Other than myself you are the first person I've heard say they like EMG more than Fishman....im right there with you man....I have a set of Moderns in my Solar and I ripped them out and put a set of EMG's.... I just think it's a more rounded sound rather than the Fishman which is so mid focused....I just think the EMG sounds fuller.
I have to agree with you that ESP is always crushing it hands down!
ESP and Schecter are both awesome.
And both companies are owned by the same guy, Hisatake Shibuya.
I’ve had a EII tb7 on order for over 2yrs. No joke. Still haven’t gotten it yet, and Sweetwater still doesn’t have a time table on when it’s coming either. I ordered it before the prices went up, so they are honoring that price which is why I’m still waiting on it, but I guess EII isnt releasing guitars this year cause they can’t keep up I guess. It’s unreal
Japanese guitar factories in general have problems with keeping up production. Look at Ibanez, no new MIJ Prestige models this year, because Fujigen factory can't keep up. Keep in mind: Fujigen builds guitars only as a side-business and they build guitars also for Fender, Jackson, their own in-house brand FJN Guitars.
Basically, after the 2011 earthquake/tsunami when a couple of big factories were destroyed, the Japanese guitar manufacturing never recovered.
Ibanez & ESP are pushing their Made in Indonesia Premium & LTD models since then and have decreased their MIJ models with every year, ESP also cancelled the ''Standard Series'' and did this idiotic E-II rebranding, because they want to sell more custom shop models, instead of MIJ production guitars.
I’m loving all the baritone options.
the lp junior style thing is awesome, always loved them but not a fan of the wrap around bridges these look awesome as hell with the string thru design, im excited!
The $1099 price tag makes it a hard pass
Im really digging that white EC-01FT Les Paul Jr style! Can’t wait to see all the specs.
I actually gasped when you scrolled down to the Bill Kelliher Shiva. They're finally releasing a production model. The question is if the features/price outweigh the Woodrite stuff 😁
2300/2500
As an avid ESP/LTD user for about 20 years now, I'm not diggin' the switch to Fishmans. Don't get me wrong, they're great but I always associated and will associate ESP with EMGs.
I imagine this is gonna be a temporary thing. Fishman Fluence pickups are the "new" thing now, not saying they're all hype they surely aren't, but many companies are installing them in their guitars right now, just like the Evertune basically.
What i hope is really temporary tho is the obsession with baritone 7 strings.
There seems to be a lack of standard scale 7 string guitars around
EMGs sound pretty bad to me
I'll take the JB over all of em 😅
Love my EMGs in my LTD MH1000 Baritone. I just haven't played any Fishman's that I really loved. Maybe I just haven't met the right guitar. 😂
I tried Fishmans for a while (Moderns and KSE), but ultimately they were replaced by EMGs. The voicing of the Fishmans is really ... not good. Extremely mid-focused and quacky, to a point where it just sounds weird and muddy and you can't dial it out no matter what. And they don't have any of that oomph and growl that you get from EMGs. Massively overhyped IMO.
Pretty solid lineup! The Horizons really caught my eye this year. Stoked to see the E-II models
I have an LTD EC-10 that hangs on the wall in my living room. It plays fricken awesome. I put two P94's in it. Love that guitar. It's my hundred dollar shot caller.
I've got my LTD EC1000B 27" baritone, set of EB het string tuned up? to Drop C and modified the controls to have individual push/pull for each pickup on their Vol instead of just a master switch for Voice 1/2 and a push pull one the tone for stereo out, having the bridge panned Right and neck panned Left and it's all one take, so absolutely in sync with each other, just a super massive tone, plus speeds of recording, or you can post recording switch pickups for each part.
Dude , I laughed when you kida wrote off the first set of 87 guitars lol. That's kinda my thing so I was excited about those lol. Let me put it into perspective, I have an original 1989 Kramer Nightswan Aztec, Kramer Dave Sabo signature, 1996 Hamer Californian, Peavey Vandenberg (off shore edition) EXP and a 2004 Epiphone Zakk Wylde model. All I have are those era type guitars, and a Spector Performer 4 Bass. Just love that era of guitars, I know I'm in the minority here on them, but they definitely stood head and shoulders back in the day, all the guitars were different and unique! Wild paint jobs, crazy specs it was the company's doing whatever they wanted. Love that George Lynch guitar in the lineup too!
Early because you, me and others are all access. To bad we don't have some discounts 😂. Rock on my Dude 🤘🤘🤘
ESP is absolutely my favorite company hands down… I have an $1100 eclipse that feels nicer than a 3000 Gibson les Paul standard.
