In Case you make a review, do you know the Magic Carpet from Syrp (Manfrotto) ? Pricing is similar. A comparison would be amazing. It doesn't have the AI and all the other fancy features but it's at he same target market and might be interesting. The interview was very wholesome btw🙏 I was thinking. Do you know the Kessler Cineshooter? It's a different pricerange, but a worthy competitor imo. A comparison between the 3 would be soooo dope. Syrp Magic Carpet with the Genie 2, Axibo PT4 and Kessler Cineshooter. Probably the best option right know and all a bit different, but excellent, which makes a comparison interesting (:
@@The_Daliban I was really interested in the Syrp but after doing some research, they are essentially not a business now. They were bought by Manfrotto a few years ago and the "Syrp" brand is moving to the Manfrotto Move line or something like that. It's a real shame because I like the functionality of the system and the fact that you can use some of the components for a cable cam is awesome.
@geraldundone can we have info on this product? Is the company still alive? Website and social media are not updated. I’m worried on buying this slider.. hope in a response. Regards.
I never used a slider / motion control hardware before but I have to say, this one definitely seems like the one I would buy! The versatility, simplicity and serviceability seems absolutely amazing!
These guys are what every tech company should be like. Clearly passionate about capability but also user experience. The way each interface reveals more parameters (playstation basic motion control, phone app for more detailed settings and the web UI for full granular tweakabilitity) shows off a rare design vision. I honestly thought this system would be in the tens of thousands. There doesn't seem to be any artificial feature locking either, just "we were able to implement this cleanly, so we did" With the modularity and use of RJ45, i could see them selling the motors individually so people could rig up their own custom mo-co jib cranes. I hope these guys do well and shake up the slider/gimbal industry with a new level of competent engineering and design
This is an amazing piece of kit! The fact that you can speedramp the motion is awesome. Way over my budget, but I think it has a fair price for what it can do
Yeah, I got really excited seeing all of this and then realized it’s 8x the cost of the last pan-only slider I purchased. And let me say, I hate using that piece of junk I bought. The interface was so bad on it and it has no safety stops, so if you forget to set an end point it will just grind out the motor.
@@AmericanAvenue The Kessler Cineshooter can do a lot more but costs 8k so i guess the thing is nice. There seem to be some bugs, from what other reviewers say, but they are constantly working on it. Really cool team and company
Nodal point is the term you are looking for. The adjustments of the pan/tilt make so you can center the nodal pount of the lens so it stays in the same location regardless of the pan or tilt angle.
I have the PT4 system here in the UK. Excellent system. I had the unusual requirement of needing to control the iris on a camera 2km away from video control. I rigged the PT4 controller adjacent the lens, attached their zoom motor to it and controlled the lens 2km from my laptop using the venue's ethernet. Amazing.
I was super excited when Anoop mentioned to me that he got to meet up with you! So glad to see you showing this new company who are passionate about what they do and also deliver on it. I bought my Rhino not long after watching your take on it, and Axibo has taken my work to another level. Awesome stuff Gerald!
Finally a good alternative for edelkrone. Especially tracking with computer vision. That’s way better than conventional one-point laser tracking. But one thing I want to see is high quality automated focusing. I know you are working on with lidar addon, which is similar with that I’m already using with RS3 Pro gimbal from DJI, but that lidar’s weakness is not suitable for all ranges of focal length. In my case, that lidar module has a 30mm (35mm format sensor equivalent) camera, same fov lidar and it couldn’t recognize object in wider area than 30mm while I was using much more wider lenses like 24mm or even 16mm. Also it couldn’t precisely pull focus for tiny or distance object, while I was using 85mm or 135mm to shot. Hope you guys will solve the problem unlike DJI. Anyway nice job!
I'm typing this at 12:29 - YES! we use our long slider in the studio. It's 8 feet long and I can easily make it 12 feet, but that's overkill. We have used our C500 mark 2 on it with the extension unity on the back. However, my complain about our system is there are wires all over the place. It takes awhile to setup. It cannot support the weight of our camera with the extension unit and the unit on the back that transmits the data to our control room. We need something that can support this. Let's talk
This is what when an engineer gets everyone's wish lists and just says "yeah we can do that" to everything, and then does it. I wish I could justify the cost as a hobbiest but this is definitely not hobby grade stuff, so I get it.
Omg, I love these guys. I love my Edelkrone, but this blows it out of the water for many reasons... just having a more powerful motor alone, but keyframes with curves? Yes please. Interesting to see the PS4 remote, like EMotimo uses.
I've been a follower of Gerald for a long time now... THIS WAS THE BEST VIDEO HE'S EVER MADE!!! I'm so buying this! I wish the team at AXIBO the best. "INFINITE" lol
He didn't even talk about the fact that it can, built in, do virtual production tracking. :D Josh Yeo did a whole setup for virtual production with this on the PT3 version.
@@geraldundone sorry, that wasn’t intended as a criticism! It’s basically a “win more” feature on an already ridiculously tricked out rig. There are probably half a dozen features you couldn’t get into this first look. :D
