"Save a lost child" was a reference to something Iida's brother told him in a flashback (Season 2 I think). He said the best/coolest type of hero is the kind who would help a lost child. Present Mic is using a Megaphone because he can't use his quirk against civilians. Aizawa already warned him once about that in Season 1when the journalists got onto school grounds. This episode was done extremely well. Voice actors have been at the top of their game this season.
When Deku says "I'm sorry for saying that you couldn't keep up" and Bakugo says "I know" I think there's a lot more behind that "I know" than just "I know you're sorry" I seen it as him saying "I've said the exact same shit to you countless times, I know the guilt you felt saying it."
I love how Bakugou concluded his apology by calling Deku ‘Izuku’ to really drive home that he’s not talking to the hero Deku or the kid he use to rival himself with, but just with Izuku.

Love, LOVE, LOVE this episode. Let's discuss the parallels. First, we have Iida thinking back to when he thought he absolutely had to face the villain before him to the point of even throwing away his own safety. Izuku is playing right into AFO's hands by tiring himself out but he feels like he can't just sit and rest when Shigaraki always knows where he is. Izuku helped Iida with his problem. Now Iida steps up to help him with his. Next up, the Bakugo rescue that happened. Back then, Shoto made the ice ramp as Iida flew through the sky. Izuku had so many bottled up feelings for Bakugo. So many things he wanted to say to him. But he knew Bakugo would see it as a sign of weakness if he reached out to grab his hand. So he took a step back and allowed Kirishima to do it. Now, Shoto makes another ice ramp and Bakugo is the one who has the bottled up feelings inside him. He has so many things he wants to say. So many things he NEEDS to say. But he puts his feelings aside and lets Iida grab Izuku's hand because he's designed for speed. We see Tenya get to reaffirm that helping a child in need is what he does. Meddling in affairs where people might reject your help is what being a hero is all about. But more importantly, Deku needs to take a bath. Kaminari was right. All jokes aside, let's talk about Bakugo's speech. These two have such a complex relationship. From childhood best friends to a strained relationship due to Bakugo feeling inferior, to Bakugo and Izuku reluctantly working together, to Bakugo telling Izuku to stay back when he was captured to his meltdown in their second fight to them being proper rivals and Bakugo helping Deku with his quirks and then jumping in the way to save him without thinking like Izuku did for him in the past. They have such a complex relationship filled with a whirlwind of feelings. But Bakugo was willing to be vulnerable not just in front of Deku, but everything in their class. He swallowed his pride and admitted his weakness. He told Deku that it was okay to rest. That it's okay to have shortcomings because they'll have his back. And he ran up to catch Izuku when he fell. Iida caught Izuku, Bakugo made him feel comfortable enough to finally rest on his shoulder, and now the public has to be convinced that he can stay at the school. Deku thinks he's useless if he can't save people. But now it's time to address an important question. Who saves the heroes when they're in trouble? Side note, I almost forgot the Mineta line. Fun fact, in the manga, people were freaking out because of Mineta saying he fell for Deku. The fandom nearly having a meltdown at bi Mineta was peak chaos.
Bakugo haters: „I’ll never forgive Bakugo until he actually apologizes to Deku“ Bakugo: „I’m sorry for everything I did to you, Izuku“ Bakugo haters: „wait that’s illegal!?“ That scene though, with the imagery of Bakugo and Deku going through their entire childhood in different stages of school, is still one of my favorites in the entire story. There is so much power behind that it just had me almost bawling
@@Jonsnowsbigtoe cause people are weird and project there own trauma onto these characters I mean it has to be that cause there no other reason I could think of🤷♂️
7:53 No, Kirishima wasn't there. The mud villain incident happened around the same time Kirishima and Mina met Gigantomachia for the first time. Later Kirishima heard about a quirkless kid tried to save his friend, which hits his ego cause he couldn't even move to help the girls that encountered Machia. This was covered during Overhaul's arc, during their fight with Rappa iirc.
And that was barely. They took more than 10 people with their quirks, prep time and teamwork, and barely stopped an exhausted Deku who wasn't even trying to fight back for real.
I like how in this episode, Ida finally embraced the hero name Ingenium. Basically accepting the burden of carrying on that legacy, and finally coming to terms with his past mistakes.
I did exactly what Lupa did here, I was popping off about Bakugo acting like a freaking space shuttle but I also forgot about Lida, and seeing him fly off like the last stage of a rocket launch was just spectacular. I had to rewatch that bit a few times before I kept going.
