Yea, I only play with one of my boys from time to time. But he only plays crucible and doesn’t have the season pass or anything. So I play the rest of the game by myself. How the heck am I supposed to do a knight fall? That’s why I wish they would have the option of matchmaking. But of course, fuck me

I just completed it solo and it took about 15 hours of grinding...wasnt too bad. Invader kill is probably the trickiest but I found using a rocket launcher with homing perk the best way.
@@aspyr5681 do a nightfall on heroic difficulty, it has matching making so that will help, unless the people you matchmake with are complete knuckleheads. Make sure to have an smg with overload rounds, the overload champions suck ass to beat.

Me and a one other friend just got into the game because it was on sale and almost half of the "unique" quests damn near require multiple people to be easier to complete or just plain do. Why can't they be more lenient with solo players or duo Bros like in D1, It was significantly easier to complete group quests on there with as little as 1 or 2 people.

High plains chest is on cliff ledge, as you come out of the door way from the four horn gulch to the top surface, stick to the left cliff side, it’s close by one of the anchored rocks.
For the record, I just finished this quest and in particular the gambit portion is outright WRONG. Read the step carefully.... You do NOT need a hand cannon equipped as I found out first hand and after visiting the Bungie help forums over this. They word this particularly badly. What you actually NEED to do is get a "Not On My Watch" medal in gambit. They describe the acts correctly but they leave out the most important part. You're under that timer for the medal. If you don't get it within the timer for the medal it will not count. I did it with the Seraph AR and SMG equipped and got it by accident when I nailed the invader with Two-Tailed Fox when they spawned in in front of me. Again, getting the medal is the actual goal of that leg of the quest and not just the parameters of what they list. If you get an evasive invader that you manage to kill after the timer length for the medal, it will not count regardless of what you have equipped.
I got the Nessus mists one. It’s hidden in the big open room. Jump over the ravine to the other side. Go right and look down a ledge. It’s in a small room with a scannable object

If you're on the part where you have to use the rose and complete activities, doing anything that gives you a powerful reward should give you points as well. I could be wrong but that's just a hunch I have.

You don't play as the hero in Destiny, you realize this after Cayde's death. Listen to what your ghost has to say during story missions, he is the only voice of reason in this world. So to answer your question, yes at least for the guardian you play as.
i used the riskrunner for the defend the light quest and did an escalation protocol and let the running hive hit me to activate the perk for riskrunner and repeated that till it was complete and it only took two or three solo escalations

Dude, all these steps are doable as a solo player. I been a solo player since year 1 in D1. It's gonna be a grind but it's doable. Remember, use the companion app to get Nightfall teammates. Everything else is soloable.
I fucking HATE LFG!! Seriously why do i have to use a fucking Dating App to find people to play with?! Solo means i go into the game and play and don't have to leave the game to do my own match making... Raids i totally get no match making but seriously zero reason everything else doesnt have match making. Everyone brags about Destiny's "Community" is the greatest until someone mentions "Solo" play then all of the sudden its like a pack of wild dogs attacking an innocent bunny, and once Match making is thrown around "Griefers" is brought up basically saying the community isn't as spectacular as you all make it out to be.

For orb generation go to the last wish raid and skip to the second stage. Got the 250 in 10 minutes. Also defend the light, same place. Second stage of last wish. Run riskrunner or any weapon that reloads on kills.
Enough with these effing handcannons....damn! and all the hand holding team shooting quests. This really sucks royally. I am not getting this trash. Bring in some pulse/AR type of guns...Holy cow....I enjoyed getting Sleeper/Polaris Lance type of quests. More of PVP bs...
If you pick up Werner bounties before you start the orb generation first step you get progress every time you pick up an orb towards the lumina step and one orb counts as two for the progress.
Escalation Protocol was good for Face the Horde and Defend the light. A two for one. because you get sword after you destroy the crystals which I found excellent for “Defend the light”
Using sentinel bottom or middle tree with harmony you can keep throwing shields and it will last as long as it would if you popped it and started standing around

Hey pro tip. I used tier 2 reckoning for orb generation. My whole squad was done before the bridge was crossed.

If you are soloing the orbs I recommend gambit it only took 2 1/2 games with a master worked bow
If you have a fully upgraded catalyst for huckleberry it is super easy you can generate orbs on multi kills

just a heads up you dont need allies for orbs. use huckleberry with catalyst and do escalation for fast orb collect
I had izanagi's burden, Outlast and 21% delirium on in gambit and pegged one invader with a ×4 honed edge shot and completed that portion so...

I fucking HATE LFG!! Seriously why do i have to use a fucking Dating App to find people to play with?! Solo means i go into the game and play and don't have to leave the game to do my own match making... Raids i totally get no match making but seriously zero reason everything else doesnt have match making. Everyone brags about Destiny's "Community" is the greatest until someone mentions "Solo" play then all of the sudden its like a pack of wild dogs attacking an innocent bunny, and once Match making is thrown around "Griefers" is brought up basically saying the community isn't as spectacular as you all make it out to be.
Gambit worked awesome to generate orbs for me. Got it done in the three weekly matches.
Btw the 250 orbs u can do by yourself at the blind well tier 1, don't need a team, this dude's guides are overly long and misinforming

For orb generation go to the last wish raid and skip to the second stage. Got the 250 in 10 minutes.
Also defend the light, same place. Second stage of last wish. Run riskrunner or any weapon that reloads on kills.
Enough with these effing handcannons....damn! and all the hand holding team shooting quests. This really sucks royally. I am not getting this trash. Bring in some pulse/AR type of guns...Holy cow....I enjoyed getting Sleeper/Polaris Lance type of quests. More of PVP bs...
For the 250 orbs I did the altars of sorrow and I got them all in one run (all 6 tiers)

If you pick up Werner bounties before you start the orb generation first step you get progress every time you pick up an orb towards the lumina step and one orb counts as two for the progress.
Do I need annual pass to get Lumina ?
Escalation Protocol was good for Face the Horde and Defend the light. A two for one. because you get sword after you destroy the crystals which I found excellent for “Defend the light”

Using sentinel bottom or middle tree with harmony you can keep throwing shields and it will last as long as it would if you popped it and started standing around

The orbs and multikill part any masterworked gun in the shadow thrall room in whisper easy peasy
I thought I would never get the lumina as I didn't want to get rid of the Rose so that's a huge relief that I can just pull it from collections
To everyone complaining about it not being solo just lfg it as well as doing the quest you will meet new people to play with meaning you cam get into things like raids i understand it can be daunting but just do it you won't regret it
