Oh man you got screwed! I don’t know what I would do.The whole reason I spent $13-1400 on these lights were so I can get perfect fitment/ and no headache wiring. I was one of the first to get the lights in the US and luckily everything about the lights came out good and functioned right. Mine came with a DRL harness that connects to the battery terminals, much easier and really was plug and play. Morimoto made a mistake somewhere in the process because different distributors received different harnesses, fuses for the harness and instructions. Really says a lot about a company, they should make it right for every customer with defects...but that’s just how it goes. Nice video, just subbed!

When I was researching it I could see some others in the US getting different bits and pieces but yeah it seems morimoto dropped the ball, I'm guessing they didn't realize there would be such a demand and maybe changed manufacturing processes to keep up with it, who knows, either way it's not cool! Dudeeee, watched your videos for a long time and I stumbled across your morimoto headlights install. It bugged me the entire video thinking where have I seen you before, then it hit me, you're Mr H! I've got myself a 370z Nismo so nice to see you're also into the Zs. Shame you've had issues with torqen, but then im not surprised. He's fine to use until something goes wrong, just like he stitched me up with 1700 quids worth of exhaust that didn't fit.
AND we are STILL waiting for another option for headlights. Heck, a lot of things. I have said the same thing... all these years and still not a lot of options.
The headlights are amazing brightness. If you ever have to replace the entire headlight unit, they're comparable in price to OEM lights new. Unfortunately the low beam setting on the Morimotos is not amazing, it doesn't cast light car enough to be safe at night. If you can't use the brights at night, be ready to creep at 35mph.
I am considering buying them too. They look really nice! But I saw in another video and comments that there are problems with the aiming of the light. Were you able to adjust them properly that you don’t blind others in traffic at night?? Did you have a problems with that??
I think morimoto actually heard the reviews about it and are now pre adjusting them because mine came set right. Either that or z1 motorsports does it.
@@MrHVlogsMore nah I'm saying my drls work without the wire that you plug into the fuse box. Some people were having issues with rapid blinking. Nothing here was directed at you though I was just sharing my experience with the headlights.
Any tips for the rewiring? Mine come in tomorrow and only electrical I’ve done on it was the 4th center brake light, went with these cause for the US was cheaper than oem and was hoping for that plug and play ease
@@riomatrix6156 Does it ? cause I suspected it did without the fuse tap, I installed mine but the wire wasn’t long enough so I kinda had to keep the fuse box like half open. (Not something I wanna do at all, but it’s winter and in the garage for storage right now)
@@Existentialcrisis_1488 yea they work but disclaimer I changed my bumber so don't have the stock drls but if you turn the lights to the drl setting they turn on it's not automatic like the stock drls though
@@riomatrix6156 ah I see, interesting. I have an earlier 370z, a 2011 which does not have the new bumper with the LED DRLs. So the lighting normally just works off the one HID bulb from the OEM headlight, using that as the “DRL” wonder if it mite just work normally for mine without using the fuse tap
@@Existentialcrisis_1488 I don't see why it wouldn't especially if you're replacing the headlights with the new ones the power that turned on the one bulb should work to power the drls for the new headlight.

Had zero issues with mine didn't need to mess with anything to get the sequential, it doesn't rapid blink, and my drls work without the extra wiring.
Extra wiring was because I wasn't aware there was another fuse box deep in the engine bay. Rapid blink? Not sure what you're referencing there dude

I ordered mine off z1 and they were plug n play. The sequential worked without adjusting anything and my drls work without the extra wiring.

As you say the lights are really special but not cheap. I got Torqen to fit mine and the service was great.