Deku is so fast it literally took a train track to launch off of, Todo to blast Baku and Baku to blast Ilda, who was already using his ultimate ability ALL just to catch Deku. Like it took multiple people to do a chain reaction to boost someone to catch him holy moley.
Yo I didn't cry for a minute.. even when You Say Run started up..but I broke when I saw Iida. Not just because of their relationship, but because I KNEW it would have to be Bakugo to catch him, and the character progression of Bakugo sacrificing the spotlight/challenge to work together with Class 1-A and propel Iida forward because it was the smartest move.. just hit different 😭.. Then by the time I got myself together and dried my face.. Bakugo walked up with apology😨🥺😭😭😭😭
I can always count on these guys, idk what I was expecting. I was holding in tears the whole episode, and these guys were laughing their asses off and making jokes. You guys made me laugh a lot with this one haha.
It’s insane that the majority of Izuku’s classmates either recall the moments they spent together, worry about his well-being, or influenced in a way that they took to heart and my favorite ones are: Ilda remembering his words of “meddling when you don’t need to is the essence of a hero” during their encounter with Stain, Jiro appreciating Izuku’s note taking skills to help her out with during their time preparing the band for the school festival, Shoji remembering that team up back at Summer Camp that can rival All Might, Kaminari wanting him to take a shower plus rest, Mina saying she doesn’t want anyone else to leave so that they can attend classes again, and then there’s freaking Bakugo stepping up to atone for him bullying Izuku by apologizing not just to him, but to all of Class 1-A to show that he swallowed his pride that one time… I ended up tearing up when I watched this heartbreaking moment…! It’s a shame that there’s only 2 episodes left because THIS SEASON WAS LIT!! 🤩🤩
6:37 I HATE YOU LUPA🤣🤣 Lots of reactors have been missing the fact and weight of Bakugo called Deku by his government name, “Izuku” rather than just “Deku”
Something I noticed after a rewatch that I think y'all and most missed: that wasn't an improvised plan. They knew they were coming at the most powerful hero in the world. They know what All Might and Deku were capable of. They knew how Deku would react and what he would respond to. They knew what tactics to open and follow up with. They knew they were weaker, analyzed the situation, and made a plan with multiple contingencies that used everyone's strength in unison for a coordinated effort. Which is exactly what Midoriya has done every single time they've ever faced an enemy together. Ending with the coup de grace: an amped up version of his strategy to rescue Bakugo. This wasn't improvised, this was a 4D reverse Uno card using everything Deku ever taught them
First of all, the "traintracks on ice" maneuver was a call back to when they saved Bakugo from the League. Including the fake out of instead of Deku reaching out to Bakugo, Kirishima was sent to do that instead. This time it was Bakugo sending Iida. Also when this chapter came out, "Mineta being Bi" was actually trending because his choice of words to Deku could be interpreted as a love confession (or at least, the translation was). It was hilarious.
Even after all that whole rescue mission and apology, Deku still not really feeling okay to stay at UA as he said. He was brought back physically, but he hasn't been fully *"saved"* yet mentally. Like Eri after Overhaul, before cultural festival. Deku was straight up ready to leave after all that work to get him back, but Uraraka had to grab his hand to keep him there. So in the end, she will try to complete this mission so that Deku is fully "saved".
It's also to note: While Deku was running away from basically everyone, he at least spoke to them or barely looked at them. Like he looked and spoke to Mineta before, but he couldn't look or speak to Uraraka. He was trying to avoid her a bit more than many others because it seems she could legimately weaken his resolve to leave.
This all credits how strong Deku is, from season 1 til now. He's burnt out, tired and completely exhausted. But still outclassed his classmates lmao. Him "flying" away was crazy that it took the combined efforts of class 1-A to even catch up. Season 7 is gonna showcase his last quirk in an amazing way. Hopefully they don't give us any still frames during any of the production.
You guys notice in this episode that Bakugo, Ida, Ashido, Mineta, and Sero aren't wearing their masks/helmets when Class A was trying to get Deku back to U.A. Even Koda and Kirishima took their headgear off mid-battle.
Well tbh, Deku felt everyone's feelings, but still mentioned he didn't want to stay after all that when they brought him to UA. He hasn't fully changed his mind yet.
@Joshua Hackshaw Of course. Next episode Uraraka will play her part that the chain was linked by the efforts of the others, like she said with Iida and Bakugo. I'm just saying I wouldn't say Deku is brought back to light here yet, but the team effort as class did get Deku to apologize that they could at least reach him to catch up.