As a kid, those horizons were absolute monster strats, but you could see people using them live. They can clean up and give you some shimmery cleans, I even saw a guy play a jazz set with one. Really liking this lineup this year.
that XJ guitar is my favourite, it's basically my dream guitar with everything, especially shape and finish
I hate that all of the horizons with the humbucker (that looks like a single pickup) have a floyd rose... Come on! Create a fixed bridge one!
Checked this list right after I watched your Ibby lineup video and I was amazed AND they have a poop ton of baris in the batch (27" tho but I wouldn't mind if I could afford any)
The only one that catch my eye is the Arrow 1007 Evertune, at last an LTD V with 7 strings, but the Evertune break the deal. I'd rather hada It with a TOM or another fixed bridge.
Ray, killer video as always. I think the Mic Thompson will be debuting at NAMM and be uploaded on Friday.
i would really really really want that single humbucker singlecut if those were p90s… i love single pickup guitars since i saw jerry cantrell with that g&l rampage….. come to think of it, i’d love to see that rampage on your channel ;)!!’
I’m kind of bummed that all of the 7-string models are baritone. Not everyone wants to tune to drop Q.
Exciting time at the moment, some of those are looking very tasty.
I’M SO HAPPY ABOUT THE GODDAMN JAZZMASTER SHAPE FUCKING FINALLYYYYYYY
Me and one of my bandmates are absolutely Jazzmaster guys, so we both are DEFINITELY getting an XJ.
FOR YEARS, I have been telling Fender to give the Jim Root a matching headstock. I have also been telling Fender to do a production run of the sandblasted mahogany Jim Root. The LTD XJ might as well be that, so I am all-in.
Also, is that pickguard REAL anodized aluminium, or just textured plastic? I have a real anodized aluminium pickguard on my Squier Classic Vibe Bass VI, so if that is real anodized aluminium, it already matches my aesthetic.
wish the evertune superstrat @ 6:32 with the scalloped frets had 24 frets its the SN-1000 line pretty cool imo, played one at a local shop and feels pretty great as well
The one humbuckers eclipses have peaked my interest😏
Especially the tobacco burst.
Man, the Juniors, the Phoenix... we dig a very similar stuff
This is a hell of a step up from the Ibanez video😂
Ahah !! I was waiting for your thoughts about that new 2024 line-up ...!!!
The M-1001 Charcoal Metallic Satin with 1 Gold Fishman, and the Phoenix 1001 Tobacco Sunburst are my fav !!!
Mick did an interview not that long ago letting it slip that there was something in the works for NAMM btw.
I like they are doing some direct mounted guitars cool for people that do not like pickup rings
I want more TE or viper guitars with some more colors I want an orange or red or blue just something especially like silver burst or some with like the Eclipse tops as a tele and sg fan that would be a dream
7 string baritone LP?!?! That awesome finally someone gives some love to the singlet guys
Oh man ! Some sweet axe's! Being an old bastard I really want that new George Lynch model.
That George Lynch finish is sick.
Time for you to bring on that Arctic Metal you played on tour
One thing I did notice is that second Arrow in black at 02:58 was a baritone 👀 That 7-string baritone Eclipse caught my eye the most. I've been eyeing a Matt Heafy Origin 7-string for a long while but now this Eclipse has me intrigued. I like how the string-thru Charcoal Burst MH model is also direct mounted pickups and not with the pickup rings. If that Phoenix had a second pickup, I'd be all over it 👀
The EC1007 Baritone is hella sick and I'm assuming it's the replacement/upgrade to the EC407B they made a few years ago which now go for lots of money used. I saw one last months on my local marketplace it was like 900 bucks or something but also had a few dings already. Really looking forward to this one!
those snappers look so sick and I love that Jazzmaster
Man I have to eat a lot of Salt to watch your channel!
FAVORITE TIME OF YEAR
I currently play a Ltd EC-50 and it's the best guitar I've ever played. ESP all the way bro.
The LPJ thinhies are dope!
The GH arrow looks sick! Just wish it was a hard tail 🤘🔥🔥🤘
the FL4 bass looks awesome
The bill kelliher models from last year haven't even come out yet for us in Europe and they've already released a new one!
Don’t worry they’re hardly available here in the US
The what you called "red" Horizon at the debut of your video, is a reissue "magenta" reminiscent of Page Hamilton's cult guitar. Maybe you've read once in your life about a band called Helmet?
I have a dread feeling that Mick Thomson signature could be only ESP custom / EII.
