Despite the interruptions, they were pretty in-sync in their conversations and thoughts. It’s really only annoying (in my personal opinion), when people are interrupting each other and clearly not listening to what the other has to say. To me, the I interruptions didn’t detract from the conversations at all.
I really enjoyed this hope they do more like this ...as a resident here it was like walking through the auto show with 2 friends, due to my work schedule and travel , I missed the auto show so this was good... It was a total like for me 👍,
The thing that I love about this video is that you have a car guy in George that has the car knowledge compared to a guy like Roman that thinks he has the knowledge. George is just a pure car guy and car historian.
Cool tour of the auto show. It’s funny how people where pretty polite and didn’t photo bomb you guys until you got to the BMW booth, then it was constant porcupines needing to be wherever you where at any moment.
I just rented a '22 Grand Cherokee Limited L. I thought the interior was ... quite honestly, cheap and skin-deep luxurious. Way too man creaks and rattles and cheap plastic. You can wrap and stitch leather on top of plastic panels, but you can still tell they're plastic panels. The Drive selector knob - while metal - was wobbly and felt cheap. The rear view mirror camera was terribly washed out and unusable. The UX of the infotainment system wasn't the worst, but it was full of so much obscure iconography that I didn't natively know how to use the thing. Add in that the engine in it - while making acceptable noises - was really not all that impressive.
Absolutely a superb show. The synergy between Roman and George (Moto-man) is the best. Also of note is the videography framing by Andre which adds additional commentary on some things that George and Roman are not directly addressing.
Thanks for the auto show tour, I always love a good Roman and Motoman episode. I have to say, no matter how much I agree, it always seems so out of touch when motoman quotes Dave Ramsey telling TFL fans to never buy a car you can’t pay cash for when he talks about the airplanes and six figure cars he owns in the next sentence. It’s like Brad Pitt giving an average joe dating advice like “just be yourself and women will come flocking.” Also, I am the exact target market for softroading family haulers. When my daughter was born I happened to have been the exact right age to be bitten by the Overlanding bug I sold my beloved Mitsubishi Montero and Mazda 3 and replaced them both with a Nissan Pathfinder Rock Creek. I love the car and even though it can’t quite do the same trails as the Montero did, it can haul my dirt bike to the trail, lumber and full sheets of plywood from the hardware store and still have room for my whole family. I love it and I’m glad they made something for a guy like me. Thanks again. I want to see Nathan at one of these car shows next.
This is my most favorite of all your show Roman. Have to admit, I also remember things like Roy Rodger, Gene Autrey and Annie Oakley so I'm kind of dating myself. But the free form and spontaneous responses are superb. So many times now days it feels like, you need to strap on your seat belt and get ready for a formula One ride through facts and figures. But this was different definitely looking forward to next years version. Small fact back in 1972 when I lived in Modena Italy I drove one of the 1st Prototype Lamborghini Countach at the St Agata Factoria!
Moto man is a snob. Still enjoy him sometimes. Chicago is not a international auto show it’s a consumer show. You get to actually drive and be driven in a lot of cars. Though it has lost a couple manufactures but for the avg consumer they were to high anyways.
Cool or crap? Crap! Search Underground Racing Audi R8, and see what real power can do. Who needs electric lmao. The Audi runs 7’s all day long, had AWD, and can easily be converted to Hydrogen in the future for emissions. Sorry GM, Street racers and their tech have been there and done that decades ago….
this was a great vid. Two awesome car enthusiast ok three lets include Andre, giving two different views and perspective .... best quote about chicago " they got the worst Quiche "
Good to know I'm not the only one that thinks Jeep nomenclature is ridiculous. The Cherokee and Wagoneer should be the regular size version and the Grand Cherokee and the Grand Wagoneer should be the extended length model
A subscription for heated seats is insanity. You've already paid for the car. How are they going to charge your for what's already yours? Now new upgrades to the infotainment? That's something they can charge your get. Because its an upgrade just like getting new tires. A better model would be for car owners to add quirks and features that come out later on in newer cars that weren't offered previously.
Sadly the Twin City auto show moved back inside a convention center. 2022 the show was outdoors at the State Fair grounds was more of a hands on and test drive event. Going from a looking forward to a meh but I need to event this year. As I want to buy a car and like the convenience of seeing all in one spot.
51:57 They have so many trims and versions because the avg buyer doesn't know the difference. Jim and Ann just want a comfy 3 row SUV of some size >large, because anything less apparently won't fit their 2 kids once fully grown up and still living with them. They might have a budget. They like elevated drive positions: they want the visibility to pretend like they will try to keep their vehicle from drifting out of the lane or taking multiple parking spaces, and the bigger tires and suspension help them when they inevitably hit a curb or the rumble strip or edge of the pavement. Jim might be interested in the horsepower or towing number for bragging rights. Other than that they couldn't care less about the name of their oversized grocery getter so long as it's the right Badge. If they all sorta look the same then the salesman can easily switch them between vehicles, and if the same platform has multiple configurations the production costs of offering multiple variations are kept low. If anything they could even lower costs by boosting production of lower selling models that now functionally (at least as far as the avg buyer will ever tell) overlaps with better selling ones but at different price points.
John Davis is God, I am a former Motorweek watcher for 40 plus years, but Now Roman & George have taken up my time with there modern take on autos etc.😊
Assininity to categorize a fun vehicle with a demographic and to avoid it by association. FACT is old rich people get cars most can't but systematically provide those same cars to middle class at an affordable price with time and miles. People who are rich haters don't realize it's the avenue to their own very access to latest technology and vehicles. Don't let people back your thoughts in a corner. Tell them to pound sand. People get what they want and don't need thought police threatening them.
What are the demographics, and number of people that you spoke with that we're complaining about the Eray's propulsion system? Or were you just making that up?
Why would anyone purchase a Land Rover product is beyond me. Who cares if it’s great off road or ultra luxurious. With one of the worst reliability issue, when will you get to enjoy it😢😢😢😢😢.
Autonomous cars? Electric cars? Cars that only the well off can buy? I guess I'll just ride my broke ass bike because city transportation systems are crap. I can't wait for the future.
I like the old Roman before he started constantly pushing EV's. If the technology is there they will sell themselves, but the technology is not there yet for people who don't live in the cities. Hybrid cars are a better option for most people.
Actual hybrids(at least one version) has a proven good record.... sports not realy hybrids'' are mostly just a waste asking for trouble as far as anything points to at the moment
Enjoyed the episode, but Roman should think twice before doing another episode with George. Moto-man shows how superficial Roman's automotive knowledge really is. Roman likes to offer lots of opinions and weak analogies while George gives actual automotive facts and bits of information.
Yes, but positioned above and behind the wings on each side of the rear fuselage similar to other bizjets. But the mounting to the wing in that configuration is definitely unique.
Another video going on and on about ev's. Elon Musk, GM, Honda and Toyota all have said ev's are not the future. They may work for a few, but the majority of Americans do not want them. A 50 to 100 grand golf cart, hard pass. Used to really enjoy TFL and all the different shows but, each show always seems to bring up ev's.
Good friends with the designer? But i cant think of his name? Also this Motoman does not know his facts. It goes stingray then Z06 then E-ray then ZR1 then Zora. Everybody has known this for years. Plus he talks too much.
With all due respect, material is great! However George is a bit too much, takes over the show, and full of himself. Really difficult to his obvious self absorbed look and listen to me over Roman attitude. Again respectfully said , We just want to get the information and view of the vehicles, Humbleness by Roman is easier to watch…
Dang this Motoman dude is trying to take over the video. All of his opinionated talk with random “facts”… totally killed Roman’s chill vibe. His “facts” can be right but he’s so annoying and it’s not his channel!
I could have done without the constant reminder that I'm a low life because I can't pay cash for a car. 🤦. I also listen to Dave Ramsey and have goals but maybe the video should stick to car facts instead of finance advice.
GM could build a 2000HP Corvette and sell it for $1.00 and it would still be total trash. Corvette's & Hummer's the pinnacle of horrible design & engineering