I really like that it was Iida that grabbed him during that crazy scene. Ppl seem to leave him out a lot when talking about Dekus closest friends but he's definently all the way up there with Uraraka, and their friendship is one of many things I love about the show. Bakugo giving him that bit of recognition during that scene I think is rly cool too
10:09 because he's nto legally allowed to use his Quirk on civilians, even for just normal purposes it could be dangerous, especially when these people are already so hostile at heroes
Finally, the one of the moments I was waiting for. I love how he concluded his apology through all of this, but it’s also crazy because it now shows how far ahead Midoriya is.
The writer Horikoshi stated that Present mic was using a megaphone because of how delicate the situation was. everyone on edge, scared. He thought yelling with his quirk was inappropriate.
A lot of people are missing it, but the line Iida said to Deku "Meddling when you don't need to is the essence of being a hero" is the exact same thing Deku said to Iida back when he helped him fight Stain when Iida was being stubborn about accepting help.
Shoto being upset that Deku said they "can't keep up", is interesting, because his dad Endeavour felt he couldn't keep up with All Might (and that's what drove him to do all that abuse on his family).
The thing that annoys me about those civilians is that they are being so hostile towards a child who hasn’t been home in ages. It really shows that disconnect like they are so entitled.
Exactly, and because it’s UA a villain will eventually attack there because of what it represents, it’s only a matter of time. The NPCs are some of the most irritating.
This episode was freaking epic. I love the teamwork 1-A made in order to bring Deku back, and when You Say Run played, I got hyped. When Ida used Midoriya's words from Season 2 against him, that made me tear up a little bit. And Bakugou finally apologized to Midoriya. 5:57-7:23 LMFAO
I'm really glad Bakugo apologized in front of everyone. He could've done it behind the scenes but he did it in front of the class. The same way he used to bully him in front of the class. Clean.
Bro when I first watched the scene with Iida blitzing to Deku, I cried like a bitch.. Rewatching it again with these guys made me gasp for air laughing 💀💀
DEKU : uses 45% of his power just to run away (not fight) Class A : Uses the power of flash backs to go Plus Ultra and catch up to him DEKU : Look at what they have to do to mimic a fraction of my power
The whole "creating icebridge to catch someone in the sky" and "i'll let him save you because i dont think i'm worthy for it" is a call back to when deku's tried to save deku! Both were in kamino too.
In every video I’ve seen of this reaction everyone says the same thing “Bakugo only one that can catch up to him.” Bro the disrespect to Deku even now amazes me. Bakugo is strong but to compare him to Deku at this point is just pure insanity. But I get it since Bakugo is a fan favorite which is weird because he was a legit bully. It shows a lot about our society lol
It's also nice to remember: when they went to save bakugo deku said it wouldn't be a good idea if he was the one to offer his hand - so he let kirishima do it. Now in this ep bakugo does the same with letting ida talk first
7:54 he wasn't, hearing about what Midoria did on tv helped him to regain confidence in himself after he saw Makia and couldn't do anything(flashback with him and Mina from season 4)
Definitely my favorite episode so far. Bakugo's apology was the best but I like how all his friends, whether big or small were from the heart. Deku really made a impact on them.
Class 1-A's attacks weren't improv, you know they put some formations together before hand. That last move was the same move the group used in season 3 to rescue Bakugo. A move that Midoriya came up with. They threw Midoriya's own word and moves right at him.
Man yall went all in with that intro lol, Every time Im like okay we can skip this this time, Then find myself unable to look away, Whoever did it went crazy fr!!

Alexinator, let me just say, I really appreciate you making these comments. Keep it up.
Nigga wrote a whole paragraph 😢🥲
@@prancerjackson7409 He wrote 2, actually.
AND HE SHOULD CONTINUE.
Damn
Love your comment man 👍🏼👍🏼
The tone from the seiyuu, the animation. Baku's apology almost had me crying in the manga but this episode got me there 😭
2:26 And thats why this editor is the GOAT, look at the way Bakugou's explosion blows away the blurred title, holy shit
Bakugo haters: „I’ll never forgive Bakugo until he actually apologizes to Deku“
Bakugo: „I’m sorry for everything I did to you, Izuku“
Bakugo haters: „wait that’s illegal!?“
That scene though, with the imagery of Bakugo and Deku going through their entire childhood in different stages of school, is still one of my favorites in the entire story. There is so much power behind that it just had me almost bawling
I remember that manga cover as grown up bakugo reaching out for kid midorya's hand in the river .. that was a great cover
It’s crazy that there are even still Bakugo hater I forgave him hella long ago
@@kyletrosper8953 it’s crazy cause deku forgave him so why do these people hate em or need to forgive him when he did none to them 🤔
@@Jonsnowsbigtoe cause people are weird and project there own trauma onto these characters I mean it has to be that cause there no other reason I could think of🤷♂️
@@ANabih-uo3zy ooh it was
The whole episode is emotional. When You Say Run started...the dam broke. Couldn't hold the tears back anymore. Masterclass episode.