When are micks coming out? (i wont be able to afford them whatsoever but im curious) edit 2:20 you read my mind haha
LETS GO NINERS
Lions all the way!
Im sooo grabbing that XJ
Now these look cool! Ibanez take note, lol.
Haha ayeeee
All of Mick's guitars look the same, from brand to brand, aside from his BC Rich Warlock, which I would still love to have. I own Mick's Ibanez model. I would also happily take Joey Jordison's Murderdoll Signature Warlock.
We still got next year bros. 🦅
Aaannndd just like that I need a Phoenix.
I still want the aged white ec1000 from last year. It has a thick body . I was thinking about trading my ec1000 for it but I know how guitar center likes to make money
Edit, you mentioned it lol. Hell yeah
Dude, the '87 Horizons are pretty much the best models from this line-up.
Comparing them with Solar & BC Rich..... 🤦♂
I saw it and was like « oh boy now I need to try not to buy 5 ltd guitars this year »
What’s the deal with 90% of them having reverse headstocks? Am I the only one who doesn’t love that? It’s either that or a Floyd rose that keeps them from being perfect in my eyes. A few more models with regular headstocks and fixed bridges would be chef’s kiss
Have a black LTD 7-string and i f-ing LOVE IT! Its not the most expensive guitar, but it stays in tune like no other guitar I've ever played and its actual sonic value is thru the roof. Makes gorgeous tones. Will never own another brand.
The vintage white ec1000t did come out
Yea.. ESap Baritone always be 27" ... Unless it's custom/signature series
That Pheonix in the thumbnail 🔥🔥🔥🔥
ESP's Phoenix actually looks a lot like Mark Tremonti's completely custom PRS that he designed with Paul.
Would love you see a new will Adler sig model.
Besides the EC-01, I'm a bit disappointed by the lineup. Not Hardware wise but colorwise. I hoped for some crazy colorcbinations that you see with on ESP's IG page all the time.
Bill Kelliher . . . . . . ooooh
Gret presentation !
Some really nice offererings from ESP... Why no maple fretboards? Does every guitar they
put out , have to have an ebony fb? A bit of a tired look.
Playa playa!!!
For me esp is the quintessential metal guitar brand if i could own one i would
Finally! Single cuts with no pickup rings! ...the 7 string has rings... why?
And it is probably safe to say the "baritone" will be semi baritone, at 26.5 scale. But well see.
I'm an EMG guy too but business is business, I guess.
Great preview, I am looking to get a decent 7 string HT any recommendations price range $8oo-$1700 ?
Ltd 1007, Schecter c7 hybrid
Need the XJ-1HT in baritone 7
It's wild how fast Fishman is turning up in damn near everything these days. I like them, don't get me wrong. But, seriously, EMG seems to be vanishing from the retail guitar market. At least, relative to how often they used to be standard equipment a few years ago, I mean.
i dont need another phoenix but i WANT another phoenix
Hopefully they're not gonna be $2k+ for the LTDs like some of the LTD sigs they dropped last year
They really missed the mark there. They needed to name that pheonix "The Nugget."
That Kamikaze immediately caught my eye. If I start saving now I might be able to afford half of one by the end of the year 😂
There are more Kamikazes coming under Edwards brand, so if you have a chance to save up and import from Japan - check those out too, they're bringing back Kamikaze 1, Yellow and Purple Tiger models
@@_fifeusz Love Edwards stuff, gonna have to check ‘em out. Thanks man!
@@TylerJohnstonGuitar there's a demo on Young Guitar's TH-cam channel if you want to check them out, I know I can't wait to one day get the Kami1
Your taste is alarmingly similar to mine😂😂
Gonna make the same comment I always do on ESP videos:
Hisatake-san! If you watch any of these, please buy Dean and give it the love you did Schecter.
I'm very surprised Gideon lets esp make the style of guitars they make
Quiet a few interesting 7 string baritones. Hope at least 27 Inch
what did you think of the sn's?
This reveal did nothing for me personally. The LP junior copy looked kinda neat but the price point was just embarrassing for ESP, that's how a lot of their lineups have been the past few years not a lot of variety at unrealistic price points.
Ummm no love for the TE series??
Ex shape being mistreated...
No BC Rich.... No Charvel. No Jackson.
Guy with beard and hat, "I stand out." As a guy with beard and hat... not really
30’ baritone or go home.
A wise man once said
Gibson is only true rock guitar
All trash imo. Not a single guitar I would buy :/
extremelz boring lineup
Will you be at NAMM this year?
U stand out? U look like every other chad out there.
