A couple from me which not all will agree with. First plug in the power cable to the laptop, then to the socket. Not the other way around. Unless you have a good reason and know what you are doing, don't install Geforce Experience if you have a Geforce card. You only need the drivers for the GPU to work. I know you already mentioned this, but it is so important I thought to mention it again. In your laptop's energy manager application (whatever it is called in your case), make sure to enable battery conservation mode so that after the first couple of cycles, your batter is not charged fully, if you are constantly plugged in. This will prolong the life of the battery. My Lenovo's battery from 2014 is still fine... For Mac users who switched to Windows' laptops. Unlike Mac laptops, 99.99% of the laptops out there need to be plugged in to operate at full performance. Else you will get reduced performance out of your laptop. Man...the first few seconds of this video is just perfect. Showing exactly how people (I) feel when you get a new laptop/computer, at least as long as you are not some pretentious ahole. Thanks for the video, I am sure it will help people. Also, guys get your games from GOG if you can. They have an optional client if you are sick to your brain to want a client, and their games are all DRM free. Save gaming and your sanity.
A very good video, keep it up! What's wrong with logging into Microsoft account right away and having Teams though? I can stand behind rejecting all the tracking features, but what if I have to use Teams? :D Never noticed it eating up all my ram.
It just makes sure you dont **start** with an aleays-online account :) You can always add one later, or log in to MS Teams seperately (same with every other app)
AC is fine, G-Helper is just a lot faster and easier to use :) You cant have both though. You have to uninstall armoury crate and myasus if you want to install g-helper
I’ve got a older laptop it has an i5 13420h with a Geforce Rtx 3050 16gb ddr4 with 512ssd. Sorry for all the extra information but I was needing help. So I play Fortnite on medium to high settings but when I charge and play my laptop doesn’t really charge but drains slowly. Is their anyway to help or fix that
Hi I hope you notice this comment. I have the same laptop as the one you reviewed before, the MSI Stealth 14. Now while idle, the cpu temperature under 20% load is at 60-70 degrees celsius. Is that normal? I still have 3 weeks to decide whether to return it or not. Hope you can help!
What's the room temperature? 60-70C under 20% load can be normal depending on the CPU and the overall design. How hot does it get when it gets busy? If it is only 3 weeks old and if it reaches over 90C when it gets busy (CPU temp), then I would say it's too hot. Especially if you are not in a hot room. Laptops get hotter the longer you use them, hours, days, months, years. If it is over 90C brand new, then I wouldn't agree that it is a good temp for it. Unless you have like 40C room temperature, in that case you should be fine.
@ I have the ultra 7 155. So far for heavy loads its at 95C (tried playing marvel rivals at ultra settings). Room temperature isnt that bad as well. Probably less than 30C when the AC is off
@ This laptop is actually ex-display since they ran out of the new stock. Been in display since September. So with that considered, do you think the temps are normal?
@ 95C for me is too high. It's only a matter of time before it goes a bit higher and starts thermal throttling, If it was daily used since September there is a chance it just needs some cleaning of the fans and some new paste if the paste was not applied properly at the factory. It happens. Being a display unit perhaps it has lots of dust in it too. I would open it to clean it and replace the thermal paste, especially if the laptop is clean when you open it. Be careful though in case it uses liquid metal instead of thermal paste. It needs special attention when you deal with it. If it drops after maintenance, perhaps it will be fine till you need to do this again. If the temp doesn't drop then perhaps it's a flawed design and you should look at something else with better cooling. I don't have any experience with more modern laptops, the last one I have is from 2014 (poor and all), but my experience with computers since the early 1980s tells me the above. I could be wrong.
Yes, those are normal temps for idle to light usage. The Ultra 100 chips tend to run hotter during heavy loads so 95 degrees is perfectly fine too :) Nothing out of the ordinary
A lot of laptops require seperately downloaded drivers to be able to function at all, so that's a big hassle for people that might not be very experienced with this stuff :)
dont use gfe anymore nvidia app replaces it and its better also lenovo put a mcafee trial on their laptops ( also should be removed, no seroisouly its that bad)
disagree on the letting windows update update your bios and drivers. Best case scenario you only got an old driver, wrost case it conflict with current bios and brick you laptop. It's better and safer to manually update + hide those update from windows.
Love the simple caption videos mate. They're interesting in a way that no other youtuber does.
Thank you, Crimson Tech, for saving me from that building fire!
HAHAHA hey no worries my man 😎🤙🏻
As someone who just got a new gaming laptop yesterday, I find this to be a lot helpful. Thanks a ton!

Never noticed it eating up all my ram.
Well if you know you are going to use teams then obviously you are not going to uninstall it...right?
It just makes sure you dont **start** with an aleays-online account :)

Yes, it's perfectly fine :)
@@crimsontechyt I know, but will windows home disappear or lost because it's not directly linked to the account?
Sorry that I'm completely a newbie at this thing.
@ No, Windows will not disappear or stop working.
I have enabled the battery charging limit to 60%, is it ok to always use the laptop pulgged in during browsing and less intensive tasks?
Yes :)

Are there any third party software that works to stop battery from charging pass 80%???… this is very important for me.
Thanks
No, unfortunately not. It has to be built in to the laptop :/
