Running the Osram Night breaker 150% and they have been great although had one go after 2.5 years. The headlight release works great, got them on mine.
Look into H7 Philips pro9100 Ultrinon LED bulbs in dip beam as those bulbs produce exact same beam pattern as the halogen bulb. They are so expensive but it’s worth it! Now, I don’t know if still be an MOT fail even if it leaves a focused cutoff line and adjusted properly…. I run Novsight LEDs in projector dip which leaves a very sharp defined cutoff line including main beam and they are really good make! It also pass the MOT each time and never had any trouble being pulled over!😊 Another great video Beav!
Thanks David. I’ll look into the ultrinons and hopefully add them into the pile for my LED video(s). May be an option for projector lights where the MoT tester can’t see the bulb. The rules state if a halogen has been converted to LED it is a fail. Bit ambiguous though as the test is done on beam pattern and main beam rules just say they need to be white or yellow, pointing forward and extinguish when dipped. Nothing about brightness or beam pattern. This is why it only really applies to dipped, although it doesn’t specifically state that.
The Philips Diamond Vision bulbs you start with, are they 5000k or less as I was just about to purchase a set but have read the 5000k arent road legal. Thanks.
They are 5k and 200% brighter. Very similar to Osram night breaker, Halfords, Ring etc. The box says off road only but they are fine. Mine passed many MoTs with them fitted.
Unfortunately this is one of the downsides of brighter bulbs. They don’t seem to last as long. My Philips bulbs tended to only last around 12-18 months. It will be interesting to see how long these last.
hi mate,I'm wanting to do the pipes from the air filter box same or similar to yours,I've been told on the later models they to a straight pipe like yours and did away with the organ type pipe that's on the early models,I've seen the shopping list you've put on but to be honest i have no clue what i need for just that straight part,is there any why possible you could send or put up the links as to what I'd need please,or even the original later straight part that landRover started to use. thank you kindly
Best to post this comment under my air intake upgrade video rather than reply to a bulb comment. All the parts are listed in the video description. The later straight pipe cannot replace the one with pans-pipes as the end is oval not round on facelift models.
Brighter bulbs do run hotter than standard halogen bulbs and they have shorter lifespan unfortunately😕 I’m running LEDs in projector dip where you cannot see the bulb do run for so long. I drive with them on all the time so I don’t have to keep changing the bulb every time it’s blown
I don’t agree with fitting ultra bright standard headlights, it’s ok for full beam but for normal dipped beam it’s unnecessary and potentially blinds other drivers.

Im having these fitted on my Picanto. Dark roads the current ones are like candles.

Bulbs with a blue coating will show a more white light but won't be as bright as an untinted bulb.
Not true

My headlight often burnout, I don't know why, they last a maximum of 6 or 7 months

Probably best if you don’t watch my headlight upgrade video 😂
Don’t watch it if you don’t like it, simple as!😂
