I was thinking about this today, too. I agree that Jin Sakai is not necessarily finished as a stand alone character. It’s very possible that he will appear in not just one, but two mythic tales. One would certainly be from his Tsushima days, but the other might be a teaser for another stand alone game or another dlc for GoT. At the end, Jin and Shimura help push the cart out of the mud and the man mentions that the Ghost intends to go to the Mongol homeland. This could be the basis of a second mythic tale and another storyline for him. Perhaps, we will eventually pick up Jin and Yuna 20 years down the road accompanied by their son, heir to the Ghost legend.
No it is not. The game now is a franchise where every game is new story and new protagonist. We may get a spin off with Jin but mainline ghost games will be new story and new protagonist: they just said that.
Considering the movement of revolt the ghost caused in the first game, maybe we'll remnants of people following in the footsteps of the ghost and his philosophy, similar to the brotherhood from the AC franchise
So they built a totally new game off the demand of Jin and are upset that people are mad because they didn’t get what their demand was calling for ? Got it

im pretty sure they'll make a sequel for jin. they can still do so much with him. i think ghost of yotei is just a spin off.
