Working from home I have neglected my dresses and jewelry but I have been putting on makeup and perfumes everyday! I work in an hospital so I have to be careful with scents but now that I am home I gogo gaga and wear anything anytime! 😆 I have to check oit these oils. It’s an excellent tip mixing them with a body lotion! 👍🏻

Oh yes, we can definitely smell texture! I actually wore BR540 the other day ... and really enjoyed my day with it (I guess we had the best smelling classroom at school as you know how well it performs). Lush actually does oil versions of their fragrances and they’re excellent to scent unscented beard oil ... I miss my beard. Mixing it with body lotion also makes sense. And yes, it looks quite a lot 😂, but I say: Go for it and make the world a better smelling place. And: am I the first?
First in SO MANY WAYS, Andreas! I'm sad to see your beard go, too. I love the moustaches! But, like you, I also love cappuccino, so perhaps the sacrifice is worth it until the summer months? I think one of my favourite things about this whole TH-cam scent thing is that I KNOW WHAT YOU SMELLED LIKE YESTERDAY. Oh dear: that sounds TERRIBLE/CREEPY a.f., and yet I'm going to leave it as it is. I feel so connected! The other day Jon did a review on a scent I had a sample of (for the first time...) and I was giddy to think that I could smell what he was smelling. The same thing right now: to think that we don't know each other, but I know something as intimate as what the scent you're wearing smells like. Make the world a better smelling place: YAS!!!!! I totally put my lipstick on under my mask but I try not to wear red when I wear a mask because when I take my mask off I usually look like a clown in a horror movie!! 😀. Great video Julija!!!

I’ll keep this brand on my list ton try. The one’s I’ve tried over the years didn’t have a particular brand - I bought them from local vendors at festivals or outdoor markets.

I wear lipstick, lip gloss, the whole getup, under my mask. 🤣 something I find helps me to be able to smell my own fragrance on myself is that I will actually dab one of these perfume oils to my earlobes, my temples and the sides of my cheeks to be able to smell my scent wafting right around my nose for hours. I don’t care if it breaks down my makeup underneath, I rarely wear foundation anymore anyways ☺️

Oh you hush that. I've been watching threw your newer videos. Actually watched your most recent video earlier this morning and you still have the youthfulness. As for your salt and pepper hair, you look like a rockstar or a fun cockatoo lol However, your youthfulness is not the looks but your awesome spirit! You crack me up Yes. I'm all for a dupe as long as it is good. Perfume is perfume and when you like buying and trying as much as we do, a cheapy but goody is great. I like oil perfumery. I have their Gentle Fluidity Gold by MfK dupe and its great. And the Killian Princess dupe which is also nice. I use them as perfume body oils by pouring it into jojoba oil and pair it with the actual perfume. I'm always on the hunt for good dupes after research because some are very close and some way off.

Like you said the projection doesn’t compare to an actual alcohol spray but they’re really nice and I’ll be using your application tip in hopes of better projection. I do love hair products, and, you're not going to believe this, but I buy them based on how they smell. :P It's just Paul Mitchell Lavender Mint shampoo and conditioner and then an oil so the frizz monster doesn't eat my head. In high school one of my best friends complained when I changed hair products, she didn’t like the new ones, she preferred Pantene! Due to illness I lost some hair a few years ago, but it grew back wavy, so now I have wavy hair and fighting it makes me look like a Poodle 🐩 in Florida, 🏝 humidity 🥵 can be rough! 😆😆😆 It actually suits my face a lot better and I dreamed of wavy hair 👩🏻🦱 as a girl. 🥰🥰🥰 Loving these oil perfumes and I can’t wait to order some, what are your recommendations? 👀

To see a scent or it's texture make sense. Just a small question, does oil perfume have a predominant oil smell? The only time I smell one, It was almost the only thing that I could smell. Maybe it was because it was turning rancid?
I think that's a GREAT question! I can only speak for the ones that I've smelled from this company, but I would say that it might depend on how sensitive and/or trained your nose is. I suspect based on the posts that you write and your (envy-inspiring) knowledge of scent that your nose is orders of magnitude more sensitive than mine. I'd say then, then that you would smell (or feel, or whichever...) the oil much more than others. They really ARE different from perfume, and they do take some getting used to. The only one from this company that I'd say smelled predominantly of oil would the Dolce and Gabbana Light Blue one - it does smell like oil feels...if that makes sense. My friend gifted me the last bit of her roll on of Jazz Club and omg.... not only did I discover my new favorite fragrance, but I don’t think I’ll ever stop using oil perfumes! How do u like amber? I have baccarat rouge and I use it sparingly .. one of my favorite scents.

