    I haven't skated in years and I think your grapevine was awesome bro. That wasn't even a thing back in my day but I'm not too old to go back on ice, still very agile and a good level of fitness. 😊👍🏿

    FINALLLY... I GOT IT!! 😄😄 I've wanted to do this for years but I've just never been able to do the last part when your leg comes back across but after watching this video I made sense of it and can do it now! So happy! Now I just need to work on keeping up the speed as I cant really keep the momentum going. The part from 3:37 onwards is gold and nobody explained this better than you guys did. This is what finally unlocked it for me !

I just wish more people saw our stuff so we could help more people but I’m very happy you’ve found it helpful 😊in regards to the momentum you’ll get that with practice it’s mostly coming from the hips and the twist so the more comfortable you get with it the easier it will be . Good luck

      I think your referring to the footwork section that looks a lot like I front facing caterpillar (a section of DNA done many times ) it's shown at 7:03 I'm this video but there's a rotation in between the footwork. I'm certain I can help with this is a link to my personal ig where I do a sequence similar to this have a look at the video And see if this is or close to what your after and IL make a tutorial for you on it thank you so much for your kind words. Hey that's a really good tutorial. I especially like how you describe the steps to learn it with other moves like the eagle. However one thing I'm still not clear on is whether the angle at which you rotate your foot in the second half is important in keeping your momentum or whether the hip movement is solely responsible for that.

    • @endeavourfreestylers4675
      @endeavourfreestylers4675  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If your right footed as you pull the right back for the left to rotate the right simply keeps the same angle and goes round using the hips momentum the angle should stay the same so it looks like a smooth circular motion . Thank you for asking if you found this and the tutorial helpful please like and subscribe so we can grow like I say it helps us so so much

    Thanks for posting useful content on your channel. All your tutorials are helping me. One thing that is not clear to me about the grapevine is where to put my weight on my feet at each step. What parts I should be focusing more weight on say my left foot and where should the weight be? Should it be on my toes or heel?

    • @endeavourfreestylers4675
      @endeavourfreestylers4675  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Sam thanks for the comment the weight typically shifts so on the first cross going forward I have it on the left foot then on the transition from front to back the weight stays on the left whilst the right almost steers and acts like a rudder then on the transition from back to forward the weight switches to the right as the right leg over takes the left and pushes past . Basically any leg that power goes through takes the weight that’s how power is transferred to the ice because the weight and pushing power is on that leg as for on the skate where is the weight rocker wise it’s personal preference but typically on any turning point where there is no weight on the leg it goes towards the toe but for me it’s mainly at the front half anyway but if whatever you have works id stick with it as many people do it differently as you saw at the end when I give a few examples after bens demonstrating there are different add ons and variants so the best thing I recommend is play around with and have fun and make it your own . Thank you very much for watching and your support I hope this answers your question if you find our content helpful please leave it a like and let us know what you want to see next and subscribe and if you have a few mins share with other skaters so it gets out there . But yeah thank you for your support and good luck with it .👍👊🏻🤞🏻

    Hey, Great vid! What tblade numbers are you using? I am wearing a S-11 and dont know how good they are for Casual freestyling

    • @endeavourfreestylers4675
      @endeavourfreestylers4675  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Peter here I at the moment don't use t blades I'm the one who's doing the examples and talking towards the end. myself and Ben are the captains Ben is the man in tblades I believe he uses m-15 but I'm not 100% sure on that . As for what's best . That's entirely down to personal preference I know a lot of Freestylers use s -9 or s -11 as it allows for more grip and tighter turning but really it's down to personal preference t-blades may not even be the best thing for some it's dependant on what the individual prefers . Neither t blade or hockey skate is better they're just different it's the skater and their ability that really makes the difference . As for the rocker size and hollow radius it's as I say personal preference those specs sound good as they allow for a lot of grip and sharp turning which can be useful in freestyle, if you wanted a better gliding skate for speed a m or longer and 15 or higher would be better but it depends on your style and what you'd use them for . My guess is you'll be focusing mainly on footwork at the moment as you've watched this video and as there can be some tight turns and sudden changes of direction I'd say what you've got is fine for your skating. I hope this answers your question thank you so much for asking we like to be able to help people if you have any other queries please ask and if you found this video helpful please leave a like share and check out the other videos as it helps us a lot . Many thanks Peter

    Hiya guys the only problem I have when trying to attempt the grapevine is, I have no flexibility in my hips, like, I can do the 1st and 2jd parts but the last part I am still struggling with. Can you please help, I can do the half lemon going forward and transitioning to the back crossover, then I am stuck after that. Any help would be duely noted 🙂👍

    • @endeavourfreestylers4675
      @endeavourfreestylers4675  4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      My first piece of advice is instead of saying you have no hip flexibility is to try to increase it and practice it beceause if you genuinely dont have it for any reason it can be crucial to a lot of movements and sadly saying you have no hip flexebility wont help you to achieve your goals only hard work and practice will however I'm certain if you work on this you can achieve it . All it will take is a few dedicated weeks of stretching the right muscles to get used to it and doing dynamic stretches to increase the range of motion I have absolute faith you will be fine after this so dont panic if your still not go on our instagram dm us and il help assist you further in this regard . However in your case here my first thought would be that your hip flexibility is fine but your not used to doing the movement it's called muscle memory so the more you practice it the better it gets . The reason I think your hip flexibility is ok is because the part that actually requires the most hip flexibility you have already done the part that requires it the most is the transition from front to back in regards to the section you are stuck on try pulling the right leg back from the knee to pull the left leg round and then push as you can with your right to get it forwards. It's a hard one to get and your not alone in struggling with this so dont panic I'm confident hou will get this I hope this helps good luck with this 😊
