Happy you found them and very happy that these guys are getting recognition outside of Japan. My grand daughter introduced me to their first album when she returned from her tour of duty in Japan back in the 90s. My great grand daughters call them 'Band Maid's grand pas' these days.
One of my favorite bands...inspired me to write again...I wish nothing but the brightest future for them...they deserve a following and all that comes with it.
These guys really rock! This is accentuated by the contrast of the very western performance style with the traditional dress, the Kabuki face makeup, and the almost stereotypical round glasses. The deep sadness of the lyrics and the plea for help from Lord Buddha are amplified by the powerful interleaved vocalizations. “Shine a light on my life. Shine a light on my future. Shine a light on every creature. Shine a light on tomorrow for all.” 💙
This song, their worldwide breakout hit after over over thirty years of performing, was ironically a song complaining about how they never had a breakout hit in over thirty years of performing.
I like these guys. Has a Sabbathish sound to it that got me listening to them. I know hardly any Japanese but if the musics this good that doesn't matter. BandMaid are the same. As are Rammstein even though i know as much German as I do Japanese! Lovebites are another great Japanese band and they sing in English like Vow Wow did in the 80s and 90s.
Reach back long before you were born, way back to 1973. A group called Focus and a song called HOCUS POCUS!! Review it if YOU DARE🫣 KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK❣️ You aerie Awesome🌹🌹❣️
What this band been listening to them for quite a while now. They actually started in the late eighties. Should check out some of the early videos from the late 80s early 90s
