I have watched umpteen videos trying to learn to use Canvas. This is the first one that was easy to follow and did not include un explained steps to be used. Thank you!
Thank you so much. This is so helpful for those of us who have a few years left that could have gone the rest of our career without knowing any this. You are awesome 👍.
Thank you I was able to follow your instructions and design my canvas page. Do you have a video that helps with how to add buttons and ass links to the buttons?
Thank you soooo much for this step by step process!!!!! So very helpful! I have two sections ( beginner and advanced) basically with the same content. Is there a way to migrate all of this decorative work to the other section without starting over?
Haley Shurack I checked with our IT people today, and they were pretty sure that you need to do it manually. The course content is generally the same, but in power school, it is listed as two different sections. (Beginner and advanced). I was just trying to copy the bells and whistles I put on the home page to the other one. Anyway, it is done and I’m looking forward to more of your video tutorials. You really should publish professionally 😊
I can do everything up to marker 2:00 in this video. But, for some reason, my home page does NOT show the list on the right (e.g., Links, Files, Images tabs) or anything under those.
I believe during the last update, the interface was changed a little bit. When you're editing the home page, if you select "insert" and then "link" then "course links", you should be able to add those elements. I hope this helps. Sorry the video is a bit outdated!
Yes, you can add the image the way I added images in the video. Or, if the image has links, you can embed the image by clicking on the "insert/edit image" and then select "embed".
Thank you for your video. Can you tell me this: once that week is over, do you manually link the start button to the following week? And when you do that do students lose access to the work that was assigned the week before?
This was very helpful! Is there a way to move an uploaded picture around? Also when I went to upload my photo onto the homepage only the file name showed up. Do you know what happened? Does the pic need to be on my desktop to work?
The only way to move it around is by using the spacing button (left side, middle, right side). And, you can try putting the picture on your desktop and then uploading it. Make sure it's a format that can be uploaded (JPEG, PNG). Hope this helps!
Hmmm that's odd. Are you using the free version of Canvas or does your district have a paid version? Can you try dragging your screen to make it bigger?
@@haleyshurack559 thank you for responding. I'm using Canvas through my school. I also have the new RCE. There's still nothing there except the RCE when I make the screen larger.
@@haleyshurack559 thank you for the video! The video showed that I can pull up files and other content from modules by clicking the chain in the RCE. Thanks a million!
Yes, you will need to copy the embedded link from google slides, and embed the link into Canvas. See this video: th-cam.com/video/6GgGe0BWFB4/w-d-xo.html
Thank you. We have spent two in-service weeks, and no canvas' experts has explained this better than you did. GRacias.
Thank you!

It sounds like you want to transfer content to one class from another, right?

You can manually link it to the following week. The old week page should save itself in "pages". Hope this helps!
I am lost. I do not see a course tab I see module tab
Great video. Well done!!!
Thanks!
How do I get the 3 subfolders on the right: Links, File, Images on my Pages? I can only see the HTML editor on the left side. Thank you for your help.

I don't, sorry!
Thank you very much
how did you create the weeks within the modules? or did i miss that part? I saw where you copied the weeks into the box to make it a link.
See this video for how to set up Modules: th-cam.com/video/Re3OR8GFVCI/w-d-xo.html
Thank you so much!
Where did you get your welcome picture from?
Flikr
I don't have the bar on the right side of your page (files, images, etc.)

"No smoking sign" 😂 it's just a regular "no" sign
your camera work is too shaky. It makes it hard to watch for me.
Sorry- thank you for the honest feedback!