It's my understanding that the reason we're told not to aggressively rub actual perfume on the wrists is because it can damage the "top" layer by heating the alcohol. There is no alcohol in these oils, and so rubbing the oil (which is not only 'okay' but actually necessary as otherwise you'd have it pooled and it would get...icky?) doesn't hurt anything because there isn't a top, mid etc. The way I understand it, perfume oils and perfumes are different, and they behave differently and therefore can be treated differently. I don't often wear the same fragrance each day, so that's actually a great question! Their prices have gone up, so I won't suggest ordering to try. I'll just give you my best guess, which would be about three weeks. :)
Hi Stacy. I don't have any experience with Oakcha, but I'd venture a guess that you're 100% correct about the whole texture thing. I like the oils because they're MUCH more inexpensive (so I can use them to see if I like the scent) and MUCH more versatile (so I can actually use it up whether it be on my body or around the house), although, again, I'm sure you're right that the perfumes would be MUCH more accurate in terms of a dupe. i live in Singapore, and the zara red temptation [that many say is a dupe of the br540] doesnt last on me as long as the 4-6 hours people on youtube say it lasts on them, i assume live in a more temperate climate country... does the oil perfumery last long? - yep, i put lipstick on under my mask and still wear perfume even if it's still mandated to wear masks indoors here :-D
Hi Kikay. Thanks for your comment! I can tell you that some the Oil Perfumery oils do last, but they're not known for their lasting power. Not at all. Even if you layer with them, they are not super long lasting. We're still wearing masks indoors where I work, too. I guess there are worse things, right? Thanks for your question. this has to be to much LOL, I just received my baccarat rouge 540 oilperfumery and i barely put it on my wrist and I intoxicate my self lol !! I usally torelate parfum well.
:) All of the ones I've had have not had great projection, so I wear TONNES of it (as per the video) so that other people can smell it. But you certainly have to do what feels comfortable for you. Are you enjoying it?

Hi Jason. Thanks for your question. I have to admit that I'm unsure of how to answer it. I have not had any experience with the oils spoiling or going bad. My first thought would be to say that oil is actually a preservative, so I would imagine it would take years (and years and years!) for them to spoil if they are stored correctly. By "correctly" I mean the thing about how people to say to store them in a dry, dark place away from heat, so, like, definitely NOT in the bathroom or shower area or in the car. The thing is, with these oils there's VERY little projection, so unless someones all up in your grill, no one's going to even notice your scent unless you go full-on maniac. :) I worry about over doing it with perfume all the time, but not with this stuff. I guess I can agree that certain ones aren't that potent (Bois d'Argent), but others definitely are. I really think it depends on the scent. I'm sort of under the impression that they tend to project more over the long run than the alcohol based sprays in most cases. You too, have a great rest of your weekend!
Hi iStorm. To be honest, it takes me AGES to go through a 10mL because I have so many. I think it's all relative to how often you use them. Some last all day, and some you need to apply more often. I ask bc, not sure if you noticed, but the new reformulated Alien perfume is weak sauce, so now I must do what I've never done before...Start layering with other products.. Prior to this I used to think the measure of a good perfume was if it could stand on its own without the body wash, gel, lotion, cream, Vaseline etc.

Working from home I have neglected my dresses and jewelry but I have been putting on makeup and perfumes everyday! I work in an hospital so I have to be careful with scents but now that I am home I gogo gaga and wear anything anytime! 😆 I have to check oit these oils. It’s an excellent tip mixing them with a body lotion! 👍🏻

