Learn how to learn to 360 flip in 5 minutes 😂 took me years to learn it and I constantly forget. Love it though. If it took 5 minutes then I'd be a master by how many minutes I've spent learning it.
Even with the best teacher in the world that covers everything you need to know to do a treflip, there's absolutely no fucking way you can land it in 5 minutes... We all know skateboarding is a tryhard hobby (and that's why most of us love it). Now... to do treflips it's important to understand a few things : tres are gonna tres because it's a "pressure" type trick... Most fliptricks are but this one particularly. Started skating in 1998 and... of course I did some treflips... but never took the time to actually add them to my repertoire and so I watched many tutos to help me do it - and well, now I'm going tryhard mode and here's what I understood about it, with three big key factors : 1)You need weight on your front foot, you need to feel that this foot actually puts pressure on the weight. The scoop will work only if you have pressure on your front foot, else it ain't gonna flip right. If you feel you have that weigh pushing the board on the ground on that front foot but cannot the board to go up, then you need your front foot to get closer to your back foot. 2)As he mentionned, your shoulders need to be squared. Some people do it with their front shoulder open (like Luan Oliveira) but it's easier to learn it with your shoulders squared... this way, it's easier to get the board to do its 360 shove-it part. 3)The scoop needs to hit the board kinda like in a sort of diagonal... not going to the heel-side, else it's not gonna go "up" (as in vertical) - of course you also need to smack the tail ^^ When I go for a tre, I check these three things : "front foot weight - shoulders squared ("gorilla-like") - scoop INTO the tail" Also for me, going up a bank/kicker helps cuz I don't have to deal much with the popping part : helped me correct my shoulders and the front foot weight thing and now well... I can do them on flat (not automatic but working on it). Hope this helps!

Bro practing kickflips as much as i have been made this trick hella quick to learn did it in a day proud of myself especially since it took me so long to get my kickflips down
i can do them 1 out of 10 times for a year now. 1 small mistake and it doesn't work, so annoying. i wonder if i learned it wrong or how do i get them more consistent. granted i do mine differently - people say "it's all in the back foot" but when i started focusing on the front foot little more, i landed my first clean treflip. it lacks pop, but no tic tac etc...
This guy does not do them proper. Everyone throws them. It is garbage. He even says it is throwing it. Not if it is done properly. Watch Tim O Connor or Rob Pluhowski. Your feet should have all the pressure between your feet. The back foot holds pressure on the inside and your front balances the outside. That is how you get explosive pop. It should NOT float with you. It should be popped properly and spring up to your feet. That is why this guy barely catches his even down stuff or off of a bump. He doesnt spring it up properly and just throws them. That is why people do that stink foot nyjah tre flip now. They just throw it and get the foot out of the way. THAT IS NOT THE PROPER WAY TO DO IT AT ALL. If you learn it like that good luck actually popping them to noseslide. You will never get it to flick on time doing them like this. You have to pop the f*cker.

Amazingly explained
Great explanation! Can't wait to try it out tomorrow!
dudes a great teacher, ty
as an ex skater from back when the 360 flip was first thought of....this is well explained
domo is for the future of skateboarding!!!!! great advice from a great pro
My favorite thing about this video is that he just did a normal tre flip...no theatrics...no stanky leg.
Exactly!
I need to look down at what I am doing. Crouch lower and I might land it. I got my spin on the board down pat.
Domo is the bomb diggity. Full stop.
"A five minute tre flip tutorial" is a better title.
