I left the Mormon church 2 years ago (my husband is still active) and when I googled you, I read about how you came up with this song when grappling with death of all kinds. Leaving religion has made death (including mourning the death of a past life and belief) much more real and terrifying and fascinating to me and I feel this song encapsulates my feelings perfectly. Stunningly, beautiful music I had tears running down my face I don’t think I’ve ever been so moved hearing a tune for the first time!
I was half asleep listening to NPR this morning, when this was played. I was instantaneously awake as soon as I heard her voice. For the past few years, I have been appreciating higher pitched voices that had attracted me in my teens, so the joy of hearing something new to discover has made my morning especially positive! Then I saw the video - a real HARP?! Brilliant! Thanks so much for sharing your art with us!
