They call conservatives or anyone with a shred of patriotism 'fascists.' Then they say "Silence is violence." Then they say "WORDS are violence." And when you sift through all of that, you find what they're REALLY saying is, "Say what we want you to say, or else. Got it??" And you'd be hard pressed to find a more glaring example of fascism than that. They claim to champion the cause of tolerance, yet they are some of the most intolerant people you'll ever meet, if you don't think exactly as they do. They claim to want diversity, but the one thing they DON'T want is diversity of thought. In that arena, they want nothing less then absolute monolithic, group think, hive mind mentality. Anything other than that is considered "Far right" to a party who has no moral compass. Absolutely pedantic, infantile, morally vacant, venal, mendacious, and hypocritical to the core.
Loving Victor Hanson's statement: "the Constitution is the center." Far too many do not know about the principal document of Law in the United States.
VDH is simply the best.
I see the center as not standing for anything. I am right wing and I stand for God and the Constitution. VDH's definition doesn't fit what I believe at all.

Victor Davis Hanson is an extremely intelligent person and it would be an honor to learn from him in a classroom.
Heck, I'm too old to be in a classroom but I still learn a lot from him.
You can learn from him online for free - go to Hillsdale College. He does a class on the Second World Wars.
He should head up the state department in the new administration. We need to get Desantis as POTUS, & Nikki Haley as VP!! Have trump as economic adviser. Etc.

I'm proud to be considered far right. I believe in God and life begins at conception. I believe the Second Amendment was put at #2 to protect the First Amendment. I believe the government is to big and needs to be scaled back. I'm such a terrible person in some peoples eye's but that is their problem not mine.

Left and Right have always been somewhat muddled concepts. The fundamental is individualism vs collectivism. Almost all ideologies are collectivist to some extent. Conservatism is mostly individualist with elements of collectivism. The only pure individualist ideology is classical liberalism and its derivatives, libertarianism and Objectivism (Ayn Rand).
Socialism, Communism, Fascism, Nazism, Islamic Totalitarianism... are all pure collectivist.

Is about parenting. Parents are not raising their children anymore, most of them use baby-sitters. I never missed any teacher parent meetings and half of the parents never attended any of the school meetings and guess what ? The children of those parents were the ones with issues or what teachers called problematic. These children will follow anything and everything for a sense of belonging.

One rule of thumb: If a politician is described by the media as center-left or middle-of-the-road, then you immediately know that he or she is somewhere to the left of Marx and Engels.

VDH always makes sense and has such a wide breadth of knowledge I stay tuned in for over 25 years now.

The great, Victor Davis Hanson, who inspired me in my mid-60's to embark on a quest to get myself some semblance of a classical liberal education, though a high school ed tradesman all my life.
I've taken free online courses at Hillsdale, done a lot of viewing at the Hoover Insti on the Tube, listened to speaches and panel discussion on mostly conservative venues, and read great books i.e., The Gulag and numerus others.
Recommend Hoover, Heritage, Hillsdale Col, to all. Great venues for higher learning ... and there are many more.

Actually, I've come to the conclusion, when someone s referred to as "RIGHT" they are basically saying they are "CORRECT".
When we have lost confidence in the unalienable rights underscored by the Constitution and the spirit of this we have lost. Losing the center means we lose all boundaries - male/female, good/evil, left/right, borders/no borders, devil/angel.
