Powerbass is reasonably priced cr@p! The UK doesn't have any good car audio brands … apart from Genesis Amps ... they're the TRUTH ... the rest is total and utter garbage! Vibe, Powerbass, Edge, Inphase, DB Audio are all a total joke!
Actually, I did own a pair of DB Audio speakers, and they took power like nothing else, DD, Alpine, Morel, Hybrid, JL, Ground Zero, Focal I blew them all, but those DB's took the power, like a champ ... but they sounded like cr@p ... so ...

For convertible E 30 better to put under the seat sub because the boot is isolated
Noticed that the first sound check the top was down, after the install top was up. This will improve the sound alone. Very nice boot build though

OMG I bought all my stuff from CAS in 2008 (!!) for my mk2 Golf build. I remember showing up there and spending a few ks on 1.4kW JBL GTO amp,.2 1kW pioneer subs, Kenwood headunit,. Infinity midbass, huge caps, etc... those were the days. 😊..then I spent months on fiberglassing, cabling etc... and ofc dynamat... those days the audio was worth 2x as the car (mk2 16V GTI), now its different I assume..
Love the boot build. The Powerbass kit is very well priced from car audio security!!!

i have do one suggestion maybe you could do a series on other own builds such as their classic cars maybe? or something incorporated with tuning store or CAS Tv like as a blog and Video format would be quite appealing to your channel.

I’ve got one of these in Sebring Grey on a 1991. Manual with 91k, mint. Proper 798 option code for motorsport as well.
I also have an E38 740i AC Schnitzer S7 which id love to you see you guys restore. It’s up for sale. Would look great on this show.

Curious to see your sound upgrade on the E31 since I own one by myself. I was thinking about doorboards from Jehnert. But that is maybe not the best solution for an OEM car from the first month of Produktion.
great video. I have a 1991 bmw 325I cannot find the inside fusebox. There is no tabs in the glove box. Radio turns on but no sound.
Great content! The magnet size doesn’t really signify how good the speaker is. Neodymium magnets are much smaller but as powerful.

Well, above avarage sound system. But there are preety easy ways to install the oem bmw headunit from e30 or e36 with bluetooth and i just installed rca aux port as well in mine that runs the hidden amp. Thumb up for video, thumb down for the headunit. Imagine that sound in bmw oldschool headunit!!! I cant stand the jvc kenwood pioneer flashy silver made in china headunits right in the middle of the consol of this amazing german classic from the 80s.
A smile appeared on your mention of the plate rattle. Only a matter of concern if you're OUTSIDE the car.
All E30 owners know about boot rattle with that excessive BASS 🔊🔊

Im a little late here hope you see this. Im going to upgrade my car audio aswell. Does the boot subs not need a hole in the seats so the bass can come in to the rest of the car?

How much does this install cost? Considering the same for my e30
Can anyone help? I am thinking of purchasing the aftermarket Eonon Q04PRO stereo system. I want to do a big bass custom audio upgraded system in my R34 Nissan Skyline Sedan. I dont want my fenders rattling, but I am willing to go as high as I can with power right before the rattle would even occur. Any advise?!
The Eonon unit says there is a built in DSP, so this is good? But can't find any further specs for it. Also the following:
- Max Amp Output 4x48W
- A 48-band graphic equalizer
- Power Bandwidth: 20-18KHZ
- RMS power (CTA-2006): 18W
- RMS power (manufacturer): 24W
- Peak Output: 33W
- Preamp Outputs: 5- Channel

rear speaker situation is the worst,
you're mounting them on flimsy door piece that rattles like crazy, and the baffle is not separated, the area in front of speaker should be isolated from its back otherwise you lose all the low end frequencies.
these shops dont care about that, get the job done as quickly as possible

FYI - we would not sell or install crap audio into any of our or customer's cars 😉
Why you fitted cheap kit is beyond me and putting subs in an e30 convertible boot is also as much use as an ash tray on a motor cycle.I get it will sound better than stock but the car deserves better equipment than power bass.

@@SalsHQ look there are many variables in planing and choosing parts for a system, main one being budget, and second the type of car and use case; usually in a sports car people just want to have a basic system because they're main focus is to build a fast car and enjoy revving it. Sometimes it's the other way around and having a quality system and listening music is the mail goal but when I saw the effort they put in this car's system, it looked like they cared about audio but execution was poor and parts as well.
