PS I pasted the .pdf text into a .docx Word document, keeping the formatting intact. Then I was able to tweak the formatting in Word and copy /paste into Scrivener. Brilliant and thanks again.
To convert PDF file to word file format, you can use third-party software Kernel for PDF to Word Converter Tool. It can convert large amount of PDF file to word file format.
The easiest way to convert a pdf document to word for editing is to print the document into MS Note, and then cut and paste into Word with margins set at 0":0":0":0" You can then use a text box with no outline and no fill to enter text on document. You can adjust the character size of a blank line to align the text with the document
This is not what I need thank you. I need to scan a document and then save it and it only allows me to save as a bitmap. I have a 500 page book I need to get onto my computer. A manuscript that I lost off my computer. I need to edite it. It will take 12 months for me to type it again.
