  • Want to know what syrups are a MUST have this year? Check out this review on the highs and lows of my current syrup collection! Just so this video wasn't horrifically long, I only review my favorites and least favorites, but if anybody has any questions about the other syrups I have (or have had), please let me know - maybe I'll make a part 2 about the other syrups I have... thoughts? :)

    I tried Monin lavender and it tasted like soap to me 😅 So glad that I got the mini floral set from World Market first. Cannot imagine trying to finish a 750ml bottle of soap lol

      Lol you can definitely never go wrong with trial sets! I tried the Monin' Rose once and thought the SAME thing - a little soapy haha 😂 I would never be able to finish it!

    Thank you for the reviews! I bought the Jordan’s salted caramel after one of your syrup videos and I love it! Can’t wait to try some of the syrups you recommended in this video.

      Omg yes honestly that salted caramel is still my fave! I didn’t talk about it in this video because I have the torani SF salted caramel now and it fell in the middle (I like it, but I definitely have others I like more like Jordan’s in that flavor!)🥰

      Yes when I tried it was I was blown away at how much it tasted like a chai tea latte! I need to try the monin’ one later on to see how it compares, but so far, really liking this one!

    You should try the “candy style” or fruity syrups with soda water or iced tea

      OOOHHHH that actually sounds good!😋 I have a little sodastream so I’ll have to try that with cotton candy and candy apple!!

    So, it kind of sounds like Jordan's Skinny Syrups have an unappealing aftertaste in general. I'm new at this and dont want to have a bunch of bottles lying around that I cant use. What brand has little or no aftertaste?

      I’ll admit that I really like some of the basic JSS ones (vanilla, hazelnut, white chocolate, salted caramel, and caramel)!
      I also really like most of Torani’s sugar free syrups, as well as Monin’s. I haven’t tried all of their SF ones, but I think both brands’ aftertastes are fairly mild, especially when paired with creamier milks. I haven’t tried any other SF brands that I know of outside of those, unfortunately. I’m happy to go into detail on certain syrup flavors if you’re wondering about them!! :)

      Thank you for watching! 🥰 Since I got the butter rum syrup I have tried it with a few different milks including nonfat, almond milk, oat milk, and 2%. Personally, I like my coffee on the creamier side, so I thought it tasted best in the 2% and oat milk, but the flavoring didn’t change all that much between each, so you can’t go wrong with any of those! As for matcha, I hadn’t tried it before, but your comment made me intrigued to! I tried it today and it was fine, but I’m one to try atypical food/drink combos so I thought the flavor profile was interesting. It might not be for the average person’s taste, and it’s truthfully hard to describe, but if you like an earthy, yet sweet combo I think you will like it.
      I think the taste that someone would achieve with this combo can also really depend on how much milk, matcha powder, and syrup you use - I like the earthy taste of matcha, so I tend to use less syrup and more milk + matcha. But I might try it with an extra bit of the syrup and let you know how that differs in the next couple of days! (If you wanted to know what I tried, I have a matcha concentrate powder, so unlike Starbucks, I would say I use a teaspoon and a half of matcha powder with ice, 8-10 oz. of milk and a tablespoon of a syrup of choice.)

    I am not surprised that you have so many skinny syrups at the bottom. They have a horrible artificial taste to them no matter what flavor I tried . I no longer buy them.

    • @lilizzy428
      @lilizzy428  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yeah unfortunately I think that beyond the basic skinny flavors (vanilla, hazelnut, etc.) the flavor/after taste is just a little too much for me!

      For sure! Sugar free is such a gamble! But I have found a few that I like.
