everyone at the point it was before it finally got a HARD slap on the wrist.
It'd be funny if Yellow wins Nats again with a control deck. And I wouldn't be surprised if at least one person in top 16 punts with Hybrids and End of Turn effects; though surely not as a certain Levi player.
If it hits it's pieces I think it would be very very strong, but its still possible other decks could highroll and just roll over it before it can get going. It'll definitely be interesting to see what the top 16 shakes out as!

Definitely a challenge, but I think if someone does it the deck is gonna be a problem for a good chunk of the meta
@TeamDeathSlingerTCG I would be playing it!!!

I think we will see purple hybrid with a yellow top end be really strong
That's possible, I think theres a wide pool of options that could make the yellow topend really good. Excited to see what people wind up doing!

It would be funny but also tragic if we just went full circle lol
Do you have a deck list?
Working on one, but don't have one ironed out
I think Yellow HB, in the form yoy lag out, could absolutely face roll other decks.

@TeamDeathSlingerTCG well I'm interested to see how it turns out 🤠
