    I thought the person had honking geese boots at the start of the video... perfectly in step!🤣🤣

      Haha, I'll have to go back and watch, I never noticed Kristy's goose boots!

      I also binge watched when I first came across Rachel's channel and learned so much. I still look forward to the weekly video wondering what she's been up to. 😊

    YoWzA… Rachel… I found this video to be really cool. Such amazing sights and sounds. The birdsong, the tall reedy grass, the funky streets, the cool buildings and of course… that spectacular beach and those frothy waves… certainly this is a macro-adventure!! I’m always impressed with your Bushbox and your cooking ability with chopsticks. Thanks for taking us along on your fun and adventurous morning. I loved seeing and hearing the sights. This seems like it was a really fun little experiential course to do. 🌎💦Ⓜ️ary🌊

      It was a brilliant morning, and a great way to start a bank holiday Monday. Felt like I had a huge adventure day, but it only took to 11am!

    Hi Rachel, great to see you having fun with your friend, with lots of smiles and laughter. I swam in the River Dart near Staverton Station on Bank Holiday Monday and saw my first Kingfisher!

    Fantastic video Rach, just loved it all, but especially the ponies in the forest. I’m hoping to be that sea in two weeks time but probably in a wetsuit, I’ve not quite made it into skins just yet. Thanks for sharing another inspirational adventure. 😀

    Rachel, your videos are such a delight! I’ve been working my way through your swimming content and have picked up some very helpful tips for my cold lake swims. Thank you for sharing your experiences with us!

    Ha ha! I did hear geese and a pheasant for definite. Mostly woodland birds is what I heard. Birding is a different world. I like going with those who know. Phrases like "what have you got?" are common.

    • @EverydayAthleteRach
      @EverydayAthleteRach  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There were certaily some breathless phrases like that. It was really good to hear about where the birds we were seeing were in their migration route and how far they'd come. It was a beautiful and fascinating place.

    What a great video! So nice to see you having a fun time with a friend. Loved the donkeys! I’m heading out for a solo swim shortly, all my swim buddies are busy today, after watching this I’ll miss them.

    • @EverydayAthleteRach

      Hope the solo swim was fun. At least on your own you can spot more noise-sensitive wildlife. I’m sure your swim buddies will be peeved they missed out!

    ooo definietly my kind of adventure, love the early morning atmosphere. I feel like I am neglecting the countryside there must be so many things to see

    • @EverydayAthleteRach
      @EverydayAthleteRach  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can find a bit of countryside almost anywhere. Perhaps there is some close to hand that you haven't paid attention to? I'd recommend a dawn chorus walk with an expert, it was fascinating. The telescope the guide brought made me see why people get into it in such a big way, the detail you could see was amazing.

    Another great video Rachel. Eggy bread is called French toast in Australia, don't know why, but I love your set up of a quick camp brekky on the beach after a swim. I'm gonna try that!

    Hi there Rachel. Just had to say, just been into Primark ( sorry, I know) and found a seemingly brilliant £45 swim robe. I’ve been looking all winter on EBay but just couldn’t afford it. This one is black, fleeced lined and waterproof. May be of interest to your subscribers.

    • @EverydayAthleteRach
      @EverydayAthleteRach  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Good bargain hunting there Susan. I hope you're enjoying changing and snuggling in it. I have seen this robe mentioned in quite a few outdoor swimming FB groups so I'm pleased you managed to get your hands on one! 🏊😀

    I don't know how I've missed this video!! I've just watched it whilst having my lunch. I love the idea of eggy bread with your bacon. It's a much better than dry bread in a conventional sandwich! I'm craving the sea now! Looking forward to going to our cottage in Pembrokeshire in a couple of weeks and get a salty fix! Although I have to say I'm lucky to have a deep clear basalt quarry to swim in at home. But there's nothing quite like the sea is there?

    • @EverydayAthleteRach
      @EverydayAthleteRach  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Oooh! A cottage in Pembrokeshire must be a real treat, such a stunning coastline and so much widlife to enjoy watching. A clear quarry sounds good - where in the country do you swim?

    Hi Rach any idea what the water temp was in c ? Just started doing some morning dips here in melbourne and it was 15c this morning - felt like my limit without a wetty.

    • @visualjon
      @visualjon 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      All good I just watched another one of yours where you mentioned you don't post temps ;)

    • @EverydayAthleteRach
      @EverydayAthleteRach  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Joghn as you mention below I don't tend to mention temp, and certainly not in association with time in the water. Having said that on that occasion, it was about 11ºC, so it is warming up 🏊😀
