You must be an excellent teacher! I have been so frustrated with Canvas because all the training I have attempted so far has shown me all the little details first until my head was swimming. I had no idea how to set things up. Now that I have watched this, I feel like I can actually start doing something meaningful with Canvas. Thank you!

This is the best Canvas tutorial I have seen. I just attended a one hour Intro. to Canvas training provided by my district and left feeling completely overwhelmed and confused. This tutorial took 1/4 the time and is direct and easy to follow.

I completely agree. I just sat through a 4-Hour training through our Learning Center on campus and I left in tears. I am not a stupid person. I watched this and boom! I've got got a Canvas site. Great work, thank you CELT!

Well-ordered AND...something other presenters seem unaware of...a voice that is easy to listen to and a pretty direct delivery.

Take it one day at a time! It takes time to be able to transition into Canvas and teaching online but the best part is that you can continue to add more content as you see what works for the way you teach.

Finally, videos that more "mature" people can understand. The training we were made to watch featured young people using some kind of weird robotic voice (over pronouncing words, but at random times) I learned zero from it. Now I think I can do this! As a "mature" teacher.

A crystal clear tutorial. After all that's what the art of teaching is all about : presenting and explaining the right information in the right order in a memorable way.
    Many thanks.

Comments really reflect the priorities of teachers vs administrators and IT designers. Absent the interaction between student and teacher and the assumption by both admin and our corporate culture that anyone can facilitate learning, LMS detracts too much from what we know as truly effective teaching. What about learning styles? What about on-demand conversation? Insight in a vacuum may be lost, if not reinforced. My kids are K12 and High School students just encountering Canvas in particular and LMS in general for the first time and are finding it absolutely overwhelming. I'm just a dad with an advanced degree and I miss the good old days. They feel abandoned, confused, and more than a bit overwhelmed. And I absolutely empathize with them. My 12-year-old has 5 different teachers, now, instead of one. Class sizes are 30-per and because it's online, that's supposed to be okay. Having watched this video, which was clearly informative, I can now say I empathize as much for their teachers. God bless you all for the work you do and I wish you all the greatest success. We need you. We appreciate you. And to the extent that I can be, I'm with you!

Thank you so very much for this video!! I kept trying to figure out when we would need a page versus an assignment and what was the difference between the two. I never really understood what a module was. This is so crystal clear and it makes so much sense!! Thank you for sharing that the module is like a folder and the pages and assignments are like the items you place inside the folder. Also thanks for sharing that the image section is like your locker; a place to store the items. After weeks and weeks of reviewing videos, this is finally the gold that I needed!!❤🎁💯