Oh yes, we can definitely smell texture! I actually wore BR540 the other day ... and really enjoyed my day with it (I guess we had the best smelling classroom at school as you know how well it performs). Lush actually does oil versions of their fragrances and they’re excellent to scent unscented beard oil ... I miss my beard. Mixing it with body lotion also makes sense. And yes, it looks quite a lot 😂, but I say: Go for it and make the world a better smelling place. And: am I the first?
First in SO MANY WAYS, Andreas! I'm sad to see your beard go, too. I love the moustaches! But, like you, I also love cappuccino, so perhaps the sacrifice is worth it until the summer months? I think one of my favourite things about this whole TH-cam scent thing is that I KNOW WHAT YOU SMELLED LIKE YESTERDAY. Oh dear: that sounds TERRIBLE/CREEPY a.f., and yet I'm going to leave it as it is. I feel so connected! The other day Jon did a review on a scent I had a sample of (for the first time...) and I was giddy to think that I could smell what he was smelling. The same thing right now: to think that we don't know each other, but I know something as intimate as what the scent you're wearing smells like. Make the world a better smelling place: YAS!!!!! I’ll keep this brand on my list ton try. The one’s I’ve tried over the years didn’t have a particular brand - I bought them from local vendors at festivals or outdoor markets.

I wear lipstick, lip gloss, the whole getup, under my mask. 🤣 something I find helps me to be able to smell my own fragrance on myself is that I will actually dab one of these perfume oils to my earlobes, my temples and the sides of my cheeks to be able to smell my scent wafting right around my nose for hours. I don’t care if it breaks down my makeup underneath, I rarely wear foundation anymore anyways ☺️

Yes. I'm all for a dupe as long as it is good. Perfume is perfume and when you like buying and trying as much as we do, a cheapy but goody is great. I like oil perfumery. I have their Gentle Fluidity Gold by MfK dupe and its great. And the Killian Princess dupe which is also nice. I use them as perfume body oils by pouring it into jojoba oil and pair it with the actual perfume. I'm always on the hunt for good dupes after research because some are very close and some way off.

I've heard of adding some drops of perume oil to your body lotion, BUT to also mix it with your shower gel or whatever?? I'll have to give that a try!
It's just an extra step that sometimes helps for a nice layering moment. I don't know that it adds A LOT of scent, but it does work for me. :) Thanks for being here and hanging out and for commenting! That's very kind of you. :)

Like you said the projection doesn’t compare to an actual alcohol spray but they’re really nice and I’ll be using your application tip in hopes of better projection. I'm thankful for my hair...most days. I do love hair products, and, you're not going to believe this, but I buy them based on how they smell. :P It's just Paul Mitchell Lavender Mint shampoo and conditioner and then an oil so the frizz monster doesn't eat my head. In high school one of my best friends complained when I changed hair products, she didn’t like the new ones, she preferred Pantene! Due to illness I lost some hair a few years ago, but it grew back wavy, so now I have wavy hair and fighting it makes me look like a Poodle 🐩 in Florida, 🏝 humidity 🥵 can be rough! 😆😆😆 It actually suits my face a lot better and I dreamed of wavy hair 👩🏻🦱 as a girl. 🥰🥰🥰 Loving these oil perfumes and I can’t wait to order some, what are your recommendations? 👀

To see a scent or it's texture make sense. Just a small question, does oil perfume have a predominant oil smell? The only time I smell one, It was almost the only thing that I could smell. Maybe it was because it was turning rancid?
I think that's a GREAT question! I can only speak for the ones that I've smelled from this company, but I would say that it might depend on how sensitive and/or trained your nose is. I suspect based on the posts that you write and your (envy-inspiring) knowledge of scent that your nose is orders of magnitude more sensitive than mine. I'd say then, then that you would smell (or feel, or whichever...) the oil much more than others. They really ARE different from perfume, and they do take some getting used to. The only one from this company that I'd say smelled predominantly of oil would the Dolce and Gabbana Light Blue one - it does smell like oil feels...if that makes sense. Thanks so much, Edna! So nice to have you here. It's my understanding that the reason we're told not to aggressively rub actual perfume on the wrists is because it can damage the "top" layer by heating the alcohol. There is no alcohol in these oils, and so rubbing the oil (which is not only 'okay' but actually necessary as otherwise you'd have it pooled and it would get...icky?) doesn't hurt anything because there isn't a top, mid etc. The way I understand it, perfume oils and perfumes are different, and they behave differently and therefore can be treated differently. I don't often wear the same fragrance each day, so that's actually a great question! Their prices have gone up, so I won't suggest ordering to try. I'll just give you my best guess, which would be about three weeks. :)

