This stupid situation should never have been allowed to happen. The IOC should be ashamed of themselves for putting female boxers in danger of serious injury. Male or female identity is straightforward to test, and they will be either X or Y. If Y they are male no matter what is stated in their passports. I cannot understand how the IOC have let this happen, not only is it dangerous but it's also grossly unfair to the female competitors. The Olympics used to stand for honesty, sportsmanship, and fairness in sports competitions. If the IOC want to let Transgender competitors compete then they should form a third group and let them compete against other transgender competitors. I will not be watching any future Olympics as they have totally lost my respect for the organization.
I totally agree with you. There needs to be a level playing ground, especially when it comes to any combat sports. A person's feelings should never come before the safety and health of other fighters 💯
They will only fight who they are allowed to fight. The IBA recognised this and disqualified Khelif last year, but the IOC have not involved the IBA in the Olympic boxing in Paris and have lowered the standard to enabled Khelif to fight.
Fast twitch muscles , 25%! Faster reflexes! …..thicker neck muscles and trapezoid s….denser muscles which allow for a longer yet strong frame. In a sport like boxing where lethal injury is always a risk , this is insanity
Absolutely appalling it's an embarrassment to men and very unfair to women and if he's proud of what he did he ought to be ashamed of himself absolutely disgusting
It's borderline bullying in my opinion. Knowing that you've got an unfair advantage in a fight and getting enjoyment out of it is really not good. An individual has to be mentally unstable or a psychopath to want to inflict hurt and pain on someone weaker than them.
Although I agree that there are a lot of question marks surrounding Khelif, we can only go by the information that we have been given. Olympic Committee made a statement that Khelif is a female, but never said whether or not she had taken another chromosome test to determine whether she is XX or XY. There are photos of Khelif as a child and she looks very much like a girl in those photos. It is speculated that Khelif may have DSD, where a person is born with both ovarian and testicular tissue. Even if person's genitals may appear female, they may possess XY chromosomes. If that is the case then Khelif would have an unfair advantage over other female fighters, which should not have been allowed by the Olympic Committee. They are the ones at fault for this and should have done a better job. That's on them and not Khelif. If she does have DSD (Disorders of S*xuel Development) then it's not her fault, but she should have been tested again because boxing is a dangerous sport.
Just cause this person was raised as a female dosn't mean it has to compete against one. It's not the Italian fighters fault the Algerian is what he is
I haven't got a clue, but the French Olympic Committee wouldn't allow one of their sprinters (Sounkamba Sylla) to wear a hijab because it didn't meet the French team's secular requirements. Yet the Olympics have allowed Dutch volleyball player Steven Van De Velde, a convicted r*pist to participate in the Olympics! These Olympics are completely backwards! SMH
I totally agree with your point. They wouldn't allow it. The issue is the elevated levels of testosterone, and if that is giving Khelif an advantage, then she shouldn't be allowed to fight.
Very easy way to stop this you lady's must just refuse to compete against a man simple you all do it and he has no one to compete with. They will soon get the message.
The simple answer to the title question is no. Khelif is an animate ( not a sentient, just animate) skid mark who got his jollies out of beating the ever lovin' tar out of someone weaker than himself in a place where he wouldn't get the normal consequences for that type of behavior. Ideally, he will soon be invited to dine at a lovely rooftop restaurant in Tehran.
Yes, we have more information but still a lot of question marks. Olympic Committee made a statement that Khelif is a female, but never said whether or not she had taken another chromosome test to determine whether she is XX or XY. We have seen photos of Khelif as a child and looks very much like a girl in those photos. It is speculated that Khelif may have DSD, where a person is born with both ovarian and testicular tissue. Even if person's genitals may appear female, they may possess XY chromosomes. If that is the case, which we do not know for sure, then Khelif would have an unfair advantage, which should not have been allowed by the Olympic Committee. They are the ones at fault for this and should have done a better job. I hope you're happy with the latest update. I probably should have done another video! 😃
XX is female. XY is male. Unless proven wrong, this is the present medically approved position. We could worry about DSD and its medical implications as the next step, whether militating or mitigating. Right now, the basic and ultimate question remains: are these two XYs?
He is better than his competition. By the way you made a spelling mistake in the title you have on the thumbnail for your video. You should correct it before he gets offended.
The Olympic Committee made a statement and said that Khelif was born a female and that's what on her documents, so I must respect the facts which can be found, even though Khelif failed the gender eligibility test. The bottomline is that she should not be competing against other females with elevated levels of testosterone. She is either not what she says she is, or is allegedly a drugs cheat. Point that has not been brought up on social media is the fact that Khelif is Algerian, which is a Islamic country that doesn't support changing genders, so why would they support Khelif if that was the case?

we do not have insight in the DNA test done by IBA in 23. We only have the word of their chairman who is s shady figure at least. (Actually IBA is so corrupt that even FIFA appears clean)... btw. Khelif had been boxing internationally for a couple of years by then and was not really successful until about 2022, four years after her intermational debut. In 23 Khelif made the final before being disqualified (I do not know if the test was taken after the semifinals or before the first fight of the competition... but it seems worth a remark) Best would be if IOC makes sure via DNA test for all female athletes. That would remove any doubts.... and we would not have to wait until pregnancy. One last word to all those guys who believe to be so sure about the real sex of Khelif that they demand her to be disqualified and banned from womens boxing altogether. Looking at athletic build or strong jawlines is a highly uncertain method to determine the sex of an athlete. So what exactly makes you so damn sure? Your sixth sense? Kremlews word? Something else?
We do now. She has XY xhromsones. BUT she is not a very hard punching boxer (5% KO percentage). Her opponent brought a lot of hate upon this woman. A ton of women have gone the distance with Khelif and 9 have beaten her. Khelif should be banned tho
