    Does the bumper attach to the valence at all? Is it really just held on with three screws? Does the bumper tie into the fenders too?

      The front bumper slides into then lock into the side brackets which connect the fenders to the front valence 👍

    • @garagistic
      @garagistic  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The side skirts are not a direct bolt-on for convertibles due to the different rocker panels that convertibles have vs 2 door and 4 door E30s. For the front and rear bumpers, you must have late model front/rear bumper supports installed which our Mtech 2 bumpers fit over 👍

    • @garagistic
      @garagistic  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Installation should be the same process but you would need to source late model bumper shocks + late model bumper crash bars. There may be a way to mount the bumper without those but it may require some custom mounting to make it work 👍

    what would i need if i have an early model e30 with the diving boards and want to get an mtech 2 kit on ?

    • @garagistic
      @garagistic  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      In order to install the MTech 2 kit on an early model, you would essentially need to do a front/rear late model plastic bumper conversion. To make the process as straight forward as possible, you would need a set of front/rear late model bumper shocks, crash bars, and front valence. The rear side door pods on the MTech 2 kit would also need to be slightly trimmed/modified in order to match the different wheel arch that early models have compared to late model E30's. We have had customers install the MTech 2 kit on their early models and it is definitely doable!

    • @garagistic

      This is being done on a late model although the installation process will be very similar to an early model as long as you have the late model front crash bar, late model front bumper shocks, and late model bumper brackets.

    the 1st step is wrong. It should be:
    Step 1 ATTEMPT to remove t55 torx bolts
    *snap 2 t55 torx bits
    *attempt to use a torch to heat bolts
    *catch bumper carrier on fire
    *snap 2 more torx bits
    *have a beer
    *go to home depot cuz all real auto parts stores close at 530
    *get pissed because they dont have the right size
    * have another beer
    *cry
    * wait for auto part store to open in am
    *get pissed again because they dont sell the size
    * load dynamite into engine bay
    *push plunger
    *buy real Mtech 2 car