Hi Stacy. I don't have any experience with Oakcha, but I'd venture a guess that you're 100% correct about the whole texture thing. I like the oils because they're MUCH more inexpensive (so I can use them to see if I like the scent) and MUCH more versatile (so I can actually use it up whether it be on my body or around the house), although, again, I'm sure you're right that the perfumes would be MUCH more accurate in terms of a dupe. i live in Singapore, and the zara red temptation [that many say is a dupe of the br540] doesnt last on me as long as the 4-6 hours people on youtube say it lasts on them, i assume live in a more temperate climate country... does the oil perfumery last long? - yep, i put lipstick on under my mask and still wear perfume even if it's still mandated to wear masks indoors here :-D
Hi Kikay. Thanks for your comment! I can tell you that some the Oil Perfumery oils do last, but they're not known for their lasting power. Not at all. Even if you layer with them, they are not super long lasting. We're still wearing masks indoors where I work, too. I guess there are worse things, right? Thanks for your question. I hope you find something that lasts for you. I find the Mancera fragrances I have really last a long time. Have you tried any from them?

this has to be to much LOL, I just received my baccarat rouge 540 oilperfumery and i barely put it on my wrist and I intoxicate my self lol !! I usally torelate parfum well.
:) All of the ones I've had have not had great projection, so I wear TONNES of it (as per the video) so that other people can smell it. But you certainly have to do what feels comfortable for you.

@@ScentSiblingsDotCA Today was my first day trying baccarat oil. Just smelling from the bottle it smell very good, but as soon as it touch my skin its doesn't smell very good, i don't know why. I will retry tomorrow !
How long do oil perfumery oils last before spoiling or going bad.
Hi Jason. Thanks for your question. I have to admit that I'm unsure of how to answer it. I have not had any experience with the oils spoiling or going bad. My first thought would be to say that oil is actually a preservative, so I would imagine it would take years (and years and years!) for them to spoil if they are stored correctly. By "correctly" I mean the thing about how people to say to store them in a dry, dark place away from heat, so, like, definitely NOT in the bathroom or shower area or in the car. That seems like an insane amount of oil to put on in one go. I worry about over doing it and you're all in like a maniac! lol
I know, right??? The thing is, with these oils there's VERY little projection, so unless someones all up in your grill, no one's going to even notice your scent unless you go full-on maniac. :) I worry about over doing it with perfume all the time, but not with this stuff. Have you tried a fragrance oil? They're different. Thanks so much for hanging out with me today, Aaron!! @@ScentSiblingsDotCA I actually have several oils from Oil Perfumery and ordered several more a few days ago. I guess I can agree that certain ones aren't that potent (Bois d'Argent), but others definitely are. I really think it depends on the scent. I'm sort of under the impression that they tend to project more over the long run than the alcohol based sprays in most cases.

How long does it take you to go through the 10ml?
Hi iStorm. To be honest, it takes me AGES to go through a 10mL because I have so many. I think it's all relative to how often you use them. Some last all day, and some you need to apply more often. When I go all out like I do in this video, that lasts alllllll day. Have you ever tried these? If you do, please let me know what you think. Thanks for taking the time to comment!!

I ask bc, not sure if you noticed, but the new reformulated Alien perfume is weak sauce, so now I must do what I've never done before...Start layering with other products.. Prior to this I used to think the measure of a good perfume was if it could stand on its own without the body wash, gel, lotion, cream, Vaseline etc.
@@iStorm-my5fp Reformulations are so....infuriating, eh? Like, I get it. I get that things happen and if we want something as opposed to NOTHING we have to just grin and bear it and do what we can. I think you'll be suer happy with the oil to augment the performance of the weak sauce that is now Alien. What a lovely compliment, my new friend. Thank you. I'm TOTALLY an introvert. And, to be honest, this video was filmed a few years ago, so I've aged CONSIDERABLY and don't even look the same way. Sigh. I love this video because I felt so comfortable in my skin. These days...well, let's just say I'm working on it. I hope you start enjoying the layering process. I do think the measure of a good perfume is that one doesn't need to layer, but at this point, we gots to do what we gots to do. I hope to see you in the comments again!!!

I am not an oversprayer. I’ll do four or five depending on circumstances. This oil, though, if you want it to project, needs to be applied with abandon. ❤️😘😆
