Yeah, that was funny as hell. O own the original juice and the oil and it is on spot. I usually wear this on when I hit bikers club in my leather. I smoke, I drink, I rock n Roll and this goes with it well lol.
I’ve bought Spiriteuse Double Vanille from Oil Perfumery twice. The first time, I was in heaven - best scent ever, and I knew I would be a customer for life. It smelled like a gorgeous incense-y, caramelic vanilla with a touch of cedar and rose. Divine. Absolutely my favorite scent ever! The second time I ordered it, it smelled completely different. It smelled like incense-y baby powder. No vanilla at all! I was so disappointed!! I even contacted the company, and they gave me a partial refund. I let the scent mature for a couple months, too, but no change - still smells of baby powder. I was disappointed with the inconsistency, and I would absolutely love to be able to get that original scent again, but now I am scared to waste money on it. :(
Oh no! Mine smells great so I must have an old batch. Maybe they bought a new batch with a different vanilla. It’s interesting that you smell baby powder. I have a baby powder oil from a different company and it’s one of my favorite vanillas. I didn’t realize how vanilla-y baby powder is.

I own 15 of them… Only three I don’t like but it’s mostly because it’s not my scent profile (Oud Bouquet, Atomic Rose and Side Effects). I like to buy their Jo Malone’s dupes to match the perfume that don’t last. i’m wearing Bal D’Afrique tonight and I love it! No clue if it’s close to the real thing but I don’t mind. It’s good! 🙂 Bitter Peach, Tamarindo, Gypsy Water and Fleur Narcotique are some I really enjoy but honestly I love all the ones that I have… I subscribed to your channel. J’adore leur version de l’eau papier! Très similaire à l’original, sauf que le musc blanc en note de fond ne ressort pas autant que l’original. C’est comme si les notes de tête et de cœur restaient plus longtemps avec l’huile (le riz, le mimosa, les graines de sésame)
I’ve only tried the Julianna’s Perfume’s dupe of Love Don’t Be Shy... I want so badly to smell what everyone else is smelling, but to me it’s straight-up children’s chewable orange tylenol or motrin. And I have only heard that Julianna’s is spot-on. It definitely breaks my heart. I just tried Oil Perfumery a few months ago. I picked-up the dupes for Montale’s Honey Aoud (the original is an all time favorite, but the OP version falls short), Mugler’s Aura (only smelled the OG lotion, the OP dupe smells like mint chocolate chip ice cream and forest to me 😍), and Byredo’s Pulp (never smiled the original, but the OP one is amazing - definitely has that strong, tart “pulp” smell). I actually have a pen order arriving tomorrow for the dupes of Min Guerlain, Mon Paris, Miss Dior, Lipstick on... and a few others. I actually prefer the roller balls over sprays, so pretty excited over all. I absolutely love your take on fragrances and how you’ve encouraged me to try some vintage scents that I never would have before. Amazing content! I hope your approach never changes!
