Great video, John. I can tell that you utilize your TV background with the videos being short and concise like a sport segment on television. Keep up the good work
I think it was a success as far as it gives this next year a possibility to be big. It's down to the marketing team to do a good job. Now fans can establish familiarity with their team.
This league never got its full deserved documentary like a 30 for 30 or something. Thanks for the brief but great revisit. More please. John remember the AAFL in 2000 do one on them.
I wanted these Freng teams to be picked up by the NFL like in the NFL's previous history. How they picked up the Browns, the Colts and the 49ers and eventually the a the whole A. F. L. How bout a what if documentary WHAT IF Trumps plan worked and Original USFL merged with the NFL .
Michael Huyghue wrote a really interesting books about his life and there's a lot about his time as the UFL commissioner. Joe Moglia who was coach of Omaha has a great book about leaving his CEO job to become a coach. I don't know about the AAFL. What was that?
I remember watching games of that UFL. It was my first peek into the world of alternative football. I enjoyed watching the games, and since then I've been watching games of all the alt. leagues. Since the current UFL announced expansion, I really think Omaha should be looked at, same for Sacramento; especially if Seattle comes back.
As per usual John , another great vid on the genesis of spring football. I was wondering however, has there been any talk or movement on the quest for private ownership groups for the league? I feel our salvation is going to be in the acquisition private ownership. This year 4 is crucial for long-term survival. We've got to hit the ground running. Fox has the superbowl this year, thus I believe we really need to kickoff the weekend following it. This season needs to start in St Louis. Battle-Hawks v Stallions. I'll bet we could put 50k in that dome . Also we should utilize all 3 domes for opening weekend. If we make it to year 5 , it would put us in a very good position for private ownership groups to come on board.
@@gregorycrawford5105 private ownership is definitely the goal. This could be a make or break for the league this year. If it's another successful season, that could be a good step toward selling a product to private ownership. Not sure outside of a couple of markets if there's anything to really buy or invest in after last year.
Ok, so now that we know that the first season of the UFL was a success why isn't the league going to get the expansion?.... And that's another team that should be revived in the UFL for New York. As the New York Sentinels.
I would love to see the current UFL teams play against the CFL teams. In Canada with Canadian rules, in the month of May
Don’t know if that would have saved the old UFL, but who knows?

I appreciate that! I try to keep to the point but tell the story in full. Thank you for the compliment!

@@Instant4real the new version has definitely been a success. That version in the video was not.

That's always something I thought about. Would the USFL have eventually merged with the NFL. That ill-fated attempt to force the merger was just sad.
What’s the AAFL? Do you mean the AAF…Alliance of American Football or something different that I’m not aware of?

They should put tese teams in the current UFL
