Thats funny, I wish my baby got it later on but she was very early, she got hers at 8 months, im like I know what your body says but im dad and you’re too young 😂😅 she wasnt even concerned with it, too young, shes literally innocent.

Athena is almost 8 months, has not gone in heat yet, been anticipating any time now, so great tip on shedding that its a sign she is getting near.
I dont plan on breeding Athena, but I want her to have two heats before she is spay so she develops properly.
But then again, if Sarge was closer by, I would consider one litter from Athena, she is a gorgeous GSD.
Extremely smart, near perfect conformation, a loyal and a sweet female GSD in all aspects.
She is a alpha bitch, but not female aggersive, she would be the young female, in a pack that would take over as the matriarch when the time came for her turn.

My female GSD Duchess just started her first heat a couple days ago. She is only 7mths 1 week old. This seems early to me. She was dropping blood here and there the first day I noticed it but now not so much. Will she have a normal heat at 9mths old or will it be 6mths before it comes again?

They'll stand on their own, usually at 3 months they should be fully up and stay up. You can use nasal strips in clean ears to help support them while they grow. Try not to touch ears till much, that can disrupt cartilage growth.

Our puppy is 9 months and I think her first heat cycle is imminent. Her behaviour has changed, she’s not very interested in food suddenly. Her recall coming into the house when she’s called has turned into running away game. She’s standoffish and distant. No bleeding yet, but the personality change makes me think it’s just starting to

Can you breed a German shepherd her second heat cycle?
The AKC guidelines say you can, but I want to know the hips are x-rayed and approved by someone that is professional in that area before I breed. GSM

Hi. With every female ovulating different times, what are the signs to look out for so I don't miss the window? Is it just lighter/ pink discharge then within the next 4 to 5 days after she will ready for the male. Thanks
Technically the LH (luteinizing hormone) peak is the key to look for, but most Vets are not set up to do the testing in time to know. I look for the progesterone hormone level to elevate to 6-8 or 9 to know to be breeding every other day for the next 5 days at that point. You asked a VERY technical question, a GREAT question, and it's really impossible to fully answer in this post. Hello I am trying to breed my akc german and have a current stud from a fellow friend. For a couple weeks now nothing has happened. No mating. May 6th was when we first noticed a drop of blood. Since may 12th the stud has been dropped off at our place and its May 23 and no action. I am not sure what happened but I'm wondering if the heat is gone and possibility of her getting pregnant is lost. She also had tried to hump the stud and had some minor discharge a couple days ago, but interest in both have seem to have faded. For a while the male was all over her bottom but she did not like it when he tried to mount. Any suggestions? Did we miss the window or is she not in heat just yet? She is 2.5 years old 4th period. 1st time attempting to breed her.

Too young in my opinion. I would say to get his hips and elbows x-rays done and looked at by a Vet bone professional FIRST...the female also.

Anybody plz. My dog i believe maybe be ethier becoming aggressive or is in a dominance battle. He is a year and 7 months GSD. Nicest dog ever til we moved into a new place wit two roomates in june. He lives with a pit mix female they get along great no problems.
Since moving in he has attacked the same puppy twice one time not his fault the dog was in the house not with my consent. And his childhood friend rott. The puppy incident was straight for the jugular and i called him off and he stopped. The rott was at the dog park. They battled back and fourth until the rott no longer wanted any part of apollo anymore. Recently he has started to growl at my roomate. Only person he has ever growled at. If my roommate looks at him in the eyes he growls. We send him home (cage) he goes growling still. I tell him no and leave him there for some time. ANYBODY PLZ HELP ME ! Idk what to do. He is being neutered soon just because we wanted to avoid health stuff and growth stunt. I will almost do anything to prevent him from hurting anyone.
