It's always funny how Lia hardly ever cries, Michelle doesn't like to cry but still does, and Ellie and Viki are teary-eyed messes in almost every movie lol
Best Toy Story of the bunch. I went to college in 2010 so this hits deep. I remember giving up my toys to a friends’ little sibling since I stopped playing with them. I remember my brother and I would play make believe with them like Andy would. Good times…
Yeah, I like to compare Toy Story to Halo; The first one being new and revolutionary. The second one being made, scrapped by accident and starting all over in just a few months, and being greatest sequel of all time. The third one being amazing and perfect end to the story. And having two spin-offs that add a bit more to the story and are just as awesome. And the forth one being the perfect start for a new trilogy, but ended up being... off.
I think what was so hilariously sentimental about this francise was how much the audience grew attached to a group of literal toys. How they hold hands before dying, how they sit together to wave off their old owner, how they were brought in in groups so that they wouldn't be alone, like the aliens.
Plus all the Toys (except Woody, his Cowboy brood, and Buzz) are popular real life toys. From the first movie Toy Story has done the best job of connecting the characters to the viewers so strongly............Wreck It Ralph almost did the same thing but not quite. Only folks who had video games appreciated it. Toys are timeless.
Trivia note: The Pizza Planet Aliens were originally supposed to be pizza slices with sunglasses, but the creators of Toy Story decided to lean more towards Planet then Pizza for their mascot, which was a smart decision since the Aliens became so iconic both in the U.S. & abroad that Pixar brought the Aliens back for each of the Toy Story sequels.
Toy story 3 it was so good to have the original cast back it was a shame that the original Slinky died R.I.P. Jim Varney. The movie was so emotional so intense saying goodbye to Andy really tore me up 😪
A really moving, heart-rending "coming-of-age" movie that is so universal - the finest of the Toy Story series. And our Homies responded to it in the very best of ways!
Fun fact the actor of Andy from the two movies came back for Toy Story 3. And I have to say Lotso is one of my favorite Disney Pixar Villains in the movie because of his backstory and trying to keep the toys away from being played again. Also some familiar faces as well Michael Keaton as Ken and Whoopi Goldberg as Stretch the Octopus.
Sid (the evil kid in Toy Story 1) was also in Toy Story 3...he's grown up now...He was the garbage man that strapped Lotso to the front of his garbage truck! They even had the same actor play the role in both movies.
the ending always makes me cry because i had a moment with some of my toys where I thought to myself "wow its been so long since the last time i played with them" that I knew that eventually there would be a last time with them.
God bless all you toy-loving lovely young ladies! Never lose your sweetness and those wonderful qualities that make you all so special! Never lose your sense of wonder and your kind-hearted compassion and enchanting, endearing emotional empathy! Always remain young at heart! All my love!
When the baby doll turns on the Hugging Bear and throws him over the edge is a reference to "Return of the Jedi"when Vader throws the emperor off the platform.
The garbage guy is Sid from Toy Story 1, he even has the skull t-shirt on (either the original resown or it's just the same kind in a bigger size) and Eric von Detten voices him.

I still remember.... And honestly I still have trouble believing this is TWENTY EFFING THREE years old......when this released. It had already been 11 years since Toy Story 2....which released 2 years after Toy Story. So there I was......a grown ass man. An active duty U.S. Sailor. In a theater, with a girl, crying like a baby lol. But to be fair to myself there wasn't a dry eye in the house. This movie was so much more touching than anybody would have expected.
Minute 3:43. NOT snowboards. Many years ago toys were made with flat surfaces on their feet so they wouldn't fall down when standing them on their feet. This included soldiers, cowboys and Indians.
Toy Story 3 is the saddest movie I ever watched. Andy is growing up and going to college, Buzz and Jessie's relationship, crazy adventures and saddest moments. RIP to Don Rickles and Estelle Harris AKA Mr and Mrs. Potato Head 🥺🥺🥺🤣🤣🤣💗💗💗
This movie came out just around the time I was graduating from Highschool and I don't believe that to be a coincidence (not that Pixar timed it for my graduation) but that the makers looked back at when Toy Story was first released and did the math of a kid who saw that film when it came out or when it came out on VHS (like I did) and made it so the film would be made and released around the time when those kids would be graduating Highschool and moving on to College or the workplace. Because it would have been even more emotionally powerful
I can't with Ellie and her tears 😄 I luv her so much Toy Story franchise series made grown adults more in tuned to watch more then kids these days because it feels like when we were kids we grew with them. Great Reaction ladies ❤❤ #Homies
Toy Story 3 feels like a huge Holocaust metaphor. I love how Andy thanked his toys meaning they all gave him an amazing childhood and that he's grateful
40:08 - There is a joke short clip where right after they all close their eyes it cuts to showing a compacted cube where you can see they all got melted together, as an alternative ending. I saw it once somewhere but I could never find it again. I think it was some joke commercial they made in France. There is also a prank version of the movie that ends at this point. 46:44 - This is the true ending of Toy Story. The 4th movie doesn't count. It didn't make sense and it's just bad. Many people are so disappointed that they hope for a 5th movie to repair what the 4th did.

It’s incredible that Pixar’s golden age (1995-2010) began and ended with Toy Story. Toy Story 3 is truly the definitive ending of the franchise.
