Wow, what a great place - not a single graffiti on walls, streets seem so clean, not a single garbage, also not overcrwoded, no traffic jams. Salt Lake City looks great city, would definitely live here without a hesitation.
I am from Germany and want to move to SLC 🥰 could not think about a better place. The combination of nature and city is perfect. I am not into nightlife that's a great plus for me too. This place has everything I need ❤️ I think a suburb is even better for me 🙏
The pioneer stone statue in the frame of the video at 15:08 holds fond memories for me, as I spent the night on that stone bench during a hitchhiking trip through northern Utah in the summer of 1976. Thanks for the great video.
I actually saw it a couple times even after I had said that. They are polite but I think they are just so used to not having much foot traffic that they just kind of drive without even thinking about it.
If those wide sidewalks were in Seattle or Portland, they would be full of camping tents and trash. I’m glad to see a cleaned downtown area that’s inviting to visit. Looking to move from Seattle to Ogden very soon. I like what I see there.
@Tommy It’s heartening to hear you speak highly of Logan, my hometown. I hope you get to come back someday. And I hope to visit beautiful Sweden as well. 🍻
Wow I love all the great history and the background material. Makes for a great vicarious vacation. Thanks for showing the maps and plaques. I usually freeze the frame and stop to read them.
What a great video! Your videos have inspired me to start my own walking channel here in Bangkok. If you have any pointers on my videos I would love to hear it! Thanks!
Downtown salt lake is actually a fantastic place to live. Low crime, hardly anyone on the streets, and traffic is almost nonexistent sometimes. But they have a great selection of breweries and restaurants within walking distance so no need to call a cab or even a scooter.
Raleigh is a good start. SLC is boring really. But… it’s a nice place to live if nightlife and entertainment don’t mean much to you and you like skiing and nature.
The "yielding at a red light before making a turn and 'Oop there's a person" is 100% perfect. I must say that I've never seen the city that empty. I might not mind going downtown if it was always like that.
Salt Lake City does have a similar enviornment to what you would see in Arizona although it is much closer to alpine climate since SLC is at a higher elevation that Phoenix.
yeah i almost got hit by a lady for not paying attention (she wasnt paying attention) but she did apoligise so yeah most people dont care about padestrians. be safe.
where are all the shops u walked only around the city and capitol where are the ski fields and resturants and shoe shops and clothe shops and how religious is this place any lutherans and christians and catholics their or maybe a god version maybe someone who has all religions under his belt i have i have all three religions under my belt kind of is it against the law to be an outsider in utah or alien or international tourist.

🍎👍 Interesting that you had
those experiences with the traffic. When I was there, everyone was so polite and stopped for me. Great tour and info. -H

I'm so sorry that poverty and the disenfranchised are so inconvenient for you. We should install communist values in round them up
@@eliscore imagine thinking communism creates wealth, can only be backpacking Americans who live an ocean apart from actual communists
Just go to the side streets you will see the same thing. Just not as much. Homelessness is a national problem.
Ogden is the ghetto along the Wasatch front, just fyi
wow its so empty due to covid, it's a definite stop over city and filled with awesome nice people
Just finished your Salt Lake & Park City videos & was surprised to hear you too are from Gilbert!

Está hermosas ciudad y Con Mariachis para celebrar cumpleaños 😍
Thanks for this video. I'm preparing to move to Salt Lake City at the end of June.

Wich cam you use? And any filter?
Just a regular go pro 8
I'm moving to the US soon, and I'm contemplating whether to move to Salt Lake City or to Raleigh, NC. I wonder which city you liked the most!

Right now, this city is the opposite of crowded. I feel homesick! Nice though.
It's amazing here minus all the construction that's going on
Beautiful ghost twon.
I love SLC
How come you didn't make a video of your home city of Phoenix?

To be honest I do prefer states like Utah, Idaho, Montana with beautiful landscape than crowdy east and west coast.
No entiendo que pasó porque no hay gente

EL CAMINO ES A UTAH,,,,
I'd say only about 40% of salt lakers are LDS but that number gets bigger in rural areas.
I saw like three people! lol is it always so boring? I am going in May 2024! I will stay east....

i can't believe how empty this place is (I live in the DC/Baltimore area)