That is the greatest comment I’ve ever seen on a TFL video.
thank you for saying it
Entertaining video, agreed with very little of what they said.
Agreed it’s always 2 reviews in the same vid with them
+1 .. These two dudes know more about contemporary automobiles than . . . . MotoMan has impressive Auto/detail chops ... Cheers
I always love a collaboration between Georgie and Roman.
correction; That Lamborghini Countach
Starts at $2,640,000.
I really enjoyed this hope they do more like this ...as a resident here it was like walking through the auto show with 2 friends, due to my work schedule and travel , I missed the auto show so this was good... It was a total like for me 👍,
gotta say, love the combo- such different styles, and together they are great! thanks guys!
The thing that I love about this video is that you have a car guy in George that has the car knowledge compared to a guy like Roman that thinks he has the knowledge. George is just a pure car guy and car historian.
@ForeverGo Blue.... That's bullshit form Dude... Be nice..
You know I’m right. I would had not made that comment if it was Andre in that video.
The HondaJet is a big deal, and I'm happy you guys covered it!
Hyundai can call the Ioniq 5 a crossover all they want, but with it's proportions it's literally just a big hatchback, and I love it for that.
Love the colabs with MotoManTV!

Screw subscriptions!! When I buy a car, I pay once for the content and features.
Yeah. If there’s a subscription to use something, I want that equipment and technology taken out and deducted from the sales price.
Great coverage as usual Roman& Andre!
And George Too!

The new Atlas looks terrible - which is unfortunate since the current version is pretty handsome.
For VW, I wont be buying any of their vehicles until they return to physical buttons on the steering wheel and for volume/climate and fix the UX
Stick with Roman & Andre.
Good collab

This George guy really likes to listen to himself.

Did he call the cullinan a Bently .?
I feel like Nissan should’ve skipped the Ariya and just electrified the rogue. Same thing with Mazda and the CX5. They’d sell like hotcakes.
Electric CX5, even a hybrid in the US would be nice

Roman talking about cool, yet look at the shoes he's wearing.
