You know, Innistrad was probably a set that had a lot of impact in Vintage. Maybe? I mean...most of the Eldrazi were in Zendikar block. So I'm not sure. Nope, only Thing in the Ice had any Vintage points. Still. Do Top 10 Vintage Cards (Minus Power 9).
Anything Innistrad related is going to be one of my favorites. It also seems like they make standard more fun. Recent sets have been like, three decks running over everyone else, and they're usually a braindead aggro deck. I feel like Innistrad had a more deliberate feel to it.
I do hate that I missed return to Innistrad during the time I quit magic (khans to M19)... Inistrad is easily my favorite set that also is what started me off in deckbuilding and truly understanding how to play the game. This block was super cool and the lore was amazing (plus it being packed to the brim with powerful cards for every format is nothing to scaf at)
I honestly make fun of tireless tracker more than any other card. Honestly, in every deck its in 95% of the time you would rather see them cast tireless tracker over any other part of the deck. Maybe if its your opponents first topdeck on turn 8 and you're also topdecking in a deck with no removal is tireless tracker a threat.
Awesome video, tracker is still broken as heck!!! In jund with wrenn and six you grab a fetch land play and crack make 2 clues plus wrenn and six get said fetch land back. Rinse and repeat each turn for more and more clues to pop late game and just out grind out
Do you think you’ll ever include pauper in your point system? I understand if its hard to measure but cards like thraben inspector really make me wonder what the results would look like otherwise.
Yeah, when you made that comment I realized that more recent GPs don't show up as "major" on mtgtop8 for some reason, so I have to look a little more carefully now
Just saying, Thing in the Ice runs well with mill seeing as mill is very, very focused on Instants and Sorceries. I really hope it will see more play there.
I mean it's ok? But do you want to include it over a mill card, the board whipe is great, but is slow considering you're not going to cast more than 2 instants and sorceries a turn. Probably 1, and then it's not flipping soon enough

They'll probably go back whenever it's time to bring the Eldrazi out again, right? I guess they could do a whole "yeah, so Emrakul broke out of the moon off camera and now it's coming to this new plane we want to push instead" handwave but given the popularity of Innistrad it'll probably get at least one more visit when the time comes.
I love Innistrad in MTG, yet on the list, why was nice Arlinn Kord excluded? Oh wait, she needs to pair with Ulrich of the Krallenhorde to work nicely. Man! I hate how some cards do not work alone! In SOI, many cards work nicely alone, while a few were powerful but worked poorly alone! Though, Nahiri and Arlinn work nicely, Arlinn works in wild way, while Nahiri works more on focus. Avacyn was okay, yet still brought disadvantage to your side of the field. I loved SOI, but at times, I wish it was better too...
@@NizzahonMagic son of a bitch! Why such a good Assassin card has only 1 point?! Damn. I guess many good advantage cards are badly viewed. Well, at least Arlinn Kord has an Emblem thaf allows you to attack your opponent directly with no block allowed basically. That is the fun part!

I'm 99% sure that Nahiri's ultimate was made with Emrakul in mind. Using her that way is lore friendly, after all!

That block was creepy as hell, not scary, just creepy. Like something's just slightly wrong, like uncanny valley creepy.
I loved that artwork. Not so realistic as a modern block, sure, but there was something beautiful in almost every card.

I forgot how impactful that set really was. EMN was pretty great too.
