One of the greatest episodes I watched despite no ARR music played in between. A great legend talking about another great will only make you see nothing else but just listen!!
Ofcrs, what I felt the best takeaway of this episode "that intuitiveness of Rahman" was also your cover line for this episode just sums it up all. I think I heard Shekhar Kapur ji also said something similar about ARR in another video. Ofcrs, thats the greatness of ARR! He intuitively makes music exactly what the director wants or even better than that and also feels the audience pulse at the same time. It's a rare talent and that's why he could mould himself into any form of music, anywhere!! (One could see even after doing so many super hit films by the time of zubaida, he didn't sound even one bit like any of his previous numbers. Here, he totally surrendered to Shyam Bengal ji's vision!)
His unique and incredible versatility is something, which so many, even great composers don't have it in this measure!!

my exact feelings....well put! i find cutting to those covers an unnecessary distraction even subpar fillers to stretch the length, quite contrary to expectation. Shyam Benegal is a rare breed of exemplary orator, I think he gave them more to work with unlike other interviewees interviewed before.

Dear Mr. Kanth. first of all thank you very much for watching and liking the series. Your comments convey how close this series is to your heart. Its been 20 Years since Zubeida released but I guarantee that a mehndi ceremony is not celebrated without "MEHNDI HAI RACHNE WALI". That song is immortal and I am sure it will continue to be played for a lifetime. The melodies music, heart touching lyrics and beautifully sung by Alka Yagnik.

Zubeida was the album I listened to when it was released, I didn't knew hindi that time, I was awestruck it did something magical in me and inspired to learn hindi. Thanks to A.R.Rahman and zubeida album I learned hindi and got fluent with it and could understand the lyrics of the songs. Zubeida was not the kind of mainstream music, but it was magical and out of the world. I have listened to it more than 300 times still its fresh love it from the ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️

The power of spirituality is a kind of perfume to AR Rahman and it is the main essence lead ARR as one of the greatest music composers of all time.
I remember in one of his youtube videos, he removed his shoes before he was playing Kwaja.
Another example is Sachin respecting Achrekar sir who is his guru on every possible event.
Such small gestures from great people teaches many lessons like fear of God , respect to elders. Success never comes in a single day. Once it comes, to continue the success status, one has to work harder and live with those good rules.
O2India, your videos extracts such qualities of AR Rahman unveiled from people, whom he has worked with. In the new year you will have more work as I have just seen the lemusk site , which is an out of the world creation by ARR for films and music.
It would be great if you could come up similar series for Sachin Tendulkar as well.
O2india, I guess I should appear for IELTS to learn vocabulary to appreciate in better way for your future work
    Happy New year.