Bakugo really is a runner-up for one of the best characters in the show
Yeah Bakugo really impressed me this episodes. He is gunning for Endeavors spot as best character in my opinion
@@sirvictorgreenblade9469can't argue, but that's a crazy top two. 😆
His character growth is truly somethin.
The call backs for this episode had me in tears
I loved how Deku mentioned how danger sense didn't go off once non of them were actually trying to hurt him which was dope
This whole episode just felt like
"Look what they need to mimic even a fraction of our power"
And that was barely. They took more than 10 people with their quirks, prep time and teamwork, and barely stopped an exhausted Deku who wasn't even trying to fight back for real.
I didn’t think they’d be able to pull more tears out of me as a manga reader and Bones decided to do an onion genocide this episode
Lida...
Bakugo wanting Iida to grab Izukus hand is a parallel to Izukus wanting kirishima to reach out to bakugo
Deku is so fast it literally took a train track to launch off of, Todo to blast Baku and Baku to blast Ilda, who was already using his ultimate ability ALL just to catch Deku. Like it took multiple people to do a chain reaction to boost someone to catch him holy moley.
"HE BOUT TO GO BACK IN TIME" 😭😭😭😭😭
Really awesome tone where it's dark but still feels true to the series' themes of friendship and heroism.
Though some also didn't like that and wanted things to always be more gritty and stray away from the original core of the series.
It’s insane that the majority of Izuku’s classmates either recall the moments they spent together, worry about his well-being, or influenced in a way that they took to heart and my favorite ones are: Ilda remembering his words of “meddling when you don’t need to is the essence of a hero” during their encounter with Stain, Jiro appreciating Izuku’s note taking skills to help her out with during their time preparing the band for the school festival, Shoji remembering that team up back at Summer Camp that can rival All Might, Kaminari wanting him to take a shower plus rest, Mina saying she doesn’t want anyone else to leave so that they can attend classes again, and then there’s freaking Bakugo stepping up to atone for him bullying Izuku by apologizing not just to him, but to all of Class 1-A to show that he swallowed his pride that one time…
I ended up tearing up when I watched this heartbreaking moment…! It’s a shame that there’s only 2 episodes left because THIS SEASON WAS LIT!! 🤩🤩
6:37 I HATE YOU LUPA🤣🤣
Lots of reactors have been missing the fact and weight of Bakugo called Deku by his government name, “Izuku” rather than just “Deku”
If you said that without context i would not have gotton that LOL
Bro he had me dying right there lol
This wasn't improvised, this was a 4D reverse Uno card using everything Deku ever taught them
Love how the whole class was needed in order to catch up to weaken deku 💀
First of all, the "traintracks on ice" maneuver was a call back to when they saved Bakugo from the League. Including the fake out of instead of Deku reaching out to Bakugo, Kirishima was sent to do that instead. This time it was Bakugo sending Iida.
Also when this chapter came out, "Mineta being Bi" was actually trending because his choice of words to Deku could be interpreted as a love confession (or at least, the translation was). It was hilarious.
If You Say Run starts playing, you know someone is about to pop off
“This is the last time we talked” flashback with Tail guy killed me 💀💀
Even after all that whole rescue mission and apology, Deku still not really feeling okay to stay at UA as he said.
@@raec5426 if you noticed, before he became an angry birds slingshot, the second he heard her voice he hesitated to rocket off
@LEGO Lord Yep, I noticed that too. Next episode we'll see how Uraraka will impact Deku.
Some Eri parallels, just because you have physically saved someone doesn't always mean you've saved their heart or mind
Shoto with that ice wall gave me the same energy of Batman beating the shit out of thugs and saying "NOW TALK!"
Loved Bakugou's apology, and the acknowledgement of his past mistakes! The VA's, the music, the visuals all amazing!!! :D
Lupa with the "Aye fuck em up!" had me crying🤣🤣🤣2:36
Congratulations to the boy for bringing our main character back to the light
Well tbh, Deku felt everyone's feelings, but still mentioned he didn't want to stay after all that when they brought him to UA. He hasn't fully changed his mind yet.
@@raec5426 until next episode right?
@@raec5426 but I can still give props though right?
