Yea um is it worth it is my question
No it’s probably the worst exotic in the game. In PvP you get 3 shots (4 on mayhem) and it takes 2 shots to get a kill on a non super guardian without damage a buff. In PVE a fusion rifle will out damage it. The only redeeming thing about it is that it has no damage fall off thanks to the high explosive payload but then you realize it only explodes on detect contact with a enemy and it does not crit.

I know some people don’t want to do it, but I was able to solo the entire quest including the dungeon. Since I have absolutely no one to play with on PC, I had to solo it.
It’s possible to solo, you can do it :)
Some tips to solo (at least in my experience): use Wish-ender or Jötunn to kill the ogres and sword bearers. Also for the secret boss fight, wish-ender is amazing. I went with Wish-ender, a solar fusion rifle, and Wendigo Also Ward of Dawn is extremely handy in case you die.
It’s pretty damn hard but it’s possible.
Vik Nik There's a cheese to get to the secret boss by skipping the rest of the dungeon. Are you familiar with it? There's a few videos on TH-cam that show how. You can get Xenophage solo, but it ISN'T easy. The first time I tried, my power was only around 950, and I could swear that Volmar was back to full health if you died (a TH-camr even confirmed that), which meant I didn't have a prayer. I went back in today, at 970, and beat it solo. This time, Volmar retained whatever damage she took previously (maybe that mechanic changed), so even though I died a lot, I was able to chip away at her and kill her. Like I said, it isn't easy. I know your O.P. was 2 months ago, and maybe you got the Xenophage by now, but I just thought I'd tell you that it CAN be gotten solo. I suppose you could also do the "cheese run" with 2 friends, skip the dungeon part, and make the Volmar encounter a little easier. Good luck.

It works. The Hellmouth L.S. is BM BM instead of BM (the last one) only.

First time also I shot the wrong one but I tried again and it worked.
It's BM, BM. Don't remove anything, just add another BM in the end of video's sequence in 7:48.
But, um, just because you didn't get it, it doesn't mean it's not working, kai? I already did with multiple Guardians that I created to repeat the Shadowkeep, so... yeah, you can do this :) just try again the sequence, please.

Did this today. The runes in the lost sectors were extremely buggy. To anyone doing it now: It worked best for me to wait in front of the runes for about 2 minutes before even trying to shoot them. Also, for the final boss, none of the orb stuff was needed. We went in and supered her to death in about 6 seconds.
The chest where you initialy get the quest you dont activate those statues randomly. You go Bottom Right / Top Right / Top Left / Bottom Left.
Or bottom right Bottom left top left top right
Or you just go in a circle starting with bottom right
Me and my friends were just doing it randomly and we managed to do it

fun fact: for the solution to the lost sector puzzle, the order does not matter, the only thing that matters is that the correct button is shot the correct number of times. Great job simplifying your puzzle solution to such a short and succinct set of steps
If you're reading this in Beyond Light, get Lament first. It kills the boss on the last step inside PoH through the shield without doing anything 👌

IMPORTANT NOTE: The only way this worked for me is using a scout WITHOUT explosive payload as a perk. For some reason explosive payload screws things up

Just a tip for the last step on the boss, use Borealis, trust me it makes things a lot less complicated.

For some reason I never did this quest. Well my brother and I just finished it and what's funny about it is at the final boss encounter, I could damage her with anything. We never had to do the orb part. My brother couldn't damage her at all. Lucky us I guess lol

i like to imagine that bungie hired someone to think of a slightly complicated quest, but then that person got high af and forgot to give the quest an end and here we are now!
I picked it up after reset and I don't normally go for exotic quests early. Every step was its own level of difficulty and had some fun challenges, but do NOT attempt the final boss alone or without at least one vanishing Hunter.

Ikr, its absolutely terrible. It's basically an exotic heavy sniper that cannot crit, terrible weapon. Such a cool weapon design too, such a shame.
It does deserve every bit to hit the heavy route. Just like Leviathan's breath. Nothing had to hit so fast or reload so quickly. Their damage may not cover other flaws they possess but make up to pack punches. It's a slug lmg, duh. Not a delirium or with a fire rate of an SMG.. just enjoy the game and don't be picky, nerd

No, it likely didn't but you get how it goes as a D2 TH-camr becomes bigger the more pretentious they become to break to that point for more ad revenue. Never really got what people liked about Datto a guy who weighs about 100lbs when soaking wet, drooling nerd maybe they can relate or whatever he doesn't appeal at all to me he is annoying. One of those guys who use certain words... but I digress to try and sound smarter than I actually am.
Lol fuck no it didn't. 99.9% of his videos are like this. I guarantee you he has entire takes, cuts, pre-footage, etc, dedicated exclusively to artificially extending video run time by blessing us with his art of talking as slow as possible that helps him perfect his talent of including as many pauses as possible, on top of his love of mixing irrelevant dialogue as much as he possibly can, all to get as much ads as he can
It's Rick kackis, that's how he does is thing. Datto does it a different way. So have others. Leave it alone and just play the game
Great guide, but damn, your directional descriptions of the inside of the dungeon are terrible man, for real. "Go through this door, go to the far right of the map, go through this door, go back through the door you came, go through a tower and kill a boss after seeing some runes", etc. Gotta be a bit more descriptive dude, or at least show better footage of pathways and how to get through to all these specific areas

Hey sunshine, you need to stop the speeding up of locations on the anchors of light (light your path section) and either give a map or slow down. Some of us are not hardened veterans that find this is easy. I normally enjoy your guides but this first part stinks! The lost sectors and puzzels are clear enough but useless if you can not light your path.
