Unfortunately, back when I made these the only way I could share a template was if you worked at my school district. So if you happen to work for Orange County Public Schools in Florida then, yes there’s a template in the district library on Canvas.
BRITTANY GORE Yay! I’m so glad it helped you. I know I was super confused about modules when I first started using Canvas. I feel like if someone would have just told me they were my units I would have gotten it much faster! Lol
@@LearningwithMrsLambert Yes! lol I teach two subjects this year so I was not sure how to set it up but I love how easy your video was to follow. Hope you have a great year. Thank you for taking the time to make this!
Hi Heather, I have seen many videos on how to make modules. When looking at your module for Summer School, what does that look like on the student side? Do they click a button to go to the entire week of lessons, or can you send them to just Monday's lesson on Monday and Tuesday's lesson on Tuesday. (but still allowing them to access Monday's lesson if they were absent) We are new to Canvas, I teach 1st grade, and trying to figure out how best to get the students and parents, to their assignments on a daily basis.
Hi Lori! So I had a button on my homepage that took them to the whole week, but I only published day-by-day. So on Monday, they would only see Monday's work. On Tuesday, they could see Monday's and Tuesday's, and so on. That way they didn't have access to or see what was coming up in the week. In the event they were absent one day, they would have access to that day as well. I hope that helps. Let me know if you have any other questions.
@@LearningwithMrsLambert Thank you. Do you feel that is the easiest way to organize your lessons for little guys? I think that sounds easier than doing it by subject modules.
@@LearningwithMrsLambert This "new normal" is very overwhelming. I do not have a "to do" list on the right, and I think our district has things tied up a bit with regards to maneuvering around until we get training from them. I don't know. What I see on your visual is different from what I see on mine. :-(
carmen foster I promise Canvas get easier! It was very overwhelming for me at first too, but now I love it! Also, I don’t even pay attention to the to-do list. 🤣
Is there a way you can share a template with me the way you set yours up by units/chapters for math?

How do i delete multiple modules at once?
Went too fast but I was able to go back, stop and play again. I just needed to see where you were clicking.
Thank you for posting this. It was very helpful. Took away a lot of stress!

BRITTANY GORE Have a great year as well! 💘
I really enjoy how you start each module with the date. Makes it super easy for the students in elementary to know exactly what to do each day!

Lori Witman I do feel like it’s easiest for the little ones. It is a lot more work for you though. :/
You are so pretty! Thank you so much for this info. :-)
