Hey john you should do a video on potting pups please! I have the hardest time and it seems to take the longest out of everything the pup needs to complete. If it takes an hour to potty a litter and they need to eat about every two hours it can become very overwhelming for some. Thanks guys and live the videos they have helped me so much this last year couple years I have been watching you!

Oh this was so helpful, I just took a re-home girl, a yr old back in Nov. 2 weeks after she arrived she went into heat... here we are in Feb and she's still going. Finishing up I think, my male has lost interest. Had no intention of breeding just concerned about my little girl. She's a English mastiff, as well as my boy. I'm being told to have her fixed. I'd rather keep her natural If at all possible.

@@maksicepele3651 firstly give her suppliments rich in Omega 3 and Vit B12. Then if u have any other female and she is in heat then try to keep ur female with other female which is in heat. It helped me most of the time
4 test done and my female standard poodle is on 13th day on heat and she’s at 9.25 💔 she’s definitely taking her time

My pup went into her first heat in June 15,2020 very light cycle. In July 03 I got a Male pup. She is now again in her heat is what the vet said. Vet said since he valvula is swollen and male licks it means she’s on her heat he said it was a split heat. My female is bare 9 months

Hello I have read online to not swim a female while she is in heat at what point through the cycle should she be okay to swim again?
My new puppy is a Lab/Golden Retriever mix and she’s big for her age in fact the Vet was surprised at how much she weighed for her first shots and said she was 7 pounds bigger than other puppies at that age. She’s been gaining about 2-3 pounds a week and I can tell that she’s going to be a large dog. She looks just like a Yellow Lab. She’s 4 1/2 months and this last week, she’s starting to emit a strong smell of like fish/urine and it’s horrible. I gave her a bath yesterday and all was well until 24 hours later and suddenly got a whiff of that awful smell again. She’s licking her private area with intensity lately and it looks a little swollen. Is she too young to go in to heat or is this a precursor of her body starting to change? She’s about 50 pounds already and has had her Rabies vaccine a couple weeks ago. Only other thing I could think of was that her anal glands are full. I tried to empty them after watching a video but I don’t think I was in the right spot and didn’t want to keep messing around with her and will try to check again in a couple of days but this smell is really strong and not really pleasant. I’ve got blankets on my chair and couch just in case. Thanks for the information. It’s been a long time since I’ve had a new female puppy and I needed a refresher on the heat cycle.

I wish I had seen this video earlier! I think I bred my Australian Shepherd too early. She stopped bleeding around day 7 so we bred her days 8, 9, 10. Then days 11-13 she started bleeding again. 14-16 no bleeding and vulva shrinking. I still hope she's pregnant but now I have my doubts. She's 18 months old and that was her 2nd heat.

Is it possible that my dog had her first heat already, when there was no blood or blood tinted discharge, or swelling? My puppy went through a phase of discharge, opaque white with a hint of yellow. I did not notice any swelling, possibly a little. That is now gone, and she is now 9 months. She is a cane corso.
She had this phase around 6 months old, for about a month. Then, not until about 8 months old, our male dog (not neutered) has been more and more all over her, sniffing and licking, and even tried to hump her.
Possible first heat never really got going and next is more pronounced.

@@smoke5635 fasho! I tried AI day 12 and she damn near bite me lol tied her down and everything some was telling me it wasn’t time even on day 12. She’s a very dominant, young, unsocialized dog. Came Day 14 and she let the dog mount and got stuck! I guess she wasn’t ready yet but she a tell you fasho
