Thanks for the video. I just rebuilt my fuel pump on my 95 Johnson 150 today had a small hole in the diaphragm on one side causing my issue not getting the right mixture Quick $50 fix.
What happens if you use it for too long ? Or , like you say , it gets too hot ? I mean, what are the cons for abusing this method ? Does the same things happen if you test run in a barrel for too long ? Thanks for your continued generous consideration, Sincerely .................
You should never run a motor when it is overheating- probably never overheat in a barrel or with this Flush Kit - but some idiot may run their motor for 2 hours at high rpm and blame me for damaging their motor - people are crazy.
@@michaeljsimon ... that sounds ridiculous but possible. I don't know much about motors, especially outboards , but someone told me not to run the pressure washer w/out having it hooked to water and all I wanted to do was see if it would start. Maybe 10 or 20 sec. I thought that was extreme but if a pressure washer could be damaged so quickly, then I wondered if running a boat motor could be damaged , even if you did have water but ran it for a min or so ? 2 hours ?? I don't know why anyone would need to do that anyway. Even when I run it in the lake I'm going to run from one spot to another and turn it off. I don't think I'll ever run it for more than 10 or 15 min at a time. Maybe 30 to get where I'd like to be. Thanks for induldging me Mr. T-Mike, Sincerely ....................

T Mike, I have a 9.5 Johnson, 1965. It does not leak gear oil. What other ways can water get in the LU besides drain and vent plugs ? Thanks, David.
Shift rod seal - no leak but water gets in.
T Mike, do you have a part number for a gear case seal kit for the 9.5 MQ-11C ( 1965 ) Johnson ?
Thanks, David.

Thank you. I just found your eBay store by watching one of your videos.
I ordered my kit from you. What is the best gasket sealant for lower units, water pump and gear housing ?

Okay, maybe that was a stupid question. I'll try again. What is too long ?
