Angelo Di Chello is one of my miniatures heroes since I first started in 2004. I had the pleasure to attend a short paint masterclass about true metallics with him in my local GW Store. Not only it was a really formative experience paintingwise, he's also one of the most sweet and funny guys I ever met.
As a painter who only uses TMM, this is such a great video to give new perspectives on how to paint it. Also I’m sitting here feeling very pleased that I literally bought a bottle of VMA Silver for the first time last night! Can’t wait to try it!
Dude your videos are great. I only just got back into this hobby after many years of being away and I have been bingeing on painting vids, I have to say yours are my favourite by far.
I'm planning on doing Silver Templars for 10th edition Warhammer, and having tips on metallic is going to help a lot. As always, I love your work and your contrast marines and slaves to darkness has helped me improve my work a lot!
This is the best looking "New" Dante out there. What a great display of the range of light and shadow using metallics. And...maybe even I can get something like this look reasonable!
I used this process to paint Sigvald and it worked really well. Your explanations around the purpose for each layer helped tremendously since Sigvald is positioned differently than Dante. I can take what you taught into other parts of the project and other models. I prefer TMM, and your video is excellent (and I watched quite a few). Thank you!!
He is resplendent! A radiant golden angel descending from the heavens to vanquish the foes of man! Dante looks great in TMM. The choice to go into green is a great one. It keeps him grounded compared to just going for a yellow gold. Also great to see some Scale75 metallics. Those are some beautiful paints.
Juan, Wow, I mean WOW. I think this is wonderful! I have never learned so much about painting metal colors. Juan you are a God send for my motivation. I have been away from miniatures painting for a while. Now I want to get back into it. You have given me a shot in the arm of motivation. Hooray, hooray. Thank you very much for what you do.
I think gold TMM is such a fun "color" to work with. There are so many interesting options when you move beyond Retributor Gold + Reikland Fleshshade. There's so much we can do with it. Glazing in purples, blues or greens for shading really makes the gold interesting / "pop" compared to just using a darker shade of the same hue and adding really bright silvery highlights can give it that eye-catchingly alluring lustre. Also, the different types of gold and finishes is also a lot of fun to experiment with - eg. red, white, "old", tarnished gold etc.
I used different colors but same philosophy for my WE Brass! I'm honestly surprised this is a topic that isn't commonly shared! Thanks for sharing with the people Juan!! Always love your content as always

Amazing job only thing i would recommend which im sure alot of us would agree try to use 1 paint product line. I understand for someone of your skill you have your preferences but us the students dont have this massive range of paints