@Joshua Hackshaw Of course. Next episode Uraraka will play her part that the chain was linked by the efforts of the others, like she said with Iida and Bakugo.
I'm just saying I wouldn't say Deku is brought back to light here yet, but the team effort as class did get Deku to apologize that they could at least reach him to catch up.
@@raec5426 yeah that’s true
Present Mic having a megaphone is actually a really good detaile since he isn't going to use his quirk that could hur the civillians.
I really like that it was Iida that grabbed him during that crazy scene. Ppl seem to leave him out a lot when talking about Dekus closest friends but he's definently all the way up there with Uraraka, and their friendship is one of many things I love about the show. Bakugo giving him that bit of recognition during that scene I think is rly cool too
That shot when ida catched midoriya? Beautiful, I was tearing up when I first watched it lol
Ida was clearly going faster the Midoria. Was anyone else expecting Ida to just leave with Deku’s arm 😂
Roshi sees Lupa on tv and texts him
R:“have you showered?”
L:“Nah”
R:“You should”
Bruh, how am I supposed to read when my eyes are completely soaked?
“You say run” is THE BEST power of friendship saves the day song💪🏾🔥
This episode made Lupa-san speechless and cry. Bruh, episode of the year so far.
The writer Horikoshi stated that Present mic was using a megaphone because of how delicate the situation was. everyone on edge, scared.
He thought yelling with his quirk was inappropriate.
Bro on the right is the only one shedding some tears during this.
It’s all good, we all did too.
Todoroki sounds like he about to start a rumbling (erens VA)
Clean.
The fact that Bakugo's apology got Lupa all emotional, really means something.
"Who saves the weak from the man who saves weak" - Monsoon The Winds Of Destruction
I was really focused on the whole sequence but when Kaminari told Izuku to bath, it broke me and I started to laugh 😂
Bro when I first watched the scene with Iida blitzing to Deku, I cried like a bitch.. Rewatching it again with these guys made me gasp for air laughing 💀💀
DEKU : uses 45% of his power just to run away (not fight)
Class A : Uses the power of flash backs to go Plus Ultra and catch up to him
DEKU : Look at what they have to do to mimic a fraction of my power
To surpass Deku's speed: Recipro Boost + Recipro Turbo + Explosive Speed Turbo + Cluster + Flashfire Heatwave + Zero Gravity + etc.
As a Fairy Tail anime watcher & manga reader, I refer to this phenomenon as “Nakama power” 😂
no ones gonna talk about how this is all happening while raining and there's bakugo apologizing to deku 🤧
Lupa’s scream 😭😭🤣🤣
Damn Deku really took a header into an ice wall no wonder he was out cold afterwards
The whole "creating icebridge to catch someone in the sky" and "i'll let him save you because i dont think i'm worthy for it" is a call back to when deku's tried to save deku! Both were in kamino too.
It took that much to catch Deku when Deku was exhausted, imagine if he had all his energy/stamina when they tried to catch him.
They almost made me cry with that catch up scene and a real apology from our boy Katsuki, crazy.
damn they hit deku with a 20 man talk no jutsu combo
Deku: You can't keep up
Iida: I'mma give you a head start before I shoot past you
In every video I’ve seen of this reaction everyone says the same thing “Bakugo only one that can catch up to him.” Bro the disrespect to Deku even now amazes me. Bakugo is strong but to compare him to Deku at this point is just pure insanity. But I get it since Bakugo is a fan favorite which is weird because he was a legit bully. It shows a lot about our society lol
“He hit Deku with Deku” 😂😂 YES
"He about to go back in time" I'm ded 😂😂😂
I waited 3 days to see Lupasan's reaction to "just take a bath"
It's also nice to remember: when they went to save bakugo deku said it wouldn't be a good idea if he was the one to offer his hand - so he let kirishima do it. Now in this ep bakugo does the same with letting ida talk first
When the quiet kid wants revenge Lmao
Broo when they told deku to take a shower i immediately thought of Lupa lol
7:54 he wasn't, hearing about what Midoria did on tv helped him to regain confidence in himself after he saw Makia and couldn't do anything(flashback with him and Mina from season 4)
Definitely my favorite episode so far. Bakugo's apology was the best but I like how all his friends, whether big or small were from the heart. Deku really made a impact on them.
"Imma flex and bust outta here" is an underrated sidebar. 😅 And guess what he did
Class 1-A's attacks weren't improv, you know they put some formations together before hand.
Yeah, even when I want to get right to the reaction, I have to watch the intro first! It's so good!
I remember reading this and loving it and I'm blown away with the anime doing this whole sequence justice. Absolute peek.
