    Not only is this device very cool, even though I'll probably never have use for one and never make it, but your presentation of it is cool too. Very much enjoy your vids. I watch you, Jekyll baits, and Marling baits on a steady rotating basis. Between the three of you I have my steady supply of informative entertainment. Thanks.

    I had all this concepts like 30 years ago when I was into fishing, and making my own fishing lures. I went in a different direction and kinda got away from it. Lately I am been drawn back to into fishing and and all that. I almost forgot all the joy u get from making and designing your own lures, and ultimately catching fish with them. That how I came across your channel, great videos and so much new stuff and info this days. Back in the day nobody wanted to share any info at all, it was a struggle to find information on just about anything. So keep it up. Just subscribed to your channel..

    I enjoy these videos because it makes me think. A few years back I made a sonic cleaner using an old finish sander for vibration and a voltage control for speed. I connected the sander to the cleaning container using Velcro. If I put Velcro on the bottom of the jars I shouldn't need to build anything. I use rubber jaw protectors in the vice to hold the sander upside down for the cleaner so that should work for powder paint as well. Sometimes that light that comes on above my head gets in my eyes and I can't see where I'm going. I have to build something and try it before I can guarantee the results.

      @@EngineeredAngler That's not to say I didn't learn something. My wife and I have been together 40 years, if I could use a window fan, throw it out of balance, mount it to the underside of the bed... Giddy Up !

    As a designer who's products had to pass military shock and vibration tests I have a good appreciation for how vibration can cause things to disassemble themselves. Think that the vibe table is a great idea! I just checked the "good for something" junk boxes and have all that I need to make one :-) I'll substitute a lamp-dimmer and transformer for the variable voltage power supply. It is (relatively) easy to make something from new raw materials but I really appreciate/admire the skill of someone who can re-purpose "junk" into something useful - besides being practical, it's fun as well! Cheers!

    just stumbled onto your channel and think the vibrating bed is an excellent idea. It got me thinking so I tore through the shed and "fished out" lol one of my old childhood toys - The "electric football" game with the vibrating field and the little plastic players. omg, it worked great. I just taped the bottle to the field for a proof of concept but will make a few minor mods to better secure multiple paint bottles.
    I too am an engineer, well almost, studied AE for years before dropping out and forming my own aircraft business, so I never actually graduated. I'm retired now and spend my time fishing and tinkering with stuff.

    Few questions for you. I want to make a vibe table to hold 3 glass jars. Do you think one motor will work? Also, where did you get the springs?

    • @EngineeredAngler
      @EngineeredAngler  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can only really use one motor because if you went to multiple motors you would have to synchronize them. With three jars you would be fighting some serious inertia so you would need a stronger motor and a heavier weight . I suppose it could be done but it would take some experimenting.

    Can you please suggest which powder paint to use if brand stuff as protec is not available. Mica base powder is working?
    Thanks

    • @EngineeredAngler
      @EngineeredAngler  ปีที่แล้ว

      No mica powders will not work. It must be powdered paint. www.ebay.com/itm/302646102444?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=aJByQ8HoSQC&sssrc=2349624&ssuid=&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY

      Helpful as always!!!!!
      I am going to purchase some, it is my only option available.
      I already tried to jig paint as you show, I built a fluid bad, etc, a specific powder "thermoset" is needed, other kind rated as powder coating for car, iron oxide, mica based, etc, they simply not melt.
      Thanks again for everything I practically never comment but I almost spend everyday with your videos, I really appreciate your work!!!!
