My local county road department used to have a pair of those they used when pulling ditches on dirt roads. They'd follow the graders and pick up all the trash and stuff that the graders pulled out of the ditches, then dump it somewhere off the road.
I think a milk crate would work as a passenger seat for Aaron. As a bonus, his feet would touch the floor...

Komatsu parts are expensive, but you don't buy many because they are an awesome machine, ran a 355 dozer for about 15 years and was impressed, ran 450 diggers and was also blown away by the fact that they are so under rated from the factory!
I like the new beginning. Putting family first is a must for anyone. I know it is especially hard for self-employed guys. Ya gotta make hay when the sun is shining. You will never regret going to that ball game, baton recital or PTA meeting with your wife.
Clinton did you a favor on the Mack you were looking at, good friends are hard to find. Keep looking Mike you'll find your dream truck. Keep up the good work Mike!

If you get a fire big enough so it gets hot enough NORAD can notice it and send out local law enforcement to check on the source. The heat signature can temporarily mimic launch signature. Accidentally having metal in the fire catch fire can contribute to those high heat signatures. Be careful out there.
I you could take a picture of that pattern were what giraffe has beyond certain s**** and all that then you can take it out to CNC and have them to print you off a little one that you can put on your window so you don't know what was going on

My cents, scrapers are best for road building if using one. But if the company has multiple machines, then road building & mass material moving. Or used in place of a dump truck.
Why get a seat for Aaron? He should be able to stand there and not hit his head! lol...
You need a seat before you can add a booster seat for Aaron.
Patience comes a long way. As long as the C8500 still runs you have time to search for the right truck.
Hey Mike, Speaking of building ponds with scrappers. Last fall north of you in Jennings Co, in the country a couple of miles south of Scipio they built a pond in a flat field using two pull scrappers with International 4 wheel drive tractors. It was no quick job though.
What you do is you buy really really good driver seat and just move the old driver's seat over to the passionate side and that way you'll have a nice air ride comfortable seat
My son and I are looking for a Chevy one ton dump truck and the prices they're asking for those wrecks are absolutely ridiculous.

You really should consider a tracked dump truck, considering all the mud pits you keep getting yourself into.
DP all these excavators at auction does it represent new machinery sales are of the dial or is this companies downsizing ,sitting back here in Australia the size of these auctions is mind blowing ,really enjoyed the walk around

25 years messing around (employed) at a sawmill. If you want to get it done in mud snow and dust , (log truck) it's hard to beat a MACK. You should not be looking at dozers without jerry,, hehe,, in

I noticed you didn’t check out the motor graders, I myself spend about 80percent of my time at work in one, I like Cat when it comes to a blade though, I love going to the equipment auctions.
When you are looking at those really big dozers, my thoughts are... What could Gerry do with THAT?! He piles brush with a 850 as high as you do with the 210 excavator... That's what I want to see.. Gerry on a really big boy. (maybe when Clint has one on hand, loan it to you once for a good test run with Gerry giving it a workout.. )
That red truck with the cylinders in the rear of the bed you would think that would be really hard to lift being they are that far back maybe I’m not thinking about it right but to me it looks wrong lol 😂 thanks for sharing

I think Wade needs that Taylor forklift for the mill. He might take the whole place down with it though 😂 you usually see them at rail yards moving containers around.
Mike you for sure don't need a push type scraper pan. If you even wanted one you'd definitely want one that has the paddles. I call them all pans and paddle pan for the ones with paddles. Mike I don't need to explain to you why you would need one with paddles but I'll explain for anyone else that doesn't know. With a pan that doesn't have the paddles, 90% of the time you have to push it with a dozer to get it loaded. Paddle pans have paddles mounted to two chains that spin and grab the dirt and pull it into the pan as you cut it so its self loading, so 90% of the time it doesn't need to be pushed by a dozer. The company I worked for had a early to mid 1990s Cat 613 paddle pan. Only thing I didn't like about it was if you got the pan unlevel while cutting and running the paddles, the chains and paddles would jump off the idle pulleys at the top where they turned to come back around. If you caught it fast enough you could reverse them and get them back on easily. If you didn't catch it in time and that didn't work you'd spend a good while trying to pry and push them back on. Learned real quick not to run them off all the way. Mike doesn't make deep enough cuts and at the same time have a long way to transport the dirt cut out. That's what pans are for. Making deep long cuts that then requires the dirt to be moved a long distance. They will work good for large deep ponds that have really long dams yes but Mike or Chris either one don't do enough ponds like that to justify having a pan for the occasional one that may come along. Even with large deep cuts, track hoes and offroad dump trucks are just as fast as pans if not faster now. All depends on the job at hand. 👍
So the hyd lift cylinder is missing a stage. Swap for the right cylinder. Looks easy for you and MBTS to rebuild and install one from a salvage yard and fix the dump body dents.

That sure was a nice truck you were looking at, in pretty good shape considering it has done nearly 2 million miles. Seeing Chris on that digger was funny, even had him confused. I see what Mrs & Mr C&C are trying to do, next Mr C&C will be off loading that roller he says he didn't bid on! 😂🤣🤣

Come on now. Ole Clint is just trying to save you from spending tens of thousands of dollars and wasting his time. By having to repair your stuff at his shop.
Mike just ask Chris about running a long reach all day him and his uncle have picked themselves up an long reach for there pond dredging operation
We had a scraper that got used 3 or 4 times in 20 years. It was great for stripping topsoil but sucked once you hit hardpan. Overall for pond building, it was a to costly. It did really shine leveling large fields/lots though.
Its not that you can't afford to move the big machinery around, its that your current level of customers are not in a price point where you can charge and earn enough to sustain that level of equipment.

and the two yello baby buttons on shifter u shift gears I drive a new 775 at my rock quarry
Scrapers are best left to California dirt, its nice dry and hard,scrapers best friend, but mud and clay nope keep that stuff

i ran 1 of those in the army more in 1 day on the highway than i ever did in the dirty was fresh out of training and they threw me in 1 to drive back to the reserve center 40 miles from a jobs asked the sgt how did i do he said great minus the 4 mailboxes and 1 culvert u crushed.

DP that Taylor fork truck is a 50 ton. They are commonly used at steel mills. I've seen one operate at Tamco Steel in Fontana California. They made rebar of all sizes. God bless

This may be a dumb question but why does the exhaust heat the bed on a haul truck? Is it so wet loads dont freeze to it ? Thanks DP , I love the auction videos.

mike what was the forks on the center of rear bumper? all of our trucks at abf are single seaters so that truck doesn't look unusual to me at all.
